I Just Want A Single Ending!

Chapter 171: I Just Want a Single Ending [171]

Carrying the clothes Ikuyo Kita picked out, Saku Kamigawa stepped into the fitting room and started changing.

Once he was ready, he took a quick glance in the mirror to see how he looked.

Light brown utility jacket over a white T-shirt, paired with loose-fit jeans.

Not bad. No matter what I wear, I look good!

After indulging in a bit of self-admiration, he stepped out of the fitting room.

"So, how do I look?"

Saku turned to Ikuyo, who was waiting eagerly outside.

"Really handsome!"

Ikuyo's eyes lit up, and she quickly raised her phone to snap some photos.

She already had a theme in mind: "Making My Boyfriend Try On Clothes I Picked."

"Is that so?"

The compliment brought a small grin to Saku's face.

After all, everyone likes to be complimented.

"Strike a pose!"

"Now, turn a bit this way!"

"Okay, try facing the other way!"

Ikuyo started directing him enthusiastically, and Saku complied with each request.

"Alright, I think I've taken enough of this outfit."

Satisfied with the photos, Ikuyo began scrolling through the shots she'd just taken.

"Wait, what do you mean, 'of this outfit'?"

Just as he thought the photoshoot was over, her words caught him off guard.

"Oh, well, while you were changing, I picked out another outfit for you to try," Ikuyo admitted sheepishly. "Do you mind trying it on too?"

"...Fine."

After a moment of silence, Saku nodded.

Since he'd already agreed to this, he'd see it through to the end.

So, he took the next outfit and headed back into the fitting room.

Still look amazing!

After another self-assessment in the mirror, Saku stepped out once more.

And after another round of photos with Ikuyo, she was ready with yet another outfit for him.

By now, he realized what was happening.

She was having way too much fun dressing him up—she clearly had no intention of stopping anytime soon.

Still, even though he'd figured this out, he didn't object.

The reason was simple: right now, he was just changing into clothes she picked out, without any romantic gestures involved.

If she kept spending time on this, it would naturally cut into the time they'd have to do "couple" activities.

This meant he could avoid unnecessary dates and sappy photoshoots.

With this understanding, Saku relaxed into the experience.

As he changed into yet another outfit, he chuckled, "Take your time. No matter how many outfits you pick, I'll try on each one for you."

Yes, go ahead and waste all our time on this. There's no need to go on dates or take cheesy couple photos. These shots alone will be enough to convince people you have a boyfriend.

"Th-thanks…"

Ikuyo, who'd started feeling a little guilty about making him try so many outfits, was suddenly moved by his gentle reassurance.

Saku-senpai really is the best.

Since he'd said he didn't mind, she decided she could keep picking freely, as if she were really shopping with her boyfriend.

Naturally, their little fashion show attracted the attention of the store staff.

But none of them intervened.

For good reason—any clothes that Saku found appealing, he ended up buying.

They weren't just freeloading in the fitting room; he was actually spending money.

And on top of that—

"Honey, that guy's jacket looks amazing! Want to get one too?"

"Sure thing."

A couple's conversation drifted over from nearby.

"Could I get that same shirt that guy's wearing?"

This time, it was a guy with choice paralysis asking the staff.

It seemed that Saku had temporarily become the store's model, drawing curious onlookers.

For the store employees, a guy this handsome who struck poses, bought clothes, and attracted other customers was like a dream come true. Why would they even think of stopping him?

Of course, there were a few surprises along the way.

"Hey there, could I get your number…"

One woman, seemingly emboldened, approached Saku with clear intentions.

Ikuyo immediately put down her phone and stepped up, staking her claim.

"Sorry, but he already has a girlfriend!"

Even if it was a fake relationship just for the day, a girlfriend was a girlfriend.

And she had every right to shoo away those bothersome women.

"My apologies."

With a polite nod, the woman backed off.

"Looks like we've accidentally become the center of attention," Ikuyo observed with a smile, glancing at the crowd that had gathered to watch them.

"So, do you want to keep picking outfits?" Saku asked.

He knew she wouldn't be bothered by the attention.

For someone as outgoing as Ikuyo Kita, this was hardly a big deal.

"Of course!"

This was a rare chance to have him try on all kinds of clothes she liked, and Ikuyo didn't want it to end anytime soon.

She still hadn't taken nearly enough pictures.

One thing she had to admit, though:

Good-looking people look amazing from any angle.

If a photo didn't turn out well, it was probably because the person wasn't quite good-looking enough.

Saku, however, was living proof of this truth.

Even in photos where she hadn't thought about the angle, he still looked brilliant, charming, and effortlessly handsome.

In contrast, she had to put in effort—makeup, filters, careful angles, and editing—to create a picture she felt comfortable posting online.

Not that she wasn't pretty, but all those steps made her photos even better.

With Saku, a single shot was practically flawless.

It was something she envied.

Then again, knowing he was her boyfriend, even if only for a day, restored her sense of balance.

After the minor incident with the woman's attempt to flirt, Ikuyo resumed her merry photoshoot.

"Miss, would you like to have your boyfriend try on this shirt?"

Just then, a store employee approached her with a suggestion, holding up a shirt.

"No thanks, we'll skip that one."

Ikuyo took one look and turned it down without hesitation.

"Why not?" The employee seemed taken aback.

Ikuyo answered honestly, "Because I don't like it."

As the girlfriend, she had every right to make that call.

Besides, he'd asked her to pick the outfits, not the store clerk.

"Understood."

With that, the employee left, and Ikuyo continued browsing for clothes for Saku.
