Chapter 300: Don't You Just Want To See Me Make A Fool Of Yourself?
Suddenly, a shadow stretched across the ground, and Finn emerged from the shadow world, bringing Tsunade along with him.
He placed her in front of him and, with a faint smile, asked, "So, do you still think it's an illusion?"
Tsunade's eyes darted around. This was the exact spot where she and Finn had plunged into the shadow world moments ago.
This... this couldn't be!
Her hands instinctively touched the sore, swollen areas on her body—painful evidence of Finn's "lessons."
"It's... real?!" she muttered, the realization crashing over her.
Then anger flared. "You bastard! You knew it was real, and you still hit me so many times!"
Finn grinned, his expression smug. "Didn't I tell you? It's called 'a taste of the beatings of society.'"
"You—!" Tsunade clenched her fists, ready to unleash her fury, but the moment she moved, she winced in pain.
"Hiss—damn it..." she muttered under her breath, the aches from Finn's blows forcing her to pause.
Finn noticed her hesitation and stepped closer. "What's wrong?" he asked, feigning innocence.
"Don't come any closer!" Tsunade snapped, turning her back to him. Her hands shot up to her face as if to shield something.
Finn stopped in his tracks, raising an eyebrow. The sudden change in her demeanor piqued his curiosity.
Then it clicked.
"The Hundred Healings Mark..." Finn murmured to himself, recalling how Tsunade had used the technique earlier.
The mark's effects were temporary, allowing her to maintain a youthful appearance and enhanced abilities. But now, with the seal's duration nearing its end, Tsunade's true form—the one reflecting her actual age—was starting to resurface.
Realizing this, Finn's smirk deepened. "Ah, I see. You're hiding your face, aren't you?"
"Stop it! Don't come any closer!" Tsunade shouted again, her voice laced with panic.
Finn's curiosity only grew. Ignoring her protests, he summoned an ancient rifle from his shadow arsenal.
With a flick of his wrist, shadow energy infused the weapon. A single shot rang out—a bullet laced with temporal magic struck Tsunade.
She froze, expecting pain, but instead felt an odd warmth ripple through her body. The bullet didn't harm her. Instead, it rewound time, restoring her injuries and undoing the strain of the Hundred Healings Mark.
Tsunade turned, confused.
"Why... why would you—?"
Finn shrugged casually, dismissing her question as he walked toward her.
"Stop!" Tsunade yelled, backing away. "Why are you still coming closer?!"
Finn didn't stop this time. With a quick step, he appeared behind her as if teleporting.
His hand landed firmly on her shoulder. "What are you hiding, Tsunade? Could it be... you've turned into an old woman?"
Tsunade stiffened, her heart skipping a beat. "You—did you guess, or do you already know?!"
She tried to pull away, but Finn's grip was unyielding.
"Let go of me! If you already know, why humiliate me further?"
"Humiliate you?" Finn tilted his head. "What are you talking about? You're acting like it's some big deal."
Tsunade's frustration boiled over. "Don't pretend you don't know! You just want to see me embarrassed, don't you? Fine! You want to see it? Here—have a good look!"
She spun around, removing her hands from her face, her expression blazing with defiance.
"You wanted to see my ugly face, right? Well, take a good look!"
Finn stared at her, silent for a moment. Then, he smiled—not with mockery, but with genuine amusement.
"Ugly?" he said, leaning closer to inspect her face. "Where's the ugliness?"
His hand reached out, gently pinching her cheek. "If anything, it's still a beautiful face."
Tsunade froze, her defiance faltering. "Y-you... what?"
Finn reached into his inventory and pulled out a small mirror, holding it up to her. "Look for yourself."
Hesitant, Tsunade glanced at her reflection.
Her eyes widened.
"What...?" she whispered.
The face staring back at her wasn't aged or frail. It was still youthful, unmarred, and as radiant as ever.
Finn chuckled softly. "See? All that worrying for nothing. Now, are you done throwing a tantrum?"
Tsunade clenched her fists, her emotions a chaotic swirl of relief, embarrassment, and lingering frustration.
"You... you're impossible!" she huffed, turning away.
"And you're adorable when you're flustered," Finn replied with a grin, clearly enjoying her reaction.
