FOUND YOU IN MY NIGHTMARES

Chapter 3: Finding the connection

After the whole incident with Alex and Phoebe, Matt and Lexy decided to help with what they could. It actually felt less stressful when I had people who stood by me and I didn't feel like I was going crazy but I was still traumatic as the dreams continued and the were still very horrific.

" Guys what if we had a group name, like the Dream catchers or Fate changers," Matt randomly suggested.

" It's not supposed to be a fun thing, can't you at least consider Dew's feelings," Lexy scolded.

" It's fine I'm alright and I think dream catchers is very catchy," I responded with a smile.

" Something's bothering you, you can talk to us," Lexy said worriedly.

" I dreamt of someone dying as always but this time it was different," I started.

" What was different about this dream?" Matt asked curiously.

" I felt or at least I think I know the person but I can't seem to figure it out how I do," I said.

" Is it a woman or a man, what makes you think you know them, I thought your dreams were of random people," Matt said.

" Well technically the people in his dreams were somehow connect to other people that were connected with him, you've never dreamt of someone you know," Lexy put across.

" Maybe I'm just overthinking it, anyway I can't stay with you guys for long I'm having a family dinner,"

" Let me guess, your dad's looking for a new partner," Lexy said.

" I guess so, anyway you know how he is, see you guys tomorrow,"

" Call as Incase of anything, we are I call away," Lexy assured.

" Yes, Alex and I are here too, just for you," Matt said and I couldn't help but smile.

Family dinners was a way for my dad to get investors to invest in the company, until now I have no idea why we called them family dinner.

" Hey mum, who's the investor this time," I asked.

" Don't say it like that, you should be happy the company is doing well, it's your future," my mum responded as she always does, I was kind of tired with that answer, she had been tell me that since I was young.

" Mr Miles welcome to our home," my dad welcomed.

This was the Mafia boss that Matt had talked about, what business was he doing with my father.

" This is Dew, my only son," dad continued with the introduction.

" It's nice to meet you sir," I politely greeted.

" It's not our first time meeting, now is it Nong Dew," Miles responded with a smirk.

" Nong?"

" Miles here is also half Thai just like you," my Mom responded after noticing my confused expression.

" Sorry I don't really speak any Thai," I responded and he just looked at me smiled then walked away.

He said that it wasn't our first time meeting, did he mean our eye contact from the hospital ? That wasn't that much of a meet but he did look like he recognized me. I immediately had to call Matt and Lexy.

" Hello guys, I think I'm in trouble," I started.

" Hey Dew come down, what's going on did you recognize someone," Matt asked curiously.

" Sadly yes, but this one is far more dangerous for even us to handle, it involves a bombing," I hesitantly responded.

" We have to call the police, who is the victim and how are you connected with them and how did the dream happen," Lexy asked worriedly.

" Matt do you remember Miles, the Mafia boss you talked about, well he's here,"

" What is he doing at your house? Is he the one in danger? The bombing suddenly makes sense," Matt responded.

" He's not the one in danger, it's his mother, "

After Miles walked away I noticed a familiar face walking towards me, the vivid dream came haunting me back of how she blew up and all I could do was just stand there.

" I don't know what to do because technically I don't have proof of the bombing about to happen and from what I remember it looked more like an attack, I guess they were driving home from my house, guys what do I do,"

" Then make sure they don't leave your house, if they don't leave, there will be no attack, destiny changed," Matt suggested.

" Matt how do you expect him to do that, he can't just walk up to them and be like, ' y'all can't leave because I dreamt that someone will kill you, have a goodnight," Lexy said sarcastically.

" Guys this is not really the best time to be arguing, I have to hung up now, text me ideas," I said hanging up.

This type of dinners were always boring to me since I wasn't really into business and all the business talks didn't really make any sense to me but at this particular moment I didn't even have time to be bored. There was someone's life at stake and unless the heavens were on my side there was no way I could stop Miles and his mother from leaving. Come to think of it, in my dream I only saw Miles' mother and not him, did this mean something.

" Anyway thenks for the nice dinner, everything was delicious and I hope to do business with you in the coming future," Miles' mother said as they were done with dinner. I really had to make an excuse for them to stay.

" Ooh mum I just heard that the road leaving our house has been badly damaged, I think it will be good if the guest stayed the night," I said.

" What are you talking about son, don't be ridiculous," my mum said.

" Can't they just spend the night, you can talk more business stuff and it's pretty late we can't send them home like this," I said trying to convince them but all in vain. But I really had to stop her from dying no matter what it took.

" Miles, I don't want you to ask me how I know this just trust me, go the long way home, please don't go the road you usually go with, please trust me," I said and he looked at me with a confused expression the he suddenly smiled at me and messed with my hair.

From that expression I could tell that he wouldn't agree to what I had said, maybe he thought I was crazy but somehow even after they left, something still felt off because in my dream I really didn't see Miles in the car. Was the accident maybe not supposed to happen yet? All I could do was wait.
