Chapter 29: End of the War
The award ceremony took a bit of time to get through. The Romans were especially unused to the fact that someone had taken Jupiter's spot.
When they learned that I had killed Zeus and Ares they had been outraged at first until they realized that I was much more powerful. Minor gods were birthed that day with a few immortal camp counselors.
Percy turned down godhood along with Annabeth, they chose to live their lives in New Rome to go through college.
Thalia was reunited with her brother Jason, and given temporary leave from Lena's hunt. Once the ceremonies were over and done with, I dismissed the Olympians, not really wanting to deal with them.
Nyx stood before me on her knee, my hand on her head as I passed Gaia's domains to her. Nyx flashed green and started to change, her pale skin gaining some color, her dark hair gaining streaks of red. When it was done she gained a few of Gaia's features.
She got up and hugged me gently, careful to not crush her stomach. Kissing me she winked at me when I felt new power filling me.
"We'll talk about that when I get back, I want to go see my other children."
Nyx disappeared in a flash of green leaving behind the smell of a forest. Selene and Lena approached me with matching looks. I winced at the expectant gazes and sat them down on chairs I conjured up.
"Where do I begin?"
"Let's go with; why your sister is carrying your baby." Selene said neutrally.
"Well, when you left I fought Tartarus' avatar and managed to defeat him. Nyx showed up to answer my questions on how Tartarus and my mother somehow gave birth to her. From there we had a discussion about Gaia and the primordials in general.
Then I killed her husband who had been cheating on her and took his power. After which I became one of the protogenoi. We formulated a plan beforehand to make Nyx the new Earth Mother so that she could reunite with her children.
What I didn't know was that the influx of power would knock me out. Time also flows differently in Tartarus, even more so in the Mansion of Night. I was knocked out for nearly two years while assimilating my new powers. There I let the pent up energy get the better of me…"
"Blake, your own sister." Lena added.
I winced, "Yeah I know, it still feels strange. Still, she's carrying my child and I've grown fond of her over the time we spent together."
"So what now?" Selene asked with a sigh.
"I'm already marrying the two of you soon, I'm just completing the collection at this rate."
Selene raised an eyebrow, "Collection?"
"It sounds rude I know, but think about it. You're a ravenette, Lena is a blonde, and Nyx is now basically a redhead, all I need is a brunette and I'll have a complete collection of women."
"What happened to denying that this is a harem?" Lena asked while smirking at me.
"Yeah I've made peace with the fact that women will be drawn to me no matter what I do." I replied.
Selene rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'm still the head wife and your bonded mate."
'That's surprising, I thought she'd be more annoyed…'
Perk Gained
Harmonious Harem:
Your power undoubtedly draws powerful women to you. Women will be less inclined to jealousy towards their harem sisters. You gain a 10% buff to your powers for each woman in your harem.
'What the fuck?' I thought while looking at the notification.
"That was me, now do me a favor and give me more grandbabies."
'Mom?'
"Yes, you are taking my job aren't you? It's the least you could do."
'I- wha- FINE, I will not be going out of my way for that but I do owe you. I'm going after the asshole that got dad after this by the way.'
"Be careful Blake, just because you're a primordial god now doesn't mean that you should be any less wary."
'I know mom, Gaia showed me that when I fought her. And also thank you. For everything.'
I felt my mother's presence fade away as she returned to her own realm.
"Blake?"
I looked up, spotting the concerned look on both Selene and Lena's faces. I realized that I had been standing in place seemingly doing nothing for the past few moments.
"Right, I just had a conversation with my mother. She just told me a few things. Also yes, I agree. Selene will be the head wife and Lena can be the second. You two are the first and deserve the best."
"I don't really know if being in a harem is 'the best' but I'm willing to give it a shot." Lena said.
"While normally I'd never share you with anyone I'm strangely alright with the thought of you breaking women with your massive tool."
I wince, the new perk was affecting them strongly.
'Still, I'm going to push forward. Selene and Lena are important to me and the perk doesn't mention altering people's feelings only that it would negate any jealousy between them.'
I wasn't sure what it meant by 'drawing' powerful women to me. I just hoped it wouldn't be too big of a deal when it came to it. I was already impulsive as is.
"We were worried, you were staring off into the distance." Lena added.
"No need to worry, just deep in thought. I don't particularly want a harem but if it happens, it happens. I'm not going to complain about having multiple women."
Selene rolled her eyes; "Of course not, you're a man."
"That's true." I chuckled. "By the way, where's Luna and Aurora?"
"They're off on a mission." Lena replied.
"They got tired of waiting for you and decided to go explore the world." Selene smirked.
"Alone?"
"Blake they grew up, they could practically pass off as young adults now."
"Fine, let's just get back to the camp. I have a few things left to take care of before we go on a hunt."
"We?" Selene and Lena asked at the same time.
"We're going to go hunt the fucker that killed my dad."
Selene and Lena's eyes hardened, they shared a look with each other and nodded.
"Let's go then, I have a new set of special arrows I want to test out." Lena said.
"I've been practicing this attack, it wouldn't hurt to try it on someone." Selene added.
I grinned at the two goddesses, "Have I told you two about how much I love you?"
"Not nearly enough." They both replied at the same time.
[Scene Break]
Once we teleported into camp, Selene and Lena immediately ran to their cabins to make preparations while I looked around at the busy camp.
Demigods were walking around dismantling traps and fortifications while others made repairs to the minor damages. I decided to let them handle it instead of waving a hand and fixing it all myself. They needed to build some character after all.
