Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Luck Makes You Scared

"Is there really such a thing as drawing items from other worlds?"

Iskandar said with excitement, "Come on, give it a try. Let us see what treasures these other worlds have to offer!"

"It might not be a treasure. For all we know, it could just be something useless, like a clump of grass."

Despite his words, Chihiro activated the Otherworld Random Draw Card.

A flash of white light later, a toy-like pistol and a six-star coin appeared in Chihiro's hands.

[Ding! Congratulations to host Chihiro for drawing the Light Energy Device!]

[Light Energy Device: A summoning device from another world. Insert the six-star coin into the gun barrel and fire. This action will generate a magic circle to summon the Light Energy Messenger. The Light Energy Messenger is a large-scale magical entity.]

Chihiro's eyes widened in disbelief.

Just earlier, he had jokingly thought about piloting a mecha and now he actually had one.

The Light Energy Messenger, also known as the Earth Magic King, was a mecha protagonist from the childhood anime Madö King Granzört that Chihiro had watched in his previous life.

In the world of Madö King , the Light Energy Messenger was a colossal mecha created by the long-eared tribe that lived inside the moon. Its purpose was to combat the Dark Evil God, and it operated on magical energy.

In that world, "magic power" was essentially just another name for mana, and mana was the energy harnessed by the long-eared tribe to power their creations.

Aside from the Light Energy Messenger, there were two other mechas: the Storm Messenger and the Wave Messenger.

The Light Energy Messenger had two modes: its hands and feet folded into a giant face known as "Face Mode" during standby. Once the pilot was in place, it transformed into a humanoid "Combat Mode" for battle.

What set it apart was its unique feature, it was the only one of the three mechas with a rudimentary self-awareness, serving as a guide for its pilot.

Chihiro never expected he would actually obtain something like this.

"You're smiling so much, you must have drawn something good."

Iskandar's curiosity was piqued. "Come on, tell us what you got."

Chihiro smiled mysteriously. "Well… let me keep it a secret for now. I'll find an open space tonight and show it to everyone."

"Hmph, why the suspense? Just tell me already!"

Meanwhile, in the Yggdmillennia Castle...

"...This is ridiculous."

Darnic stared at the magazine in his hands, his expression a mix of disbelief and frustration.

The magazine was something he had just received from his bronze treasure chest.

The Jeanne d'Arc Fan Club Set.

What even was this?

The set included a magazine titled "If You Make a Mistake, It's Instant ☆ Torture: Orleans Maiden Quiz - 100 Questions in Black and White"

"What in the world is this supposed to be?"

Astolfo curiously eyed the magazine in Darnic's hands.

Darnic sighed. "If you like it, you can have it."

"Really? Then I won't hold back!" Astolfo said excitedly, snatching the magazine and immediately flipping through it with great interest.

"Darnic, there's movement," Avicebron suddenly said, his tone calm yet firm.

"What kind of movement?"

"The homunculus, Sieg, has awakened," Avicebron explained.

Hearing this, Astolfo's eyes lit up in excitement, much to Celenike's annoyance.

"Let's go check it out," Vlad III commanded.

The group made their way to the basement, where several magi were gathered around Sieg, who lay naked on the ground.

The homunculus looked weak and frightened, instinctively trying to move away, but his body refused to cooperate.

"Don't move," Astolfo said cheerfully as he walked forward and picked Sieg up effortlessly. "Don't worry. You're safe now."

"Ah..." Sieg murmured faintly. Though he didn't fully understand what was happening, Astolfo's bright and sincere smile put him at ease. He closed his eyes and fell unconscious.

"As agreed, he's in your care now," Vlad III said to Siegfried. His tone remained calm, but there was a warning in his words. "However, I don't want to see the events from the video come to pass. Do you understand?"

Siegfried, standing nearby, nodded solemnly. "I understand."

Astolfo gave an energetic salute. "Don't worry! I'll take good care of him."

Vlad III gave a slight nod before leaving with the others.

The only ones visibly unhappy with Sieg's presence were Gordes and Celenike, the two Masters.

Chiron, as composed as ever, gave Astolfo a nod of encouragement before wheeling Fiore out of the room.

"So, where should we put him?" Astolfo asked, scratching his head. "If I keep him in my room, my Master will definitely cause trouble."

