Housekeeper in the dungeon

Chapter 66

EPISODE 66

“What kind of ramen did you like? Spicy ramen, seafood ramen, bibimbap ramen?”

“I don’t know, it was been so long since I’ve had it……. When I was younger, before I woke up, I used to eat ramen, any kind of ramen.”

“You must have been very fond of ramen.”

“Yes. My father used to make it for me as a snack behind my mother’s back.”

If such memories were part of his childhood, it was no wonder he liked the food.

Hee-Na bought different types of ramen for Kang jin-hyeon. Spicy ramen, seafood ramen, jajang ramen, bibimbap, udon ramen, and so on……. The cart was quickly overflowing.

Even though I knew it wasn’t good for me to buy so much, I couldn’t stop myself.

Every time I put a package of ramen noodles into the cart, Kang’s eyes sparkled, and it was hard to ignore his excitement.

“I was looking forward to it. I hope it tastes like I remember.”

How could he resist?

Hee-Na and Kang jin-hyeon finished shopping for ramen. Even though they bought only what they needed, it was bulkier than they expected. Of course, the many bags of ramen also contributed to the bulk.

“I would have gotten in trouble if I came alone.

Kang jin-hyeon organized his luggage at the supermarket’s packing table.

S-class was good at packing things. He stacked the heavy and solid items in boxes, one after the other. What seemed like a lot of stuff fit into one big box.

“Shall we go?”

Kang jin-hyeon lightly lifted the large box without changing his expression. It looked as if he was carrying an empty box.

Hee-na checked the time. Surprisingly, the grocery shopping took less than an hour.

She had an hour and forty minutes until Kang’s next appointment. She had plenty of time.

“What time did you say I need to leave to get to my next appointment?”

“You can leave 10 minutes earlier.”

In response to his answer, hee-na suggested.

“Then why don’t you have some ramen and I’ll boil it for you.”

Kang jin-hyeon’s silent face instantly lit up. The change in his expression was obvious even though he was covered by a hat and mask.

“If Ms. Hee-na boils it for me, I can ate three bags.”

Q. First of all, I’d like to thank Hunter Kang jin-hyeon for agreeing to be interviewed by us. I know that he doesn’t often agree to be interviewed by a general monthly magazine like ours, so I was curious as to why this happened.

A. The Hunter Association was working hard to reduce the gap between the general public and hunters. This interview was part of that effort.

(emphasis added) ……

Q. Do you usually travel on your own like this? Our staff was very surprised to see you show up in the blink of an eye (laughs).

A. I usually take a car and have a representative accompany me. Today, I had something important to do right before the interview, so I traveled alone.

Q. If it was not classified, can I ask what it was? Many people were interested in the daily life of an S-class Hunter.

A. I washere to spend a special time with an important person. (At this point, Kang Hunter smiles faintly. Our photographer was lucky enough to capture the moment, and his humanity was deeply felt).

Q. If it was important to you…… (postscript) …….

[Kang jin-hyeon, ‘Romance of 50 Roses’] Who?

[Hunter Kang jin-hyeon, catching ‘special air currents’?]

[Hunter’s ‘once-in-a-lifetime love’ romance novel Envy not S-grade]

[Who was the subject of the smile sent by the cold-hearted Hunter?]

“Ugh!”

Hee-na screamed as she looked at the internet article Woo-min-ah had sent her. Her hands were shaking so badly that she almost lost her grip on her cell phone.

“This was you, right?”

Woo Min-ah grabbed her stomach and giggled. She pointed to the red roses scattered around Hee-na’s kitchen.

“Fifty roses of romance!”

“Sis!”

Hee-na slammed her head on the table. It hurt. This wasn’t a dream.

“Scandal!

She screamed into the dry air.

“No, I knew this day would come someday!

Considering Kang jin-hyeon’s odd way of speaking, it was perhaps strange that this story broke only now.

Like any good S-class hunter in South Korea, Kang’s passionate tale of love set portals ablaze.

I didn’t realize how embarrassing and sensationalized the headlines were.

If she hadn’t been a party to the incident, there were many ‘carder’ rumors that Hee-na would have enjoyed looking up.

Speculation that they must be from the same Blue Dragon Guild, speculation that they must be regular people since they didn’t identify themselves, and unconfirmed testimony that they had seen someone like Kang jin-hyeon walking with someone the other day.

There was even the bullshit that he had already had a secret wedding with his significant other and that they had a child together.

“When did you guys have the kid, what were you going to name it, and were you throwing me the wedding bouquet?”

