Chapter 43: Resolution II
(Drakken's POV)
"Well done, dear." I said to Mya as I walked up to the carriage that had the wrapped pieces of dragon, "Was it difficult?"
She was standing next to it, holding a black colored knife, "No....." she said, "It wasn't hard to sneak past the dragonkeepers and the Dragon was sleeping. It did take me a long time to start...that was Balerion, the Black Dread. The symbol of Targaryen power."
I placed my hand on the wrapped pieces, "Heh." I said, "Is that what he is? To me, he's an overgrown winged lizard."
"H-He was the Conqueror's dragon!" Mya told me, "He used it to conquer all of Westeros!!"
"Is that so?" I said with a chuckle, "He must have been terrifying in his prime. Right now he's just an old man that let a little girl like you to mutilate him."
"It was mostly this knife." Mya said
I looked at her, "Right." I said as I extended my hand, "Give it back."
"C-Can I keep it? As a reward?" She asked
I shook my head, "No." I said, "Now hand it over."
She walked up to me and placed it on my hand, "Alright."
"Good girl." I patted her cheek, "Your reward is your freedom. You are free to go. I do not think I have a use for you."
She frowned, "But I could be useful....."
"Hm." I said, "Something is wrong with your mind."
"I want to be with you, at your side, My Lord." She said with a serious face
"What is your religion?" I asked her
"Hm?" She said
"What god do you worship?" I said
"House Blackwood worship the Old Gods." She said
"Denounce them." I said, "Recognize me as your god, the God of War and Death. And I'll keep you at my side."
She looked at me with surprise, "Is that.....all?"
I nodded, "I've been using you this entire time." I said truthfully, "But if you become my first true worshipper in these lands, then perhaps I will keep you along and give you plenty of blessings."
"What kind of...what kind of blessings?" She asked
"You've been eyeing the Beast for a while, haven't you?" I said as I gave her a smile, "Do you wish to have a taste of its power? Prove yourself to me and perhaps that would happen. But...your blood, the blood of a Greenseer has its uses in the long run. As my first true worshipper, You might be able to gather more followers to the cause."
"We will worship a God of War...and Death....?" She said
"The War part might be barren." I said, "I promised a few years of peace, but the Death part is something else. It is mostly about Power. Worship me and you will not die of old age, that much is a promise. But then again, you need to prove yourself to me."
"This entire time, I was just a hostage to you...to be used by you...." She said softly, "And now.....I can make a choice....to follow you...."
I nodded, "Precisely."
She nodded and grabbed my hand, "I'll do it." She said, "My life is yours, Lord Drakken....my one true god...."
"Is that so?" I said with a smile
"I will do anything to prove my worth to you." She said with a strong tone of conviction, "Please, do not forsake me."
"I see...." I said, "And what does my follower wish for."
She looked down and blushed slightly, "I wish for you..." she said
"To bed with a god?" I asked with a chuckle and turned around, "That will not be easy.....you need to prove yourself to me, like I have said. You will have immortality and.....well, Me. Should you be lucky after all."
"Do not disappoint me."

[Near The Tower, The Riverlands]
(Third Person POV)
"Lord Tytos Blackwood had told us that there are riches near the Tower." a man said as he and a few others walked under the shadows of the trees, "And right now, the one who lives in it is gone. He's at King's Landing from what we know."
"Lord Tully had sent men to detain this person but all of them died and apparently, he was paid a visit." The man next to him said, holding an axe, "I don't know about any of this."
"We go in, get the gold or whatever it is, then we get out." The man said, "It's that simple."
"Thievery, that's what we've gotten ourselves in?" another said, "When the Brackens were obliterated by this person, that should have told us enough about-"
They all stopped to see a large tree that collapsed on the ground like it was snapped in half.
"What the hell?" the first of the men said, walking up to the tree, "What happened here?"
Upon further inspection, the man noticed there were massive bite marks on the trunk of the large tree. They looked to be nearly a foot deep and were imposing, sending a chill down the man's spine. Something was large enough to bite into the tree and strong enough to snap it in half.
"What kind of beast did this?" another man asked, "A dragon? Vhagar?"
"You fool." the other said, "We would have noticed Vhagar. And last I checked, Prince Baelon was still in the capital."
They then heard a loud thud behind them, in the shadows.
"What?!" one of them jumped up in surprise, "Who's there?!"
They turned around to see a massive shadow behind some trees, two large and fierce red eyes were staring right at them. The eyes were glowing with an unnatural light, piercing right through the men as the shadow stood completely still, not moving a single inch.
The men began to tremble in their feet, their eyes wide open with fear and shock.
"What is that thing?!" one of them whimpered
The shadow took a single step forward as a deep and bone-chilling growl was heard, reverberating through their bones.
"M-Monster!!!" a man shouted before the shadow pounced through the trees with a vicious snarl,
"Aghhhh!!!!"

[King's Landing, A Couple of Weeks Later]
Prince Aemon walked inside the room where Jaehaerys was sitting down, waiting for him.
"Father." He said, "You called for me?"
Jaehaerys nodded and stood up, "Yes." He said, "Aemon, listen. I wish to discuss something with you."
"What is it?" Aemon asked
"I have become aware of the feelings you have developed for my decision." Jaehaerys said, "Promising your sister to that man."
"My sisters are not prizes that should be won in any fight." Aemon said with a serious tone
"Daughters are more valuable than gold." Jaehaerys said, "As much as I hate it, that is the truth, the mentality most men in this world have."
"I don't agree with it." Aemon said
"Besides the fact that I am the King and my decision is final, there is no other choice." Jaehaerys said, "Think of the bloodshed that was avoided, the death, the ruin that was avoided by pleasing that man."
"There should be another way, Father, you know this." Aemon said sternly, "I cannot stand by and watch my sister just be handed off like some sort of object!"
"Four years." Jaehaerys said, "A lot can happen in four years. But.....to avoid his ire, we must keep Maegelle protected."
"So you're giving him Maegelle?" Aemon said with a frown, "Father.....she was promised to the Faith, already. What happened to that not wavering? Our Faith."
"Keeping her in the Faith will prevent her from being despoiled." Jaehaerys said, "She will be ten and six when he returns to collect. But something tells me he only wants her for her blood. He'll drain her just like he did to you all. I have reason to believe his intentions aren't sexual or anything of the matter. He believes to be above us, he sees us as nothing but animals, cattle.....if he were to stoop so low and bed one of us, then he'll be as low as we are, allegedly."
"So..." Aemon said, "This....why even go through with this..."
"To protect the Realm." Jaehaerys said, "That is the only reason I need."
"For the sake of the realm."
