Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer Among Exorcists

Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Hiratsuka Shizuka: "You’re Not Blushing, Are You?"

"Shizuka-chan, you really hit hard. That hurt!"

Gojo Satoru crouched down, rubbing his head with a pitiful expression.

Hurt…?

Of course not.

Considering he treated the Limitless Technique as a passive ability, there was no way Hiratsuka Shizuka's punch, as a mere human, could actually harm him.

Even the Basara in Magano couldn't truly hurt or even touch Gojo Satoru—they could only manage to come within a fingertip's distance.

Yes, the distance of the universe at your fingertips..

Seeing Gojo's pitiful act, Shizuka rolled her eyes.

If this had been when they first met, she might have believed him.

But after knowing him for so long, she knew better.

There was no way a normal person like her could harm the legendary exorcist.

(She still believed Gojo was an Onmyoji.)

Moreover, his tone and demeanor were textbook examples of feigned pain.

Yes, confirmed. He's faking it.

As Shizuka's gaze silently said, "Go ahead and keep acting, I'll just keep watching," Gojo sighed dramatically and stood up.

"Shizuka, you've changed. You're not the adorable Shizuka-chan you used to be."

"Oh, and whose fault is it that I can see through your nonsense so clearly now?"

"Uh… hehe."

Gojo chuckled awkwardly.

When he first met Hiratsuka Shizuka, he enjoyed teasing her.

But after doing it so often, she seemed to have gained a new skill: 100% Gojo Bluff Detection.

"Ahem. Let's not dwell on that."

Sitting back in his chair, Gojo dropped his playful demeanor, his face becoming calm and serious.

"Shizuka, are you still carrying the amulet I gave you?"

Half a year ago, he had given her a protective charm.

The amulet served multiple purposes: it could form a temporary barrier when she was in danger, isolate her natural cursed energy to prevent detection, and most importantly, allow Gojo to track her location.

Six months ago, the reason Shizuka had been pulled into Magano was because the Impurities sensed her immense latent cursed energy.

Every Impurity had wanted to absorb her energy to evolve.

"I've been carrying it this whole time," Shizuka replied, lowering her head as she reached down her collar to retrieve the charm hanging around her neck.

Before she could react, Gojo's long fingers reached out to take hold of the charm.

"Hmm, looks like it still has its energy. No need to replace it," he said, examining it with a serious expression.

As Gojo's hands hovered near her chest, Shizuka's face flushed red.

Yes, she blushed.

While he was technically holding the charm, the distance between his hand and her chest was uncomfortably close—just a few centimeters.

To her, it felt as if he were touching something far more personal.

Though she wanted to punch him, the sincerity on his face made her suppress her embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Gojo Satoru was secretly laughing to himself.

There was absolutely no need for him to touch the charm to sense its energy.

All he had to do was feel for the cursed energy remotely.

Besides, this was a charm he had personally crafted—it could last at least ten years unless used in an emergency.

Although he enjoyed seeing the flustered and shy side of "adorable Shizuka," he knew when to stop.

After pretending to examine the charm for about ten seconds, he let go.

"Phew—"

Seeing him withdraw his hand, Shizuka felt a wave of relief.

Though she harbored a certain fondness for Gojo, the fact that their relationship wasn't officially established made her uneasy about him pushing things further.

"Hey, Shizuka-chan, you're not blushing, are you? There's nothing to be shy about with our relationship!" Gojo teased, crossing his legs and covering his mouth in mock surprise.

With her face still slightly red, Shizuka glared at him.

"Shut up! What relationship? And instead of wasting time teasing me, shouldn't you be heading to your class? The new students are probably done settling in by now."

Just as she finished speaking, the school bell rang.

"See? Told you," she said smugly.

"Hmm, looks like it's time to meet my adorable students."

Hearing the bell, Gojo didn't linger. He stood up, stretched, and waved nonchalantly.

"Well then, I'm off. See you later, Shizuka. Bye-bye!"

Bang—

The door closed behind him.

"That guy…"

Shizuka muttered, shaking her head.

Without dwelling further, she grabbed the student roster from her desk and headed to her own classroom.

(Note: The teachers' office was empty aside from Gojo Satoru and Hiratsuka Shizuka, as all the other teachers had already gone to their respective classes.)
