Hokage: I Am an Uchiha with the Power to Extract Entries

Chapter 26: The Red Sand Scorpion’s Decision

Uchiha Yuma had been fighting against Scorpion for a long time. The battle had been intense, and Yuma felt tremendous pressure.

Scorpion's fighting style relied on puppet traps and poison. While that was typical of puppet masters, including legends like Chiyo and Monzaemon, facing Scorpion—acknowledged as the strongest puppet master in history—was a completely different experience.

Only now did Yuma understand how terrifying Scorpion truly was, capable of controlling hundreds of puppets simultaneously.

These puppets, manipulated by Scorpion's Red Secret Technique, were incredibly agile. The sheer number of them, coupled with countless hidden weapons and blades, made the battlefield overwhelmingly dangerous. Yuma was forced to heighten his focus to 120%, relying on the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport around the battlefield and evade the relentless attacks.

A Battle of Techniques

While Yuma felt the pressure mounting, Scorpion was equally frustrated.

Scorpion had deployed his Red Secret Technique with over 300 puppets. He had used these puppets to devastate entire nations in the past, and taking down a single Elite Jōnin should have been effortless.

To Scorpion, Yuma was nothing more than a ninja of Elite Jōnin caliber—not yet a shadow-level threat. Yet this "mere" opponent had proven unbelievably elusive, using a troublesome time-space Ninjutsu that made Scorpion's efforts seem futile.

Every time Scorpion thought he had Yuma cornered, the young Uchiha would throw a kunai, teleport, and escape the trap entirely. Scorpion's carefully laid plans were rendered meaningless.

"No matter how many puppets I send after him, this kid just flicks his kunai and disappears! How can there be such an infuriating Ninjutsu in this world?" Scorpion thought, clenching his fists in frustration.

Despite his attempts to restrict Yuma's teleportation by targeting his kunai, he found that the Uchiha's throwing technique was on another level. The kunai darted seamlessly through his army of puppets, creating an opening for teleportation every time.

This combination of the Flying Thunder God Technique and precise kunai throws allowed Yuma to remain untouchable while striking at Scorpion with pinpoint accuracy.

Psychological Warfare

Dodging another wave of puppet attacks, Yuma smirked and taunted Scorpion.

"What's wrong? Feeling incompetent already? Don't tell me you're losing your cool!" Yuma's words were sharp, aimed at throwing Scorpion off his game.

Scorpion glared at him, his expression dark. "You're just a rat running away from my attacks, and now you're acting smug?!"

His words were laced with malice as he prepared another attack.

The Signal to Retreat

Just then, a flare lit up in the distance—a signal Yuma immediately recognized. The mission had been accomplished, and it was time to retreat.

Yuma's lips curled into a confident smile. "Looks like this fight is wrapping up."

Scorpion, hearing Yuma's murmur, scowled. "So Konoha succeeded in infiltrating the Land of Wind's capital… This is another disgrace for the Third Kazekage!"

While Scorpion resented the Third Kazekage for his perceived incompetence during past conflicts with Konoha, Yuma wasted no time. He prepared to make his exit.

At that moment, Kakashi appeared in the distance, running toward him. "Yuma! It's time to retreat!" Kakashi shouted.

Seeing Kakashi and the overwhelming number of puppets still in play, Yuma nodded in understanding. "Got it!"

Scorpion, recognizing Kakashi as the son of Konoha's legendary White Fang, felt a surge of hatred. He couldn't allow both of them to escape.

"You're not getting away! Accept your fate!" Scorpion roared, commanding his puppets to launch an all-out attack. Poisonous needles, wind blades, and flames surged toward Yuma and Kakashi.

The Great Escape

However, Scorpion's confidence was shattered when Yuma used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport himself and Kakashi out of danger.

The battlefield was left empty as the smoke cleared, with no sign of the two Konoha ninja. Scorpion's frustration boiled over.

"They can teleport others with that technique? Damn it!"

His anger was palpable as he realized his revenge against Konoha's White Fang would have to wait.

A New Resolve

Scorpion turned his gaze toward the battle between the Third Kazekage and another enemy in the distance. The iron sand flying through the air painted a chaotic scene.

Clenching his fists, Scorpion muttered bitterly, "This is all because of your negligence, Third Kazekage. My parents' deaths… this failure… it's all your fault."

Making a silent decision, Scorpion withdrew his puppets and headed toward the battlefield, his expression grim and determined.
