Chapter 11: The confrontation between Ragna and Gilgamesh 2
Gilgamesh clenched his teeth, and a golden wave appeared before him. He summoned the Sword of Rupture and stared at Ragna with a proud gaze. "I admit, you are a formidable opponent. I grant you the honor of being slain by this sword. Now, be honored and die!" Gilgamesh looked at Ragna with a triumphant smile, as if the outcome of the battle was already decided.
For the first time in this world, Ragna felt a sense of danger. He became serious and prepared his entire being for this battle. He gripped his sword tightly, took a deep breath, straightened his posture, and concentrated all his energy and power into his sword. The two stared at each other, both ready to unleash their full strength and bring the battle to an end.
Meanwhile, in the Tohsaka mansion in Tokyo, Tokiomi Tohsaka was kneeling on the ground, gasping for breath. He clutched his chest, sweat pouring down his forehead. Gilgamesh's excessive use of magical energy had put immense strain on Tokiomi's body. He felt as if he were on the verge of collapse. "Should I stop him? If I allow him to use more of his power, it will only get worse for me. If he continues to use magical energy at this rate, I might dry up completely." Tokiomi stared helplessly at the Command Seal on his hand.
Severe coughs wracked his body, and blood spilled from his mouth. "If I summon the King now, he will likely kill me. What should I do?" Tokiomi, who was once proud and powerful, now found himself in a pitiful state. If anyone saw him like this, they would surely laugh.
Nevertheless, Tokiomi made a decision. "With the Command Seal, I order: King, calm your rage and return!" The Command Seal on his hand glowed and activated. Magical energy swirled in the air, affecting Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh gritted his teeth and turned his head, as if searching for the source of this energy. "You play the role of a loyal minister in front of me, and then you do something like this? Foolishness has its limits!" Gilgamesh's voice roared like a wild beast. "You got lucky this time. Next time, I will kill you personally." Gilgamesh's body was engulfed in golden light as he looked at Ragna.
Ragna watched Gilgamesh's transfer with disinterest. "As expected of Tokiomi, he has quite the nerve. Is this courage or foolishness?" Ragna stroked his chin and fell into serious thought.
At the same time, a voice echoed in Ragna's mind. It was Medea's voice: "Master, the rescue of Sakura was successful. I eliminated that insect." Ragna smirked. "Well done, Medea."
Ragna pondered the situation ahead. "It seems all the Servants and Masters have retreated. Given the power that Gilgamesh and I displayed, they will likely target us. There is no longer a crisis like Caster. Tokiomi will probably use his connections with the Church to target me. Not that it matters much to me." Ragna smiled confidently, ready to face any challenge that lay ahead.
Ragna removed his cloak from his waist and, with a calm and firm motion, draped it over his shoulders once more. He cast a deep and sharp glance around him, taking in the scene of widespread destruction that had resulted from his battle with Gilgamesh. The entire dock was completely obliterated, with shattered pieces of wood and stone scattered everywhere, and seawater slowly flowing through the ruins. If Gilgamesh had used the Sword of Rupture, even half of Fuyuki City would have been destroyed. The power of the King of Heroes was no joke; he was the oldest king in human history and existed on a completely different level. Sometimes, Ragna wondered how Emiya Shirou had managed to defeat Gilgamesh. Even if Gilgamesh was arrogant, defeating him should have been impossible. But as expected of the protagonist's aura, he always made the impossible possible. Or perhaps it wasn't that simple; maybe one of the Counter Forces, like Alaya, or even Alaya herself, had intervened. Who knew? Ragna thought deeply about this, his eyes lost in the horizon, as if searching for answers hidden within these profound mysteries.
