Harry Potter: Elemental Magic Changes the World

Chapter 16: Chapter 16

In the darkness, a shadow slowly emerged.

Under the light, the figure became visible.

Clad in a black robe and wearing a mask, it was impossible to discern their exact appearance.

"You seem to have been here for a long time. Is there something you need?"

When Callister helped Harry Potter and the others sense elemental magic, he had felt a magical fluctuation outside the house.

Soon after, he discreetly detected the presence of this individual.

But after Harry and the others left, this person didn't leave, which piqued Callister's interest.

Were they here for him?

"I've found something interesting!"

"The magic you just displayed—is that the elemental magic you spoke of?"

"From what I see, you must be quite powerful. Would you be interested in going somewhere with me?"

The hoarse voice, laced with a tone of dissatisfaction, caused Callister to furrow his brow slightly.

However, he understood the intent behind the words.

A smile tugged at the corner of Callister's lips as he said, "You seem very confident in yourself?"

The figure in black slowly responded, "I just wanted to see if the magic you created is as powerful as you say."

Callister smiled faintly and replied, "As you wish."

The black-robed figure turned and left swiftly, not using a broomstick.

Callister was momentarily surprised, but that was all.

With a breeze-enhanced magic spell, Callister moved as swiftly as the wind and caught up to the black-robed figure.

"Can you tell me who you are?"

"You don't look like someone from the school."

Callister flew within three meters of the black-robed figure and spoke.

The figure in black stared at Callister, their eyes hidden beneath the robe, filled with astonishment.

They could clearly sense the surge of magical power from Callister's body, and also noticed the wind swirling around him. However, they couldn't understand how Callister had achieved such speed.

Deep within the Forbidden Forest!

The black-robed figure stood under a large tree, looking across at Callister.

"Are you really curious about my identity?"

"Covering your face like that is what makes me curious," Callister chuckled.

"Then why don't you try for yourself and see if you can uncover my mask?" The figure in black raised their head, looking at Callister with a smile.

As they spoke, a hand suddenly shot out from beneath the robe, holding a wand. They pointed it at Callister and said, "Slumber!"

A beam of light shot out instantly. If it hit, Callister would fall unconscious.

However, just as the spell was about to strike Callister, a magical barrier silently rose about a meter in front of him, blocking the attack.

The black-robed figure was taken aback.

Though they knew such probing wouldn't harm Callister, they hadn't expected the attack to be so easily blocked.

A barrier that could stop magic wasn't unusual, but what was strange was that they hadn't seen how Callister had done it.

Callister looked at the figure in black and said with a smile, "You don't need to probe. You can go all out and see if you can break my magical barrier. If you can't, you won't be able to harm me."

"Shatter into pieces!" The black-robed figure, upon hearing this, responded by attacking again.

Another magic beam shot toward Callister and once again hit the magical barrier.

This time, the barrier easily blocked the attack.

Seeing this, the figure in black understood that Callister was far from ordinary.

At least, the barrier was extraordinary.

"What holy artifact do you have?" The hoarse voice sounded again, clearly tinged with excitement. Was it because they had spotted something on Callister?

Callister hadn't expected the figure to think he was using a holy artifact, so he laughed and said, "If you say so, then sure."

"Though, without this barrier, taking you down would be quite simple."

"However, I find you quite interesting."

"Killing you doesn't seem necessary."

"But, as punishment for your offense against me, I think I should leave something on you."

Callister looked at the figure in black, raised his wand, and said, "I curse your body, suffer the pain of splitting, Blood Curse!"

The black-robed figure felt the magic surge from Callister's wand, but to their surprise, they didn't see any light.

It felt like thunder without the rain.

However, just as the black-robed figure was bewildered, they suddenly began to tremble violently.

At the same time, light flickered beneath the black robe, resembling cracks in the form of flames.

Then came a muffled groan from the figure.

Callister smiled faintly, watching the scene unfold. "Good luck!"

He turned to leave, but paused for a moment and added, "I hope you can sleep well every night."

As Callister walked away, the black-robed figure shook violently before collapsing to their knees, clutching the ground in agony and letting out a piercing scream.

In an instant, the bats, centaurs, and the hidden Aragogs in the Forbidden Forest were drawn to the sound.

Outside the forest, Hagrid, the Keeper of Keys and Grounds, rushed out from his small hut, crossbow in hand, and looked toward the Forbidden Forest.

Hagrid then lit a lantern and headed toward the forest.

In the opposite direction, Callister silently returned to his private villa.

He already knew the identity of the figure.

Thus, Callister hadn't killed them.

Of course, with that person's level of power, he didn't find it worth killing them.

Perhaps someone with the battle prowess of Dumbledore would be more suitable for him.

And of course, during Voldemort's prime, he wouldn't mind playing with him either.

Now, what Callister was more excited about was the growth of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

After all, compared to this world, Harry and his friends were the true protagonists.

With that thought, a smile appeared on Callister's face.

Just as he was about to rest, he noticed a letter by his window, glowing faintly.

Curious, Callister took the envelope, and the light dissipated.

After opening it, he immediately knew who had visited.

The Head of Slytherin House, Severus Snape.

"Inviting me to join his Potions class tomorrow?"

Callister pondered for a moment, then smiled and erased the original writing on the paper, responding with a few words of his own.
