Game Of Thrones : Merchant of Two Worlds

Chapter 116: 116. The company starts to run

"It depends on how much you value my family, Xiaohan. After all, he's the financial manager of your company and controls its finances. Isn't it only natural to visit his uncles and aunts?" Jiang Chuchu said confidently.

Jason Liu was left speechless. In the end, he nodded reluctantly. "Fine, I'll visit them when I have time. But for now, you two should focus on leasing that factory first!"

"Don't worry! Xiaohan and I will handle it," Jiang Chuchu assured him, full of confidence. She was still hoping Jason would promote her to sales manager, so she was determined to perform well.

That evening, after work, the team went to a four-star hotel in the high-tech zone. There were nine of them in total, and they booked a private room for dinner.

At the table, Jason got the chance to meet the four new employees he had recently hired:

Emily Parker from the Finance Department—a quiet girl with thick glasses and an ordinary appearance.

Ethan from the Purchasing Department—a cheerful, chubby guy who seemed to always be laughing.

Lucas Reed from the Purchasing Department—a younger recruit, fresh out of vocational high school, with a sharp mind and a quick wit.

Samantha from the Personnel Department—a lively woman with heavy makeup. She was taller than Jiang Chuchu and had a sharp tongue. Her energy and personality were somewhat similar to Jiang Chuchu's.

As the introductions went on, Jiang Chuchu couldn't help but compare herself to Samantha. "Are you blind? Of course I'm prettier than her!" she thought to herself. But even Jiang Chuchu admitted that Lin Xiaohan was in a league of her own—a natural beauty who didn't even need makeup.

Jason Liu's thoughts wandered back to his college days. Back then, he had secretly admired Lin Xiaohan from afar. Like any young man, he'd had his fair share of daydreams about his ideal partner. Now that Lin Xiaohan was part of his company, he couldn't help but feel a little excited at the thought of seeing her every day. While he didn't dare to pursue her directly, he still entertained the hope that, over time, she might notice him. "Who knows? Maybe being around her will make her see me differently," he thought.

Jason couldn't help but feel proud of himself for bringing Lin Xiaohan on board. "It's a good sign," he mused.

If Jiang Chuchu had known what he was thinking, she would've mocked him mercilessly. "Seriously? It's 2020, and you're still pulling the old 'CEO and female employee' routine from romance novels? Could you be any more cliché?"

But Jason remained blissfully unaware of how outdated his approach seemed.

The Next Day: Business in Full Swing

The following morning, Fusion Trading officially began operations. In the Purchasing Department, Manager Oliver took his team—Ethan and Lucas Reed—to negotiate deals with suppliers. They met with:

Boss Ma from the soap factory—a major supplier for Jason Liu. Boss Ma personally called Jason to congratulate him on opening his company and promised to ensure the quality of his orders. Jason had placed a massive order for 1 million bars of soap, making it a deal worth millions.

Manufacturers of gel pens, refills, and paper.

A small daily chemical factory for toothbrushes and toothpaste.

The orders were too large to fulfill all at once, so the suppliers agreed to deliver them in batches. For instance, the soap factory shipped an initial batch of 200,000 bars, with more to follow.

By the end of the second day, the first shipment had arrived at the warehouse:

200,000 gel pens

1 million pen refills

2 million sheets of A4 paper

200,000 bars of soap

500,000 toothbrushes

1 million tubes of toothpaste

After verifying the goods, Lin Xiaohan from the Finance Department processed a payment of 700,000 yuan to the suppliers.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chuchu and Lin Xiaohan successfully negotiated a deal to lease a factory outside the third ring road in the high-tech zone. The agreement set the monthly rent at 150,000 yuan, paid annually. The lease was signed for 20 years, and Lin Xiaohan transferred 1.8 million yuan from the company account as the first year's payment.

The factory covered an area of over 5,000 square meters. Jason's plan was to build:

One extra-large warehouse (3,000 square meters)

One large warehouse (1,000 square meters)

Two smaller warehouses (500 square meters each)

Construction on three of the warehouses would take time, so for now, they used the existing 500-square-meter facility.

Jiang Chuchu was tasked with overseeing the construction. To reward her for securing the factory lease, Jason promoted her to sales manager—a role she had been eagerly awaiting. As her first move, she hired two new employees for the Sales Department:

Justin (22 years old)—a recent college graduate drawn by Fusion Trading's competitive salary of 6,000 yuan per month.

Daniel (27 years old)—an experienced professional who left his previous job for better pay and benefits at Fusion Trading.

With her new team, Jiang Chuchu immediately began coordinating the demolition of the old factory buildings and the construction of the new warehouses.

While the rest of the company was bustling with activity, Jason Liu spent his time at home, admiring his newly delivered titanium-alloy sword. The custom-made weapon, called the Stormsong Sword, was 1.2 meters long and 10 centimeters wide. Its dazzling red surface featured intricate cloud patterns, and its polished blade gleamed in the light.

Jason couldn't resist testing it. With one swing, he left a noticeable mark on his older steel sword. "Not bad at all," he thought, feeling satisfied.

As Fusion Trading began to gain momentum, Jason's mind was already buzzing with future plans. For now, though, he could enjoy this small victory.
