Chapter 13: Chapter 13
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said, looking sternly at Harry, Draco, and the other students in front of her.
"Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be asked to leave and will never be allowed back. Consider this a warning."
Professor McGonagall's gaze swept across the students, her expression serious.
Ron raised his hand, looking toward Professor McGonagall.
Noticing him, Professor McGonagall spoke. "Mr. Weasley, do you have a question?"
Since Ron had raised his hand instead of interrupting, he was given the chance to ask.
Harry, Hermione, and Draco all turned to look at Ron, curious about what he would say.
Ron, feeling the attention on him, felt suddenly shy and unsure. He wasn't sure if he should ask his question.
Professor McGonagall noticed his hesitation and repeated, "Mr. Weasley."
Ron's face flushed, but he took a deep breath and said, "Professor McGonagall, I think Professor Callister's Elemental Magic is even more dangerous."
The moment the words left his mouth, Harry, Hermione, and Draco began murmuring among themselves.
"Elemental magic does seem stronger and more dangerous."
"When does Professor Callister's class start? He's so cool! I can't wait to see him."
"Elemental magic has such destructive power!"
"I'm really looking forward to learning Elemental Magic. I hope it's not as boring as History of Magic."
…
Professor McGonagall furrowed her brow at the students' chatter, then adjusted her glasses. "Mr. Weasley, your perception is quite sharp. That is indeed a powerful and dangerous form of magic."
"Now, let's get back to Transfiguration."
Professor McGonagall hadn't yet taught Elemental Magic herself, so she wasn't about to discuss it in detail.
Shifting the focus back to the lesson, the students turned their attention back to Transfiguration. It was an engaging class. Professor McGonagall transformed a desk into a pig, then an eagle, and back again, leaving the students in awe.
Harry and the others were fascinated and eager to learn. However, it quickly became clear that Transfiguration was no easy task.
It required long hours of practice and wasn't just about waving a wand and saying a few words.
Among them, Hermione stood out as exceptional.
Where others failed, she succeeded. She transformed a matchstick into a needle and earned praise from Professor McGonagall.
Every Wednesday evening, the students learned to observe the stars with telescopes, studying the names of stars and the trajectories of planets.
They also attended Herbology lessons with a witch named Sprout, learning how to cultivate strange plants and fungi and understanding their uses.
Harry's least favorite subject was History of Magic. There was so much to remember, and he often found himself mixing things up.
One of the most anticipated subjects was Defense Against the Dark Arts. However, Professor Quirrell was nothing but a joke.
Everything about him—from his manner of speaking to the stories he told—seemed unbelievable, and no one took him seriously.
The professor for Charms was a short, surprisingly small wizard named Professor Flitwick.
In class, he had to stand on a pile of books just to be seen over the podium by his students.
Interestingly, in their first Charms lesson, Professor Flitwick seemed to have a special fear—or rather, excitement—toward Harry Potter. He even screamed in excitement before collapsing from an apparent heart attack.
Of course, he didn't die; he was simply overwhelmed with enthusiasm.
That evening, after school, Harry, Ron, and Hermione made their way to the Great Hall for dinner.
"Hey, that's Professor Callister!" Ron exclaimed when he saw the man sitting alone in a corner.
Harry quickly turned to look, just as excited.
"Maybe we can sit with him and ask him about Elemental Magic," Hermione said, admiring Callister as he elegantly enjoyed his steak.
"That's a great idea!" Harry grinned.
The three of them walked over to Callister, feeling a little nervous as they asked, "Professor Callister, may we sit with you?"
Callister looked up at them and smiled warmly. "Of course, no problem."
Hermione eagerly sat down and asked, "Professor Callister, what exactly is Elemental Magic? Is it easy to learn? What does it require? I've heard it's incredibly powerful."
"And also…"
Before Hermione could finish, she launched into a barrage of questions, her curiosity bubbling over.
Harry and Ron exchanged nervous glances as Hermione bombarded Callister with question after question, like a machine gun firing nonstop.
Callister smiled at Hermione's enthusiasm. "Hermione Granger, you're a bright girl, and your curiosity will serve you well. I see a lot of potential in you. You're going to be a powerful witch."
Hermione blushed at the compliment, her face turning red with excitement. "Really? Professor Callister?"
"Of course," he nodded, still smiling. "Although my class hasn't officially started yet, if you're interested, you can join me after dinner. I wouldn't mind giving you a special preview."
Hermione, Ron, and Harry immediately perked up at the offer.
"Of course, that sounds amazing!" Harry said excitedly.
Ron, equally thrilled, added, "Professor Callister, we're so looking forward to your Elemental Magic class!"
"Everyone's talking about it," Ron continued. "It's all anyone can think about. No one seems to care about their other classes anymore."
Callister smiled faintly. He had heard such remarks over the past week from various students, and even some professors had joked about it.
As for when his class would officially begin, that was still a question on everyone's minds.
Ignoring the usual rule about not wandering the castle at night, Harry, Ron, and Hermione couldn't help but be excited about Elemental Magic.
"The classroom for Elemental Magic is almost ready. I just need a couple more days. Perhaps the day after tomorrow we can begin."
"I hope you all have a good start."
Callister smiled at them warmly.
During this time, Callister hadn't been very busy. When he had free time, he enjoyed afternoon tea with Professor Dumbledore. He also discussed Animagus transformations with Professor McGonagall when she had a break.
What interested Callister the most, however, was discussing Potion-making with Professor Snape.
And of course, he kept an eye on his Elemental Magic classroom and his private little house.
Yes, at this point, Callister had moved into a small, exquisite house. The interior was both luxurious and impeccably clean.
