I Am Extraordinary Alone

Chapter 15: Chapter 14 Heavenly Falling Objects: 091

Even though his fists weighed several tons, they seemed somewhat insignificant against the steel column.

However, the black corrosion effect still occurred, with fist-sized black spots appearing on the surface of the steel.

These spots slowly spread out like ink dissolved by water, black lines extending outward, forming a web-like structure.

The steel column groaned in front of him, but it was still not enough...

The four helicopters had transformed from tiny black dots into vaguely discernible miniatures, and the sound of the rotors spinning buzzed by his ears like pesky flies.

He quickened his punching pace, and the black spots grew more numerous and deeper.

Wei Tianyang had also tried to punch the steel column with his left fist, but found that it showed no signs of superpower; the ability to erode everything and the sheer force of several tons were only triggered by his right fist.

Under his relentless effort, the steel column in front of Wei Tianyang finally started to wobble, the corrosive punch marks connecting with one another, becoming deeper and larger, eroding a huge gash in the thick-as-a-building steel column.

He could do it!

The base of the steel column looked as if a giant beast had gnawed it, two-thirds gone, leaving the rest incapable of bearing weight, crushed by its own mass.

The sound of bending metal was piercing, and in the middle of the steel column, one of the chains binding the iron ball also snapped.

Yet, one steel column was not enough to make the iron ball plummet or to collapse the platform overhead.

Wei Tianyang ran towards the steel column wrapped in chains, hoping to mimic his previous action.

Ruan Yu noticed his intention and grabbed a guard next to her, yelling, "Shoot! Are you just going to watch him destroy the company's property?!"

The guards hastily congregated near the circular hole, raising their assault rifles to fire downward.

But because the structure between the helipad and the base was too complicated, and Wei Tianyang used the steel columns as cover, the bullets couldn't scratch him at all.

Another steel column collapsed under his fists, the base of this column completely annihilated, hanging in the air only by the connections to the platform. The chains pulling the massive iron ball also snapped due to uneven stress.

With two steel columns gone, the platform had begun to tilt ever so slightly.

The three heavy transport helicopters had closed in on the platform, with dual rotors whipping up a strong wind, Ruan Yu's hair chaotically dancing about.

Not bothering to tidy her messy hair, her emotions were a mix of anger and surprise.

Previously, she hadn't taken Wei Tianyang seriously, but now, the power he had shown had made her sit up and take notice.

Wei Tianyang was a threat, but he also proved the potential of 091.

It should be noted that the steel columns used for the platform had a diameter of 32 meters, yet Wei Tianyang had broken two in just two minutes.

The speed of annihilation was much faster than a year ago.

"Even now! There's still a chance for you to reconsider!" Ruan Yu screamed frenziedly from above.

But she knew all too well that Wei Tianyang couldn't hear her.

"Hurry up! What are you standing around for? Why aren't the helicopters moving in? Take 091 away, quickly!" she turned around and pushed Hans.

Hans adjusted his glasses, just about to command the helicopters when he suddenly felt the ground sink beneath him, followed by the entire surface tilting at a 25-degree angle.

Ruan Yu stumbled, almost falling over, but thankfully, Hans was there to support her. At this moment, she finally realized the severity of the problem.

Wei Tianyang had already destroyed four steel columns, and numerous frayed chains had lost their anchor points. They whipped around like steel whips under tension, the thunderous noise of cleaving through the air causing one's heart to palpitate.

The iron sphere, fixed in the central airspace, had also lost its balance and suddenly plummeted more than ten meters. Then, it was caught by several other chains and swung toward a steel column to one side.

The iron sphere shattered the glass houses hanging nearby, and the violent shaking caused several glass houses at the far end to lose their securing ropes, falling down swiftly.

Wei Tianyang hid behind a steel column, with the violent impacts ceaselessly assailing the ears. The glass houses fell as if they were fish tanks hitting the ground.

Disregarding the danger, Ruan Yu clambered to the edge of the round hole and looked down. The iron sphere was about to fall, with twelve chains pulling on the left side of the sphere, and only one chain desperately supporting the right.

At that moment, the helicopter, under Hans's command, flew above the rooftop. From the side door of the cargo bay, one winch after another extended, slowly lowering a high-tensile rope.

"Quick! Hang it up," Hans shouted.

Two guards grabbed the rope, leapt above the round hole, and descended slowly toward the iron sphere.

"Cover with gunfire!" Ruan Yu urged.

Other guards spread around the perimeter of the hole, firing precisely at Wei Tianyang, forcing him to stay hidden behind the column without a chance to peek out.

"They're taking that thing! One-two-oh-two! Step three of seizing freedom! Fall into hell!!!" The brawny man pointed at the iron sphere and yelled.

Wei Tianyang said, "We're already in hell! Let's go to its deepest layer!"

With that, he braved the hail of bullets and charged toward the last remaining chain keeping the iron sphere balanced at its steel column.

His rage fueled his fists to pummel the column continuously, as if they were bullets that would never run out.

Before the column could erode to annihilation, the chain reached its tension limit and snapped with a loud crack.

The upper half of the chain lashed onto the iron sphere's surface, leaving a black swipe mark. It also caused the sphere to rotate and crash into the side steel column with relentless abandon.

One guard on the iron sphere didn't react in time, stepped into nothingness, and fell without any defense.

He screamed in mid-air and 6 seconds later, he smashed onto the concrete base. However, the noise of the sphere's impact was louder, making his death seem almost insignificant, barely noticed.

The iron sphere rebounded off one steel column and, shifting its path, slammed into another.

It oscillated among several columns, the remaining twelve chains emitting pained groans.

The transport rope attached to the top of the sphere pulled the heavy helicopter, causing it to sway erratically in the air.

After a struggle, the helicopter's left propeller blade was the first to touch the rooftop, dragging out fatal sparks on the steel surface. The broken blade, like a flying sword, shot toward the people on the platform.

"F*ck! Run! Run!" Hans was frightened into shouting his mother tongue by what he saw.

Ruan Yu, still not giving up, remained at the edge of the hole, looking down.

"It's time to go, ma'am!" A surviving guard next to her grabbed her, retreating toward the spare helipad.

"This isn't how it should be! No!! This is all my hard work!" Ruan Yu roared.

At this time, the iron sphere finally stopped, sticking to one of the steel columns, the base of which had already been eroded.

In the blink of an eye, the steel column itself could no longer bear the strain. Dragging the platform down with it, it leaned over, crashing into the other steel columns with the iron sphere.