The Romans had all left already, but I could see some banners that they left behind with some of the campers as 'keep sakes' of their time fighting together.
I didn't know if they actually fought together since apparently the Greeks and the Romans hated each other but they at least had gotten along when I was fighting earlier that day.
"Lord Corvinus." Chiron greeted as he cantered over in his centaur form.
"Chiron, how's everything in camp?"
"Ah, well things are going smoothly now that the Romans are gone. Having such a large army made the cabins anxious especially since the Romans were a strange bunch to them."
"They do realize that they're all still half siblings right?"
"Er- yes, I believe so. I think their upbringings were just so different that they found it difficult to relate."
"What about Percy and Annabeth. Those two are the de facto leaders of this camp."
"What about them My Lord?"
"They've agreed to 'retire' from the demigod life in New Rome. Could they not help forge bonds between the camps?"
"Ah, yes. Of course, the Romans might still be a bit put off with how a resident of ours attacked them."
"What?"
"Leo Valdez, he was possessed by a spirit and fired at the Roman camp when they went to rescue Percy."
"Right… what's being done about that?"
"As of the moment? Nothing, the campers refuse to hand Leo over for a trial."
"Could be worse, the Romans could just call for his execution. At least they want to give him a trial."
"They did want to execute him at first. They heard about his possession and changed their minds. There is another problem though."
"What is it?"
"Leo is currently missing, he returned to camp rambling about an island earlier today and the others haven't been able to find him since."
"Strange, do you have anything that belonged to him? I could try using magic to find him."
"We've already tried scrying My Lord, it doesn't seem to work. If Lord Hades hadn't confirmed that his soul wasn't in the Underworld we would have assumed he was dead."
"So he's just untraceable for the moment?"
"Could be in Ogygia." A voice added making Chiron and I turn.
Percy approached us with Annabeth by his side.
"Ogygia?"
"Of course!" Chiron exclaimed.
"Excuse me, could someone please explain?"
"Ogygia is an island hidden by magic from the outside world." Annabeth replied.
"The Titaness Calypso is imprisoned on that island." Percy added.
"And how do you know this?" I asked.
Percy chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "I- uh, I blew up a mountain a few years ago and somehow ended up on it. I made a promise to Calypso to go back for her and petitioned for her release but the Olympians didn't seem to remember to keep their end?"
"Fucking Olympians…" I trailed off. "So what makes you think Leo is over there?"
"He needed up there too and when he came back he was pretty mad at Percy here for not keeping his promise to Calypso." Annabeth teases Percy with a smirk.
"The dude is head over heels for Calypso, he told me that he was making plans on finding a way back."
"Right, I'm the king of Olympus. Shouldn't be that hard to lift a prison sentence right?"
"What do you mean?" Percy asked.
"The Olympians. They were supposed to free the titans after the war were they not?' Percy nodded. "Then I'm going to free whoever they didn't before. Shouldn't be too hard with my new power levels."
"Are you going to find the island?"
"It's hidden so I might have to brute force it over."
"What do you mean by 'force it over'."
I closed my eyes instead of answering and felt for the island. I let my senses sweep over every bit of the world scanning each and every spot that felt like it had magic.
I came across a few areas that had massive 'blank' areas and smiled. It wasn't that hard to find something hidden when all you had to look for was an absence.
Especially when something obviously was missing from a spot. I found a few of those in England. Large blank spots around Scotland and London. I made a note to check those out at a later date. Then I scanned the oceans.
There was a few spots with hidden locations. A massive spot in the Atlantic and a spot in the Pacific that reeked of Greek magic.
Percy and Annabeth were still throwing questions at me but I continued to ignore them to focus on my task. Grabbing hold of the island with my powers I pulled and immediately felt the massive strain on my MP.
I pushed forward and yanked with the rest of my MP. In the middle of the camp's lake the island appeared with a loud boom. It had taken nearly all my MP to transport the whole island here.
'I really need to find a way to get unlimited MP.' I mentally sighed.
"Wha- what the hell?" Percy said as Annabeth gasped at the island's appearance.
"Ta da." I smirked. "No need to go looking for Leo when I could just bring the whole damn place over."
Shouting and gasps of shock could be heard from the island. On the distant shore I spotted a Latino boy standing next to a young woman in robes. I looked back over to Chiron.
"What were we talking about again?"
"Leo Valdez's trial My Lord."
"Right! Nearly forgot, there you go then. Oh yeah, Percy Annabeth. Since you two are going to go do the whole college thing in New Rome I'm making the two of you ambassadors for the Greeks."
"What why?" "It would be an honor My Lord." Percy and Annabeth replied.
"Because Percy, the two camps don't need to be two camps. Just cause you call your parents different names doesn't change the fact that they're still your parents."
"They're so stuffy though."
"They're Romans Percy, they're more structured than you guys."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"
"He means that they're just better organized Seaweed Brain." Annabeth scoffed at her boyfriend.
"I don't mean it as an insult, I just think you guys ought to get along with your other siblings. Like I said, they may have different names for the Olympians but at the end of the day they're still your half siblings."
"They're still stuffy…" Percy grumbled.
"We'd be honored to forge a better relationship between the camps Lord Corvinus. Just ignore Percy's grumbling." Annabeth said as she pushed Percy towards the island I materialized in the middle of their lake.
"Did you really have to put the lake there?" Chiron sighed.
"Nope, I thought it would be funny though."
"How did you even know it would fit?" He asked.
I smirked while looking at the tired old centaur. "I didn't."
Chiron groaned.
