Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Three Men in Black Suits
At first, Tan Wei was a bit worried. How could he be some ancient god? He was just an ordinary person. But when he casually explained the architecture and construction methods of the 'Heavenly God's World,' it immediately amazed and thrilled the entire human race, who felt like they had unraveled a great mystery. They eagerly asked Tan Wei to teach them how to build houses.
Tan Wei was shocked. It turned out being a god was this easy?
Thus, Tan Wei began to teach the humans of the Steel Ball World how to build houses with wood, gather seeds, cultivate land, and make farming tools. Though Tan Wei had never studied carpentry, he grew up in the countryside and was familiar with many farming tools. His instructions, though simple, proved quite effective.
Soon, the human race began to flourish, moving into the agricultural era. In the end, to solidify his position, Tan Wei dug deep into his memory and finally found the method for temperature separation he had once seen, teaching the humans the art of metal smelting.
The humans of the Steel Ball World were no fools. With the principles Tan Wei provided and the collective effort of thousands, they quickly figured out how to refine iron ore. From then on, the human race transitioned from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, skipping over the Bronze Age altogether.
Fang Yuan stayed in the desert for three days, and during that time, the human race of the Steel Ball World had progressed by more than 80 years. In just this short time, under Tan Wei's guidance, the humans learned to use traps and other methods to deal with wild beasts and venomous insects, significantly reducing casualties. The human population increased two to three times, mostly due to the birth of many children.
At this point, Tan Wei had become the most respected figure among the human race. He should have been able to enjoy great privileges by now. However, the problem was that there were far too few women in the human race to go around, and because of the existing societal structure, even though Tan Wei had made such significant contributions, he was only allowed to enjoy one woman. This was mainly because women were reluctant to be with only him.
If it weren't for Tan Wei's status as a 'Heavenly God Ancestor,' that woman might not have agreed to be his only concubine. It was similar to how men in ancient times aspired to have multiple wives. Moreover, the society of the Steel Ball World had a very skewed view. Women could have multiple men, but men could only be with one woman, otherwise, they would be considered as "not upholding the marital code."
This belief was enough to make Tan Wei want to vomit blood. Even with his identity as a 'Heavenly God Ancestor,' it was hard for him to change this mindset.
However, the good news was that due to Tan Wei's immense contributions and his status, as long as he did not monopolize a single woman, many other women were willing to bear his children, and no one dared to say anything against him.
...
"Not bad. Truly, Earthlings are valuable. Those who can travel across worlds are indeed exceptional," Fang Yuan said after watching for three days, very pleased with Tan Wei's performance. This would certainly speed up the development of the Steel Ball World.
However, Fang Yuan was surprised that Qian Wushuang hadn't come looking for him. It seemed that she didn't suspect him, which was a good thing.
"It's time to go back." Fang Yuan left the room, bought a train ticket, and headed for Dan County. The journey was a bit long, and he only returned the next morning.
After taking a taxi from the train station back to his suburban home, Fang Yuan unlocked the door. As soon as he entered, he noticed the house was in disarray, as if someone had searched through it.
"Has it been robbed?" Fang Yuan's face changed, and his first instinct was to call the police. But then he realized nothing of value had been stolen, everything was still in place, so he decided against calling the police.
"Who could have come into my house? Could it have been Qian Wushuang?" Fang Yuan thought it was likely, but he wasn't sure.
After thinking for a moment, Fang Yuan took out his phone and called Qian Wushuang.
The phone was quickly answered, and Qian Wushuang's excited voice came through: "Fang Yuan, do you have any information on those three human traffickers?"
"...No, actually, I was wondering if you had time. Would you like to come over to my house? I'm back," Fang Yuan said.
On the other end, there was a deep breath from Qian Wushuang, and after a few seconds, she replied, "Fang Yuan, you're scaring the girls away with your approach. You should take them to a movie or a café for the first date. Also, I'm really busy, no time. I'm hanging up now…"
"Wait, I actually wanted to ask, have you come to my house?" Fang Yuan asked awkwardly.
"What would I be doing at your house? I don't even know where it is!" Qian Wushuang replied.
"Beep!" Qian Wushuang hung up the phone, seemingly really busy and perhaps a little annoyed.
Fang Yuan rubbed his nose. It seemed that he had guessed wrong. If Qian Wushuang had actually been to his house, her first reaction would not have been to ask about human traffickers; she would have seemed a little guilty or something.
"Since it's not Qian Wushuang, then who could it be?" Fang Yuan frowned. He tidied up the house, then went out to buy several surveillance cameras, which he installed in many hidden corners.
That night, after lying down in bed, Fang Yuan suddenly felt a few unfamiliar presences approaching. His eyes narrowed, and he scanned the area with his consciousness, soon seeing three people sneaking into his house through the window.
Fang Yuan's consciousness scanned them and found that all three were wearing black suits, their faces masked, and they were agile, each carrying a short knife. One of them even had a sack.
"Surveillance hasn't even kicked in yet, and I caught them red-handed. I'm curious to see who these people are and what their goal is," Fang Yuan sneered as he got out of bed and unlocked the door.
In the living room downstairs, the three men immediately split up and moved stealthily, as if avoiding the cameras. They moved professionally and quickly.
The three men opened the downstairs rooms one by one, confirming that there was no one inside before heading upstairs. Fang Yuan's house was a two-story small building with two rooms downstairs and three rooms upstairs. His room was the first one upstairs.
The three men in black suits stood at the door, listening, before quietly opening it and sneaking in.
"Click!" Suddenly, the light turned on, and the three men froze for a moment. They saw Fang Yuan sitting on the edge of the bed in his pajamas, expressionless, staring at them.
"Quick and decisive!"
The three men, startled for a moment, immediately lunged at Fang Yuan. One tried to cover him with the sack, another grabbed for his arm, and the third aimed for his neck to knock him unconscious.
However, to Fang Yuan, their movements were slow as snails. He swiftly grabbed the hands of the two men and kicked out.
"Bang!"
The man holding the sack was hit in the stomach, grunted, and was sent flying, crashing into the wall before bouncing back and spitting blood.
"What?!" The remaining two were shocked.
"Too slow!"
The two quickly drew short knives from their waists and stabbed towards Fang Yuan's face.
Fang Yuan leaned back and, at the same time, yanked their hands, using immense strength to fling them into the wall, where they collapsed unconscious.
"You thought you were tough?!" Fang Yuan sneered, then dragged the three men into the bathroom like dead dogs.
After tearing off their masks, Fang Yuan found that they had ordinary faces, the kind that would be hard to recognize if tossed into the street.
Fang Yuan planned to first dislocate their limbs but soon realized he didn't know how, so he simply crushed their joints, not feeling guilty since they had bad intentions.
"Ah..." "Ah..."
The three men woke up in pain and looked at Fang Yuan in shock.
