Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Draxus was staying outside of Preeliance for a week and a half, because most of his dates are currently away from the castle of Preeliance. He was given time off by Serkyrio so he could both prepare for the mission and have time for his fiancés. He decided to not ask why in regards to why he has to stay out of Preeliance and have no contact for the time being. 

His dates were three separate days, first in the middle, second at the weekends, and the last at the middle of next week. He pretty much had ample time for himself. But present time, he's currently in Paladia, walking around a knight by his side.

"Princess Matilda~!" The people around were constantly calling out Matilda, as she visited each stall and had light talk with the citizens. Draxus understood that she was well-liked by the people as she continued to help around them despite her status. This is especially because of her position as the Knight Princess of the country.

"Princess Matilda, I heard that you're engaged now right? Is it an arranged marriage?" Draxus was listening, but he understood those concerns as royalty do have that kind of a tendency. Matilda shook her head and simply took Draxus's hand and introduced him. "My future husband is Draxus Heimdal... One of Preeliance's Archons. Since that day on the war against Bovoyna, I've been with him ever since." "T-The Archon?! G-Greetings great archon..." Draxus quickly interjected, easing the lady who was simply selling her products. "No need to be that formal, I used to be a commoner on the other world. Besides..." Draxus started browsing the products, which were various fish. "You really value the quality of your products here." Draxus continued glancing around and noticed a fish caught that looked uncannily similar to tuna... "Hmm..." Draxus had his gaze focused towards it, which made Matilda chuckle a bit. "You could purchase this at a discount if you'd like." The shopkeeper offered a discounted price, but Draxus simply decided to pay the full price as Matilda said to him. "This is some impressive quality, and not gonna lie it's been ages since I last had one of these..." Draxus transferred the fist to his [Interdimensional Storage] and took note of it before the two of them continued their date.

Since they actually haven't entered the castle and decided for a stroll around town, they were stopped by two guards asking them to head towards the castle. "Ahahaha~ I guess it's been fun strolling around." "Yeah, I wanted to stroll around a bit more... But it can't be helped." Draxus laughed a bit while Matilda felt a bit disappointed. However, she wasn't that bothered as they finally decided to visit the castle of Paladia.

They were quickly directed towards a room in the castle, which is the King's office.

"Ooh Matilda! You came by to visit?" Draxus watched the Knight King and his daughter reunite for a moment, not wanting to disturb a reunion as he knew how important family is. "Draxus... Come here boy, it's been a while since we have talked." "Yeah, I've been so busy the past few months but now I got some time around." The king laughed a bit, as he had remember speaking to Draxus who had massive eyebags during the monthly meetings of [Tranquil Harmony]. "That's true, you have to make time for your fiancés as well. But it seems like I don't have to worry." "I just do what I can." Draxus smiled. Matilda watched with gentle eyes as watching her lover and her father interact. The three of them continued to talk around about their lives, the king was particularly curious about the current state of affairs within Draxus's side as he had learned that Draxus had attained two new fiancés in a short time. Matilda showed a troubled smile, Draxus was looking away in shame, and the king was laughing with how proactive Draxus was when it comes to his fiancés. Eventually the topic arrived at children.

"Yeah, about that... I'm currently so busy doing affairs in both this world and back on Earth, there's not really a lot of time for it. Besides, the enemies are still rampant. It would be better to deal with them first before we actually do something." The king agreed, as he remembered Pantheon resigning and relinquishing his hero power just to prevent himself from betraying the country. He knew that the Preeliance are still doing whatever they can to prepare against the enemies.

After some more time about talking, the castle had prepared a feast and a party for them, which the two joined as they changed into formal wear. Draxus and Matilda were matching in almost all aspects, the two were easily seen as a couple by how they interact with each other. Some of the nobles felt jealous while others felt like they truly represent union. Draxus had an absolute field day on the food as he ate with a rapid pace while still looking completely proper. Matilda who was seated next to him even decided to feed him from time to time, which made the jealous nobles even more frustrated. "Matilda seems to want to show those nobles who were aiming for her that she is happily engaged. Well if they really want her they gotta go through me. I ain't about to hand her over to some scrubs who can't do anything but watch and complain about their incompetence" Draxus thought that for a moment as he simply smiled and let Matilda do whatever she wants.

During the party, there was also a dance, which Draxus asked Matilda to participate with him. They easily became the spotlight as Draxus played along with Matilda's whim to have the nobles give up on her.

After the party, they went on separate baths, Draxus went with the King and the Prince, while Matilda went with her mother, the queen.

"Matilda, have you done it with Draxus already?" And with a direct strike to the soul, she was immediately asked whether she had done it with Draxus. She was aware as to what her mother had asked, and immediately blushed as she caused the water to splash on the ladies' bath. "M-Mother?! W-We have not done such thing!" She was greatly embarrassed, as she immediately tried to hide herself underwater. Matilda was not expecting her mother of all people to ask about it. The queen grinned as she suggested Matilda to get even closer to Draxus, seemingly excited over grandchildren. Matilda continued to endure the girl's talk which was pretty much her mother simply teacher her about ways to make a man satisfied.

On the flipside, Draxus and the king were playing chess while still bathing. The prince was talking over them so they were still conversing about things and grumbling over paperwork during the chess match.

After baths, Draxus decided to join Matilda in her room, which they spoke a bit on the bed at night. Matilda was beet red, blushing, as it was pretty much the first time they were going to sleep together. "Draxus... Have you thought about doing it...?" Draxus was put off guard by the sudden question coming from Matilda of all his fiancés, but he quickly recovered and answered honestly. "I've thought about it many times now... But I want to hold myself back..." Matilda was staring right into his eyes, thinking that she has to prepare for it, so she asked whether Draxus wants to. "Do... You want to do it...?" Draxus widened his eyes, as this was something he had never expected them to do. He was almost unable to answer, but first, he wanted to confirm things. "D-Does Matilda want to do it...?" He tried to turn the question around, but was faced with a straightforward answer. "If Draxus wants to do it... I am prepared for it." Many things crossed Draxus' mind, but he eventually decided to not do it and simply end the night by kissing Matilda. "I'm not going to lie, but I do want to... But I want to avoid doing it for the time being, I don't know how to explain it... So if you could understand..." Matilda smiled at Draxus' answer, as he wanted to at the very least not lose on his desires that easily. The two then slept together as Matilda clung to Draxus.
