Emperor Phoenix World

Chapter 20 Sun and Moon Mountain Range 4

Ye Yan and Ye Tian breathed sighs of relief, realizing that Ye Mo had been carried earlier. They had thought that a waste like him was beyond redemption. Even if he didn’t possess magical abilities, at least he couldn’t be allowed to become a warrior. If he turned into a warrior, the label of “waste” would no longer apply. To label warriors as “waste” would provoke the wrath of many, given that the Qilan Empire’s strength relied on its warriors. These warriors defended their homes and country, and insulting them was inexcusable.

“Yan’er, are you still interested in pursuing me?” Prince Bailiqing asked Ye Yan.

Ye Yan contemplated for a moment and then shook his head, saying, “Prince, there’s no need. Yan’er understands that you have your reasons for coming to the Sun Moon Mountain Range. Yan’er won’t impose by having you accompany me. However, since my younger brother and I are already here, we’d like to explore the Moon Devouring Mountain Range with you. May we join you?”

“Of course,” Bailiqing happily agreed. “Yeyang and I are close friends, and you’re his younger sister, while Ye Tian is his younger brother. How could I refuse you? Besides, we’re here to hunt monster cores.”

Ye Yan smiled and didn’t say much.

The Sun and Moon Mountains were densely forested, teeming with monsters and peculiar flora.

Perched on a tall tree, Yemo stood and drew her phoenix ring into a bow, placing a spiritual arrow on it, aiming at a Storm Wolf.

She released the arrow, which flew swiftly toward the Storm Wolf, piercing it with incredible force before the creature could react. Yilin and Yiluo quickly descended, finishing off the wounded wolf. Yiluo extracted the beast core from the dead creature and held it up for Yemo to see.

Approaching, Yemo accepted the beast core, smiling as she applied some medicine to her lips. She then walked over to Yiluo.

Yiluo handed her the beast core and asked, “Miss, why does Yilin need wind-type and fire-type beast cores for her medicinal ingredients? Shouldn’t she require water-type and fire-type instead?”

Yemo responded with a smile, “The wind fuels the fire.” These few words conveyed the concept, making Yilin and Yiluo understand the reasoning.

“Next, let’s search for fire-type monsters,” Yemo declared, walking ahead. Her two maids followed suit.

By the time they arrived at the Sun Moon Mountain Range, evening was fast approaching. They had already been walking for some time, and the sky was growing dark.

“Miss, it’s getting dark. We should find a place to rest,” Yiluo suggested, gazing at the sky and Ye Mo.

Yemo nodded, using her keen hearing to locate the sound of flowing water nearby. She then said, “Let’s continue a little further; there’s a river ahead where we can rest.”

Yilin and Yiluo agreed, and the three of them advanced swiftly.

Yemo’s prediction was accurate, as they soon reached the river’s edge.

Pausing by the river, Yilin prepared to wash her hands, but Yemo stopped her.
