Chapter 56: Bow
Then both Amber and Kaeya stopped, as they saw the Artifact changes as it changed into a Bow it strings was not tied, as the bow was a Golden yellows it looked like recover bow in degine, it thr simbles of the seven elements, smoke came out of the bow as it made words, it seems to khaenri'ah text, as Kaeya looked at it
Amber looked at Kaeya as she spoke. "Khaenrian text?".
Kaeya then read the text, which he releases sounded like a prophecy. "Just what I need a prophecy"
Amber looked at Kaeya as she spoke. "You know Khaenrian".
Kaeya scratched the back of his head, as he lied which Amber didn't catch. "Kinda".
The bow continued to glow faintly as the smoke swirled around it, the Khaenri'ah text lingering in the air like an ancient warning. Amber squinted at the markings, her mind racing as she tried to decipher the symbols. It was clear this was no ordinary artifact. The bow itself had transformed before their very eyes, a gleaming golden hue with intricate designs that shimmered in the dim light.
"Kaeya," Amber said, her voice filled with concern. "What does it say?"
Kaeya glanced over at her, pretending to read the symbols with careful attention. He wasn't entirely familiar with the Khaenri'ah script, but he could make out some familiar words. "It's... a prophecy of sorts," he replied, his tone steady but laced with uncertainty. "It speaks of a coming darkness, something hidden in the heart of Teyvat. It says, 'When the seven elements align, the arrow will strike, and the world shall change.'"
Amber's eyes widened as she processed the meaning of the words. "That sounds... ominous. Do you think this bow is tied to that prophecy? Is it supposed to be wielded by someone?"
Kaeya stepped closer to the bow, inspecting it closely. The string was still unattached, as if waiting for someone to claim it. His fingers hovered over it for a moment, considering the possibilities. "It's possible," he murmured. "But we can't be sure. It's clear that this artifact is tied to something bigger than us, something far beyond Mondstadt."
Amber crossed her arms, looking between Kaeya and the bow. "But why is it here? In this ruined city? And why did it change right after we defeated that guardian?"
Kaeya looked at Amber, his expression thoughtful. "That's the question, isn't it? Maybe the guardian was its protector. The artifact might have been waiting for someone strong enough to unlock its power. Or... it's possible it was testing us."
Amber's mind spun with questions. "What do we do now? Do we take it back to Mondstadt for study?"
Kaeya shook his head. "No. I think it's better we keep it here for now. If this prophecy is true, it could be too dangerous for the city. We'll need to be cautious."
Amber frowned but nodded in agreement. "And what about the Khaenri'ah connection? The prophecy mentions something about the seven elements. Could this be related to what happened there?"
Kaeya's eyes darkened slightly as he thought about the ancient civilization of Khaenri'ah, its destruction, and the secrets that still lay buried beneath the surface. "It could be. Khaenri'ah's downfall was tied to the elements, and this bow may be a key to something that was lost... or something yet to come."
For a moment, there was silence between them. Amber could feel the weight of Kaeya's words, the gravity of the situation pressing down on them. This wasn't just a simple artifact. It was something much larger, and it could change the course of Teyvat's history.
Amber looked at the bow once more, her fingers itching to touch it, to claim it for herself. "Do you think we should try to tie the string?"
Kaeya's eyes flickered to the bow, his gaze calculating. "We don't know what will happen if we do. That's why we need to be careful. Whatever this bow is, it has power, and it's linked to a prophecy. Tying that string could trigger something we're not ready for."
Amber reluctantly stepped back, her curiosity still burning within her. "I just... I feel like it's calling to me, Kaeya."
"I know," he said quietly, his voice softer than usual. "It's calling to both of us. But we have to resist. We can't afford to rush into something we don't fully understand."
Just as they were about to leave the artifact chamber, Amber stopped, looking back at the bow one more time. "Do you think we'll find out more about Khaenri'ah? About what happened there?"
Kaeya didn't respond immediately. He stared at the bow, his mind swirling with memories of his past, of the fall of Khaenri'ah, and the things he still hadn't uncovered about it. "I don't know," he said after a moment. "But whatever it is, we'll face it together. And when the time comes... we'll be ready."
With that, they both turned and made their way out of the chamber, leaving the mysterious bow behind, its golden glow flickering in the shadows as the prophecy hung over them like an unanswered question.
As they ascended from the depths of the ruined city, Kaeya couldn't shake the feeling that they had just uncovered a thread in the fabric of Teyvat's future. What came next, he didn't know—but he was certain that the bow was just the beginning of something much greater.
And with Amber by his side, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. After a while, they told Jean she then sent a large group of knights to investigate, they then brought the Bow back to Mondstandt after all why no test it.
So there the group was In a room, as it was Diluc, Jean, Eula, Amber, Kaeya and Lisa.
Lisa was looking at the Bow eying it up and down. "It seems Divine or will kinda, it is heard not all my spells are built for something like this".
Kaeya then sigehd as he spoke. "Again, I think it was bad idea to bring this here".
Jean then spoken, as he eyes meet Kaeya. "While yes you are correct, at the same time we don't know what would happen if didn't bring the Bow back".
Diluc then spoke as he looked at Lisa. "Anything else you found out".
Lisa then used a quick spell as she spoke. "Other then it's weight being 500 pound and having a draw strength of also 500 pound not so much".
Eula traced her finger at the bow. "Should we try and string it?".
Amber then spoked looking at Eula. "And Trigger the Prophecy probably not".
