Chapter 6: Chapter 5: Kitagawa Marin's Accident
The blindfold again?
Gojo Satoru muttered inwardly.
Since arriving in this world, countless people had asked him the same questions: Doesn't that blindfold block your vision? Can you really see? Or Does it have some special power? Is that why you always wear it?
But only Gojo himself knew the truth.
That blindfold…
Was completely useless.
He wore it purely for style and to look cool.
As for whether it blocked his vision—did they think his Six Eyes were just for decoration?
The Six Eyes allowed him 360-degree, unrestricted perception of his surroundings. He could lock onto an enemy's position from any distance and even perceive atoms in space for precise manipulation of the Limitless Technique.
(Think of the Six Eyes as a zoom lens.)
Unless someone managed to destroy his eyes completely, there was no way he couldn't see.
"Oh~ Whether I can see clearly through this blindfold is a question that requires a very profound answer~," Gojo said, deliberately stretching out his words.
He even reached up with his right hand and tugged lightly at the edge of his blindfold, as if about to remove it.
But just as the tension peaked…
"It's a man's secret, Chitanda-san. You shouldn't be so curious," he said with a mischievous smile, letting go of the blindfold.
Seriously?!
Although they had only known him for a few minutes, the students in the class had already gotten a sense of their homeroom teacher's personality.
Clearly, he loved teasing them and leaving their curiosity hanging.
"Well, alright," Chitanda Eru said, her disappointment evident. However, her curiosity about Gojo only deepened.
This Gojo-sensei… he's really intriguing!
"Okay, let's move on to the next Poké—er, student," Gojo announced with his usual playful grin.
You were about to say Pokémon, weren't you, Gojo-sensei?!
"Misaki Mei. Nice to meet you," a pale-faced girl said coldly before sitting down.
Her tone and demeanor caused the students around her to instinctively shrink back.
Why does the air suddenly feel so cold?
"Misaki Mei…"
Gojo tilted his head slightly in curiosity.
Using his Six Eyes, he could sense that this girl had cursed energy, but the amount radiating from her body was minimal.
Her left eye, however, which was hidden behind an eyepatch, emitted a significant amount of cursed energy.
(Note: Gojo doesn't know Misaki Mei in this crossover.)
"An implant?"
After observing her for less than a second, Gojo had already reached his conclusion.
I'll have to find time to talk to this intriguing student of mine.
After all, ever since he had arrived in this world, the emergence of Impurities and various other monsters had been becoming increasingly frequent.
For instance, Hiratsuka Shizuka.
Despite possessing immense natural cursed energy, she had been perfectly fine for 27 years until six months ago, when she was dragged into Magano by Impurities.
If Gojo hadn't coincidentally been nearby at the time, Shizuka would have been devoured, her cursed energy absorbed.
"Huh? I remember seeing a Kitagawa Marin on the roster for this class," Gojo remarked, scanning the room but finding no sign of the blonde girl he'd noted earlier.
Before the school term began, Gojo had teleported to Sobu High's rooftop using Limitless and taken a look at the list of his students.
Though his class wasn't filled with main characters or major supporting ones like in a typical novel, there were still a few familiar names from his previous life.
One of them was Kitagawa Marin—a beautiful girl who loved cosplay.
Before Gojo had transmigrated, Kitagawa Marin had been all over short video platforms, capturing everyone's attention.
It was almost ridiculous that a character from a slice-of-life series was now "interacting" with someone from a battle-oriented story like Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu doll collaboration, huh?
"Kitagawa-san? Is Kitagawa-san here? If you're present, please raise your hand high for me!"
The classroom fell completely silent.
Cough.
"Well, it seems Kitagawa-san is late. Ah, how irresponsible! How could she be late on the first day of school?" Gojo said, laughing awkwardly as he tried to sound stern.
"Um, Gojo-sensei…"
A soft voice broke the silence.
A girl with an ordinary appearance raised her hand hesitantly.
"What is it, Tomatsu-san?" Gojo asked.
"Well… Kitagawa-san was in a car accident this morning. She's in the hospital and will need some time to recover. I was her classmate in middle school, and she asked me to pass this message along."
"Oh~ I see. Thank you for letting me know, Tomatsu-san. I'll give her a call later to check on her. You can sit down now."
Tomatsu nodded quickly, her cheeks flushing slightly.
Even though their homeroom teacher seemed mischievous and a bit overbearing in social interactions, his sheer good looks were undeniable.
Even with half his face obscured by the blindfold, it was clear that Gojo Satoru was stunningly handsome.
The thought of speaking to him one-on-one made Tomatsu feel shy.