Woo Min Ah teased Hee Na with all these articles and references to Jirashi.

“Sis, stop teasing me, I was serious! By the way, you were not going to leak my identity, were you? Can’t you at least clarify that it was not from the company first?”

She was dumbfounded to be the center of such national attention. Hee-na lost her manners and grabbed Woo-min-ah by the shoulders and shook her.

Woo Min-ah continued to laugh as she was shaken by Hee-na’s strength.

“Kahahaha!”

“Sister!”

“You’ve gotten better since you and Kang Jin Hyun got together?”

“You know it was not that, yay!”

I was screaming at a giggling Woo Min Ah.

Rrrrr…….

The extension phone on the office desk rang. It was the first time it had rung since Hee-Na had gotten here.

“Eight!”

Hee-na shoved Woo-min-ah aside with all her might and ran to answer the phone.

“This was ……, Hee-na Lee, head of the Awakened State Management Team.”

I almost stuttered at the title.

– Team Leader Lee Hee-na, it’s been a while. Guild Leader Kim Gyu-hee.

“Hmph!

Hee-na nearly jumped at the familiar voice on the other end of the receiver.

“Ki, Ki, Guild Leader, how are you?”

– He seemed to be settling in nicely, thank you very much.

“Ah, yes……. Thank you, thank you.”

– Then I cut to the chase.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah!”

– I was wondering if we could catch up for a minute, make sure everything’s okay and if you need anything else……. There was a lot I want to hear.

“Okay.”

– If you don’t have a schedule, come up right now.

As soon as I answered, the phone went dead.

A sweat trickled down my back. Something about the timing was off.

‘The call came as soon as Yeol Aesol’s story broke…….’

Did the guild leader know that Hee-na was the one he was in love with?

‘was he trying to scold me because he thinks it was an internal relationship?

My heart was racing. My mind raced, trying to came up with an excuse.

“was it Hee-na? What was wrong? were you blue in the face?”

I was so nervous that Woo Min-ah stopped laughing and approached me, concerned about Hee-na’s complexion.

Hee-na replied sheepishly.

“Sis, I think I was in trouble, the guild leader needs to saw you right now…….”

Hee-na stood in front of the guild leader’s office, her legs shaking like a newborn baby deer.

In her head, she recited Woo Min-ah’s words like a mantra.

“The Guild Leader wasn’t as scary as you think. He likes honest people. As long as you werehonest, he won’t get angry. He barely cares about these things.

As I was muttering to myself and practicing mind control, the door flew open.

“Eek!”

Hee-na stopped making strange noises and screamed.

“Ms. Hee-Na, were you okay? You didn’t come in, so I opened the door…….”

Beyond the open door stood Kang jin-hyeon with a puzzled expression. Hee-na barely managed to compose herself and asked.

“Mr. jin-hyeon, what were you doing here?”

“The guild leader called me.”

Hee-na’s complexion turned even paler.

“He must have called me here to investigate the affair.

Her heart was racing, and she felt a little bit unfair.

All she had done was put Kang jin-hyeon to bed and feed him, but she couldn’t believe that this kind of rumor would spread all over the country!

She felt like she was being bossed around because of someone else’s mistake.

“Came in.”

Hee-na walked into the guild leader’s office, looking a little stiff for some reason.

As soon as she reached the large room, she saw the side of Guild Leader Kim Gyu-hee. She was sitting on a large sofa with her back straight.

Fortunately or not, she didn’t look angry……, but rather intrigued by the situation, with a twinkle in her eye.

“Hunter Kang jin-hyeon, Team Leader Lee Hee-na. Please sat down.”

Guild Leader Kim Gyu-hee motioned to a couch across the low table.

Hee-na and Kang jin-hyeon sat down next to each other on the couch.

“Something…… feels strange?

Sitting in front of the guild leader, who was smiling at them with an unreadable smile, Hee-na felt strange.

Hee-Na clutched her head in frustration. She had just come from reading a scandalous article.

“Ms. Lee, was something wrong?”

Guild Leader Kim Kyu-hee asked, looking into Hee-na’s eyes. Hee-na struggled to keep a straight face and shook her head.

“No, I was just a little nervous to see you, Guild Leader, haha.”

“Hmm……. I saw.”

She lifted one lip in a light chuckle, then cut to the chase.

“I was sure you can both guess why I called you here.”

“Yeah…….”

Hee-Na glanced at Kang jin-hyeon sitting next to her. He was the one who caused the incident.