Lisa then spoke. "There was noting in the prophecy that shas stringing the bow will start the whole mess".
Diluc then looked at Eula as he spoke. "My main Question, do we have the power to string this bow".
Kaeya srugged as he spoke. "Great Question, we are all strong but can we do, I mean I think both me, Diluc, and Eula probably can, but the same time it is hard to say".
Then the door opened, as Aethes and Paimon walked. "Sorry I am late, had to do a mission by Shadow guard and look after a girl name Mona, she is now in Mondstandt".
Amber just looked at as she spoke. "Will that sounds interesting".
Aether then spoke looking at her. "It was will um interesting in a way that is". Aether then looked at the golden bow a bit confused. "What with the bow".
Eula then looked at her husband as she spoke. "We are will discussing if we should or are even able to string it"
Aether looked at the bow as she picked it up. "Really, just do this".
Lisa then spoke. "No Aether the reason we can't is because I checked and it has a Draw strength of 50-". She cut her self of as she blinked Aether just string the bow with no problems. "Will um that is something".
Diluc just blinked as he just spoke. "Did he just string it, like to was noting".
The room fell silent, everyone staring at Aether as he casually held the golden bow with a relaxed grip, the string now taut and perfectly aligned. It had taken the combined efforts of some of Mondstadt's strongest knights just to consider stringing it, and yet, Aether had done it without so much as breaking a sweat.
Kaeya raised an eyebrow, his usual smirk not quite reaching his eyes. "Well, that's one way to break the tension."
Eula, who had been eagerly tracing her finger along the bow moments ago, now stood back, her hands on her hips as she glanced at her husband. "I... didn't expect that," she muttered, almost impressed.
Amber, her eyes wide with shock, looked back and forth between Aether and the bow. "How did you...?"
Lisa, still holding a hand up as if ready to cast a spell to assist, was now blinking rapidly. "This is... unusual," she muttered, her voice a mix of admiration and confusion. "It was supposed to have a draw strength of 500 pounds. Not to mention it felt... heavy."
Diluc, who had been quietly observing the entire scene, finally spoke up, his voice low and full of disbelief. "I've tried it myself," he said, his gaze shifting between Aether and the bow. "That thing was nearly impossible to string without the proper strength. And yet... you just did it."
Aether shrugged casually, letting the bow hang in his hand like it was the most natural thing in the world. "I'm just a bit stronger than I look," he said with a wink, his confidence undeterred. "Though I'm not sure what that means for the prophecy or this bow."
Paimon, who had been standing quietly by Aether's side, now flitted forward, looking around at the group with wide, confused eyes. "Why are all of you so stunned? Paimon doesn't get it."
Jean, who had been silently processing the situation, exchanged a look with Lisa. "It seems... this bow might not be what we thought. Its strength wasn't the only mystery," she said, her voice calm but still tinged with curiosity. "Aether, if you didn't struggle with stringing it, perhaps you have some connection to it that none of us expected."
Kaeya, his expression softening from his usual playful demeanor, crossed his arms. "Maybe it's not about raw strength," he mused aloud. "Maybe it's something else—something to do with the bow's magic or its chosen wielder."
Amber nodded in agreement, her eyes still glued to Aether. "But... the prophecy said the seven elements would align. Do you think this could mean you're part of that prophecy?"
Aether was quiet for a moment, staring at the bow, then at the group around him. He could feel something stirring within the bow, like a faint energy pulsing with each breath. "Maybe," he said, his voice thoughtful. "But I don't know what that means for me or for Mondstadt."
Eula raised an eyebrow. "But why would you be the one able to string it, Aether?" she asked, clearly intrigued. "You're not from Mondstadt, not even from the 7 nation. Could there be a connection with your... nature?"
Lisa gave a small, amused chuckle. "You'll have to excuse her, Aether. Eula's just asking the questions we're all thinking." She turned her gaze to the bow, her fingers still lightly tracing the magical symbols etched into its frame. "We still don't know what its true purpose is, or what will happen next. But now that you've strung it, maybe it's time to test its power."
Diluc frowned, stepping forward with caution. "Let's not rush things," he said firmly. "We still don't understand everything about this bow. Just because Aether can string it doesn't mean we should provoke whatever magic it holds. We need more information."
Kaeya nodded, agreeing with Diluc's sentiment. "Agreed. We've seen what happens when people try to wield forces they don't understand. We can't afford any risks."
Jean, who had been watching the interactions carefully, now spoke up. "I believe we need to investigate this further. But we also need to remember that this artifact could be more dangerous than any of us realize."
Aether glanced at the group, sensing the tension in the air. He knew they were all concerned, and for good reason. This bow wasn't just any relic—it was tied to a prophecy, to Khaenri'ah's lost history, and possibly even to the future of Teyvat.
"I'm not sure if I'm the one who's supposed to wield it," Aether said, his voice low. "But whatever happens next, we'll face it together. We just need to be prepared."
Amber gave a small smile, nodding her agreement. "Whatever happens, we've got each other's backs. And we'll figure this out, Aether."
Paimon hovered by Aether's side again, a mischievous grin on her face. "Yeah! Who else would be better to solve this mystery than the great Aether and his trusty sidekick, Paimon?"
Everyone chuckled at Paimon's antics, the atmosphere lightening just a little, but the gravity of the situation still lingered in the room. They didn't know what would come next, but one thing was certain: this bow—and the prophecy tied to it—was about to change everything.
