HI3: I Don't Want to Be a Valkyrie

Chapter 115: Chapter 23: Fighting for All That is Beautiful

The girl's voice failed to deter the goblins; if anything, it seemed to excite them more. One of them lunged at the elf girl, tearing at her clothes.

Realizing she was about to be violated by these cruel, cowardly, and treacherous creatures, the elf girl felt herself on the verge of collapse.

She wanted to resist, but her limbs were severely injured, leaving her utterly powerless. Just as despair overwhelmed her... she heard a swift "whoosh!" The goblin on top of her suddenly went limp, collapsing against her body.

As confusion clouded her mind, the elf girl saw an arrow protruding from the goblin's head—it had been shot through the skull.

Then, in rapid succession...

"Thwack! Thwack..."

Strange sounds echoed around them, and every goblin, along with the worgs, met a gruesome end, their heads bursting like flowers on the ground.

"Rozaliya, I think my aim is getting even better!"

An unfamiliar girl's voice rang out. In great pain, the elf girl strained to turn toward the source. Two demi-human girls appeared not far away, along with four others.

One of the girls held a peculiar object—a crossbow—and twirled it casually. The demise of the goblins must have been her doing!

And yet... the thought that she hadn't been subjected to the goblins' cruelty brought immense relief.

-

"Are you alright?!" Rozaliya approached the elven girl before her. Elfs... This was the first time Rozaliya had ever seen one.

Long blue hair, pointed ears, and a face of extraordinary beauty. But at the moment, she wasn't looking so good. Her clothes were torn, and both her hands and feet were severely injured.

These goblins were quite interesting. In other worlds, they could only serve as cannon fodder, bullying newcomers in the newbie village. Now, in this world, they were actually hunting elves.

"I'm fine, thank you so much!" The elven girl's eyes brimmed with tears as she uttered her thanks through sobs.

"Your wounds are very serious. You need immediate treatment. I'll do my best to help you endure it!" Seeing the girl's injuries, Rozaliya felt no inclination to leave her to die.

"Yes..." The elven girl thought Rozaliya would only provide basic first aid. Though it wouldn't be much help, it was still better than doing nothing.

However, Rozaliya's actions caught the elven girl off guard.

Before her eyes, the pink-haired half-human girl forcefully yanked out the arrows and spears embedded in the elven girl's body. The pain was so great that the elven girl couldn't help but scream.

Immediately following this, Rozaliya produced a bottle containing a strange liquid. She applied it to the elf's wounds, then fed what remained directly into her mouth.

In less than ten seconds, the wounds on the elven girl's body had basically returned to normal.

"What kind of potion is this?! It... it's completely healed me! Is this the legendary elixir of life?"

The elven girl stood up, touched her restored wound, and hopped once, noticing that the pain had vanished entirely. If not for the torn clothes still covering her body, she would have thought it was all a illusion.

This potion was even more powerful than the life-giving spring water of the elf race!

The elven girl gazed at the small bottle in Rozaliya's hand, her eyes full of curiosity. It was a potion she had never heard of before.

"Are you talking about this?" Rozaliya asked, shaking the bottle in her hand.

"Yep, yep!" the elven girl nodded eagerly.

"This potion is called 'Slime Juice,' and it was invented by a slime Demon Lord," Rozaliya explained honestly.

"Slime? Demon Lord? How can a Demon Lord be such a weak creature like a slime?" Confusion clouded the elven girl's face. Are you pulling my leg?

"Alright, enough about that. You're an elf, aren't you? Why would an elf appear here?" Rozaliya looked at the elf standing before her. In this world, elves were very rare, living in secret forests and enjoying a utopian life free from worldly troubles.

Few elves ventured out of their secluded realms.

Rozaliya never expected to encounter an elf on her very first quest.

"Yes, I'm an elf, but also an adventurer," the elven maiden explained, glancing at the six girls around her. Since they were all female, she didn't mind her exposed state.

"An adventurer?"

"Mm-hmm. We came here because we accepted a mission. You probably know that, over a decade ago, a giant dragon lived in the heart of this demonic territory. A Hero once passed through, slaying the dragon but leaving its carcass behind.

For some reason, the area transformed into a necropolis. Many adventurer teams have tried their luck there, only to return empty-handed.

Our goal was simply to find the dragon's body, but..."

This must have been why Rozaliya saved her. The elven maiden shared her entire journey without reservation.

The adventurer squad she belonged to was a diverse group, comprised of eight members from various races.

Upon reaching the necropolis, they discovered it overrun with skeletons and eerie ghosts. Unable to delve deeper, they had no choice but to retreat in defeat.

As they retreated, they unexpectedly encountered a goblin tribe in the woods. Little did they know these goblins had set numerous traps throughout the area, ensnaring several individuals who plummeted directly into them.

Within the goblin tribe were three trolls. The squad of elf girls... who had narrowly avoided sacrifice elsewhere, now perished entirely at the goblins' hands. Only the single elf managed to escape under the cover of her fallen teammates.

Even then, if Rozaliya and her companions hadn't rescued her promptly, the outcome would likely have been the same...

"These goblins are truly treacherous..." Cellinia, standing beside Liliya, couldn't help but sigh at the news.

"They seem as devious as seasoned hunters... Lady Rozaliya, Lady Liliya, should we eliminate them?" The village near the demihuman borderlands was very close. Leaving these sinister and cunning goblins alive would be nothing short of a disaster.

Savage gripped her weapon tightly. With her slightly irritable temperament, she couldn't tolerate such lurking dangers.
