"Hiss, come to think of it, it seems unnecessary for Coulson to remind me. Forget it, let's just treat it as a reminder for them."
After Jaxon dropped Pepper off at the company, he set out to find Jane Foster.
Dr. Eric Selvig, though not a university lecturer, is an expert in astronomy who occasionally gives lectures to earn money for his research.
This time, he was invited by the university to give a talk.
After the lecture, Jaxon took the opportunity to find Jane Foster and strike up a conversation about astronomy.
Jane Foster, as Dr. Selvig's assistant, is also quite talented in the field of astronomy.
Initially, she assumed Jaxon was just another student or perhaps someone trying to chat her up.
But after a brief exchange, she discovered that Jaxon had indeed read numerous books on astronomy.
Not only that, he also had some unique insights.
In an instant, Jane Foster's opinion of Jaxon changed.
However, due to time constraints, Jane had to follow Dr. Selvig to the south.
The doctor had recently noted some interesting observations from the south and, after wrapping up this lecture, planned to drive his RV down there.
"It was nice discussing astronomy with you, but we're heading south soon."
"According to predictions, a rare astronomical phenomenon might be observable in the coming month."
"We don't want to miss this opportunity."
Jaxon watched as the three of them prepared to drive off in the RV and asked, "Why don't you just fly?"
Jane Foster smiled, "Oh, we're used to traveling and observing along the way."
Jaxon nodded, admiringly, "No wonder you have such profound knowledge."
Darcy Lewis, who had been eyeing Jaxon for some time as she found his really handsome, couldn't help but comment, "It's actually because we're broke."
Jane blushed, as that was indeed true.
Lectures don't pay well, and for someone dedicated to research like Dr. Selvig, making discoveries mattered more than income.
So, the three of them were often short on funds.
Jaxon chuckled but said nothing.
Jane brushed her hair back, "You know, it's hard to turn this kind of research into profit."
Jaxon nodded in agreement, "Absolutely. Your work deserves respect."
"I'd like to join you on this journey, if that's all right?"
Jane hesitated, "Well, I'm afraid our RV is a bit cramped."
"I could follow along in a separate car, or even buy an RV. Are you in a rush to leave?"
"Not too rushed. We'll likely leave tomorrow."
At this, Darcy pulled Jane aside for a private chat.
"Jane, I think you'd be crazy to pass this up."
"What do you mean?"
Darcy glanced at Jaxon, "He's clearly interested in you. Can't you see that?"
"And he's into astronomy, too! Handsome and knowledgeable. You don't find that every day."
Jane looked unsure, "But we've only just met."
"All the more reason to bring him along. You'll have time to get to know him."
"If you don't want him, I'd be happy to take him."
Jaxon, with his enhanced hearing, couldn't help but overhear and smirked at Darcy's excellent wingman skills.
'Darcy, I'm impressed with your initiative. Not only is she charming, but she also acts as a matchmaker. When the time comes, I'll make sure to reward her.' Jaxon thought.
After Darcy's encouragement, Jane returned to Jaxon with a smile, "Just be prepared; this journey might be rough."
"No problem. I'm sure the experiences along the way will be worth it."
They exchanged contact information and planned to meet up tomorrow.
As Jane left, Jaxon watched her go, admiring her beautiful face.
He'd already made up his mind—Jane would not meet a tragic fate.
In the comics, Jane Foster eventually becomes the Mighty Thor, a storyline that had resonated deeply with him.
But the movies, in his opinion, failed to capture her true character.
"Jane, I won't let anything bad happen to you."
Jaxon decided that he would use his last vial of life essence to protect her, if necessary.
After saying goodbye to the group, Jaxon quickly began his preparations.
He bought an RV, a tent, and other supplies.
By the end of the day, Jaxon had nearly everything ready.
He planned to purchase any additional items on the way, as they'd likely be stopping in towns here and there.
That evening, Jaxon informed his contacts that he'd be away traveling for a bit.
The next day, he drove his RV to the agreed meeting spot.
Dr. Selvig seemed a bit cautious when he saw Jaxon.
This young man was too handsome, and it was clear he might have an ulterior motive.
Still, Dr. Selvig trusted Jane's judgment.
Some of the ideas Jaxon shared had actually inspired both Jane and Dr. Selvig.
"Hello, Dr. Selvig, I'm Jaxon. You can call me Jaxon or Mr. J."
Darcy, excited, greeted him eagerly, "Hi, Jaxon!"
"Hey, Darcy."
Jane appeared from the RV, wrapped in a blanket.
She looked a bit drowsy, her hair slightly tousled.
"Jaxon!"
Darcy quickly explained, "Jane was up all night studying, she lost track of time."
Jaxon smiled, "I can tell."
He turned to Jane, "If you'd like, you're welcome to rest in my RV."
Jane quickly shook her head, "No, I'll stay in our RV."
Jaxon turned to Darcy, "How about you? You could rest for a bit and later take over the driving from Dr. Selvig. It'd be safer that way."
"I'm fine. But, can I ride in the passenger seat?"
"Of course."
After a brief discussion, the group of four set off in two RVs.
The group set off towards New Mexico.
With Darcy in the passenger seat, she and Jaxon quickly grew more comfortable with each other.
Darcy, ever a fan of good looks, soon became an eager ally, giving Jaxon tips and encouragement.
Jaxon, charming and attentive, quickly won her over, making her even more fond of him.
After a full day of driving, they stopped by the roadside to rest.
Gathered around a campfire, they chatted about astronomy.
Although Jaxon's interest in the topic wasn't deep, both Dr. Selvig and Jane were passionate about it.
So Jaxon gladly joined in the conversation, engaging them on their favorite topics.
Meanwhile, Darcy mostly stayed quiet.
As night drew closer, it was time to rest.
"Jane, you and Darcy can take my RV. I'll sleep in the tent."
Jane hesitated, "Are you sure?"
"Dr. Selvig could use the RV's comfort."
Darcy chimed in, "Then we'll switch tomorrow, and Jaxon can take the RV."
Dr. Selvig joined in, "I'm okay with sharing the RV with Jaxon."
Jaxon smiled, "Thanks, but I prefer the tent."
He began setting up his tent, and Jane, feeling guilty, came over to help.
Darcy joined them, tactfully lending a hand.
After a bit of work, Jaxon settled into his tent.
With his current physical strength, he could go days without sleep if necessary.
He even had the option of teleporting home if he needed rest.
However, he stayed close, concerned for Jane and the others' safety.
This was just the start of their journey, and it would likely take another half month.
That would be more than enough time for Jaxon to win Jane over.
A few days passed, and they continued their journey.
Jane stayed up late each night to observe the stars.
Jaxon, ever the gentleman, stayed by her side.
"I'd love to take a closer look." He said, moving nearer to observe alongside her.