"Then leave him in mine," Siegfried offered. "My Master has a strong sense of pride. He won't stoop to attacking someone who's already so weak."

"Really? Thank you, Siegfried!" Astolfo beamed.

"It's nothing," Siegfried replied with a small smile.

Back with Chihiro...

Chihiro had found an excuse to return to his room, eager to open the additional treasure chest he'd obtained.

"Ding! Congratulations to the group member host for obtaining the Noble Phantasm – Diamond Cutter!"

Looking at the bracelet-like object in his hand, Chihiro was momentarily speechless.

He had just received a Noble Phantasm earlier, and now he'd gotten another one.

The Diamond Cutter was a well-known artifact, even in myths.

This artifact could expand or contract at will, was invulnerable to swords and spears, immune to water and fire, and possessed incredible strength. Even Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, was rendered dizzy when struck by it.

The Diamond Cutter's greatest ability was its power to collect other magical weapons and even dissolve elemental attacks like water, fire, thunder, and lightning.

The Noble Phantasm version retained all these effects but also added the ability to store and seal other Noble Phantasms.

Any Noble Phantasm absorbed by the Diamond Cutter would be sealed within its storage space, unable to be retrieved by its original owner unless released by the user.

It was essentially a Noble Phantasm killer.

Of course, there were limits. Treasures like Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon or Iskandar's Ionioi Hetairoi couldn't be absorbed due to their conceptual nature. Additionally, if the original owner of the absorbed treasure left the battlefield, the sealed item would disappear as well.

It wasn't a permanent acquisition tool, but it was still a powerful weapon.

Despite the incredible luck he'd had today, Chihiro couldn't help but feel a little uneasy.

His master from had taught him about balance, when yin and yang tipped too far in one direction, something would inevitably go wrong.

"I've been too lucky today," he muttered. "What if I've used up all my good fortune?"

Luck was a strange and unpredictable force, after all.

Suddenly, the door burst open.

"Yaya?" Chihiro blinked as a small creature scurried into the room, hiding beneath his feet.

"What's wrong with you?"

He had let the little critters out to get some fresh air earlier but hadn't had time to bring them back yet.

Looking toward the door, he froze.

Standing there was Artoria, her eyes glistening as she stared at Yaya with an expression of longing.

"Artoria…?"

"(ˉ﹃ˉ)"

Yaya, clearly terrified, let out a panicked noise. "(Д)"

Chihiro sighed. He quickly picked up Yaya and returned the creature to the Classic Space.

"It's not food," he said firmly.

"But..." Artoria looked at him with a pitiful expression. "It looks so plump and delicious."

"Didn't you just eat lunch?" Chihiro said, exasperated. "How are you still hungry?"

"Sorry," she admitted sheepishly. "I guess I got hungry again without realizing it."

Chihiro pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. Let's go get something to eat."

---

A short while later, Chihiro and his group were at a barbecue restaurant, having followed a recommendation from a passerby.

The restaurant's specialty was its Romanian-style roasted pork elbow, which was finally enough to satisfy Artoria's appetite.

After finding a table, Chihiro immediately ordered twenty portions of the dish.

The owner stared at him in disbelief, clearly wondering if Chihiro was there to cause trouble.

"Hurry up," Chihiro urged. "We're really hungry."

When the food arrived, each person took one serving, while the rest were placed in front of Artoria.

"Hmm, this is pretty good," Iskandar remarked as he tore into his portion. He washed it down with a large glass of draft beer, savoring the modern-day delicacy.

"Tsk. What's so special about this?" Gilgamesh sneered, eyeing the dish in disdain.

Of course, he didn't touch it. Maintaining his regal image in front of everyone was more important than enjoying the food.

Artoria, on the other hand, was ecstatic. When she finished her portion, she immediately called out to the owner. "Twenty more!"

The owner was stunned. How could someone so slim eat so much? Still, he hurried to prepare more food.

Chihiro also asked for some bread, vegetable salad, and other snacks to round out the meal. If Artoria only ate pork elbows, she might very well eat the restaurant out of its entire stock.

Understanding the situation, the owner hung up a "Temporarily Closed" sign. He knew he wouldn't be able to serve anyone else today.

---

Outside the restaurant, Mordred and Sisigou happened to walk by.

"Why's it closed already?" Mordred asked, frowning.

Sisigou sighed. "I wanted to treat you to something good, but it looks like we'll have to go somewhere else."
