Chapter 301: Going To Get A Hokage Dangdang
Tsunade stared into the mirror, her reflection looking back at her with a youthful glow.
"This face...?" she muttered in disbelief.
Her fingers brushed her cheek lightly, as if trying to confirm it was truly her. The reflection mimicked her movement.
"It's... me?"
Her mind raced. The effect of the Hundred Healings Mark had expired. By all accounts, she should have returned to her natural, aged state.
What was happening?
Channeling her chakra, she scanned her body. The results left her stunned.
"What?! The Hundred Healings Mark... it's not active?"
Her brow furrowed as she tried to make sense of it. Moments ago, she had clearly felt the signs of aging setting in. It wasn't her imagination. She was certain her youthful facade had started to fade.
Yet now, her reflection showed no such thing.
A thought struck her. Her eyes darted toward Finn.
"It's you!" she accused, pointing a finger at him.
Finn feigned innocence, tilting his head with a smirk. "Me? All I did was save you from some embarrassment. You're welcome, by the way."
"You really did this!" Tsunade exclaimed, her voice a mix of anger and curiosity. "How did you do it?"
Finn shrugged nonchalantly, his grin widening. "I told you, I fixed it for you. No big deal."
Her mind replayed the events. She remembered the moment Finn had turned her around. At that precise instant, the aging signs had vanished.
Tsunade's gaze hardened. "What kind of ability is this?"
"You want a demonstration?" Finn replied, his tone playful.
Without waiting for her answer, he leapt into the air, plucking a bird mid-flight. Landing gracefully, he tossed the bird to the ground.
The small creature hit the earth with a dull thud, motionless.
"You!" Tsunade's outrage was immediate. "How dare you harm an innocent creature for no reason!"
Finn, unbothered by her outburst, summoned an ancient rifle. He aimed it at the bird and fired a shot.
A faint shimmer of energy enveloped the lifeless creature. Moments later, it stirred, flapping its wings before taking off into the sky as if nothing had happened.
Tsunade stood frozen, her eyes wide with disbelief. "What... what did you just do?"
Finn turned to her with a shrug. "The same thing I did to you."
Her mind reeled as she pieced it together. The rifle's ability—it rewound time for its target, restoring them to a previous state.
"So this... this is your bloodline ability?" Tsunade asked, awe and suspicion mingling in her voice.
Finn didn't answer directly. Instead, his expression shifted, a sly smile forming on his lips. "From now on, you're my servant," he declared.
Tsunade bristled. "Servant? You've got some nerve bringing that up again!"
Finn laughed, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Hey, hey, let's not forget—you agreed to the contract. And by the way, I'm stronger than you. You really think you can resist?"
Tsunade fumed, but she knew he wasn't wrong.
"Where are you taking me now?" she demanded as Finn grabbed her arm and started walking.
"Konoha Village," he replied simply.
Tsunade's heart skipped a beat. "Konoha? Why? What are you planning?"
Finn glanced back at her with a mischievous grin. "To collect what's owed to me. You paid off a little of your debt, but there's still a long way to go. My family isn't a charity, you know."
Tsunade glared at him. "I owe the money—not the village! What right do you have to go there?"
"Because Konoha's your home, your responsibility. If the 'eldest princess' of the village can't pay up, I'll have to talk to the people who can," Finn replied, his tone matter-of-fact.
Tsunade clenched her fists. "That's low, even for you!"
Finn shrugged, unbothered by her anger. "Oh, and there's one more thing I'm interested in," he added casually.
"What is it?" she asked warily.
Finn's grin turned devilish. "I'm thinking of becoming Hokage."
"What?!" Tsunade's voice rose in disbelief. "You? Hokage? That's absurd!"
"Why not?" Finn replied, his confidence unwavering. "I've already made significant contributions to the village. Saving it, for instance."
"That's not how it works!" Tsunade shot back. "Hokage isn't just a title you can take. It requires trust, respect, and a lifetime of service to the village!"
"And yet," Finn countered, stepping closer, "if I've done more for the village than anyone else, doesn't that make me the most qualified?"
Tsunade stared at him, her anger clashing with a flicker of doubt.
This man... was he serious? Or just toying with her?
One thing was certain—Finn was unlike anyone she had ever encountered.
