Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Draxus picked up Julianna from the Preeliance castle's outskirts, the two then quickly decided to head to where Julianna wanted to go.

And after some time of travel, the place they ended up on was the cold taiga to the north of the castle.

"I never thought you'd want to go here of all places. Is there any specifics as to why you chose this place?" Draxus was surprised as he wore his usual clothes, while Julianna wore thicker clothes. "Mmm... I want to build a secret base..." "A secret base...?" Draxus felt nostalgic, but at the same time shocked with the words she muttered. A secret base isn't really something that she would bring up. "I've played too much games... But I wanted to do something like this as well..." "I see... How do you want the secret base to be like?" When Draxus asked her how she wants her secret base, she felt stumped. She had completely no idea on what to do. "Well if you can't really think of one, I do have some ideas." Draxus and Julianna walked around looking for a good entrance. When they arrived to a lake, Draxus immediately had a great idea.

Draxus activated magic which allowed him to go underwater without needing to hold his breath. He applied the same magic to Julianna so she could go together with him.

Under the lake, there were many fish and corals on the floor, Draxus looked for a spot which had no corals before using his magic to create a hole and a barrier so water does not fall into the hole.

The two of them then entered the hole, Draxus quickly setup a force barrier which prevents certain objects from passing through it. He programmed it to simply prevent water, fish, or any debris from entering aside from people. "Now that we have this huge hole, we should start decorating it." Julianna was now excited, as Draxus brought out various materials which allowed them to start decorating the secret base.

After a solid four five hours, it was now lunch time. The two of them ate a meal that energizes them more, with hot chocolate as their drinks. "So you played that game, and started to want to make a cool secret base?" "Yes... A place where nobody else but us could be in..." "Really now, I guess there there are times that we just want to hide away from everything else." Julianna nodded in agreement, as there were times that she was being called out by annoying men when walking around the city for peacekeeping. "Back then... I used to be afraid of them... But staying with you... I don't have to stay behind all the time..." Seeing that she had somewhat gained her confidence, she started to be able to handle things on her own. Draxus felt very proud of that since she was now able to confidently go around without being looked at annoying men the whole time. Most of the citizens recognize her as Draxus's fiancé, which is why they treat her with respect. The same goes for various other fiancés as they're pretty much well known.

After eating their lunch, they continued going through the simple things of the secret base. They placed a small foam below the entrance since there's still a two meter drop from the barrier to the ground. Since they had finished the walls and traces of possible other rooms before lunch, they went and prepared for the actual furnishings for the secret base.

Draxus handled the placements of the furniture which sported a mostly white color. Modern tables, sofas, even glass tables are placed around. Julianna handled the part for the other decorations, some of which include the flowers, books, and various other things. The entrance of the secret base led to the living quarters immediately. Three large sofas surround the foam in the middle while a large flat screen tv was on the wall facing the sofas. They continued to further decorate it, Julianna wanted to make it similar to Draxus's mansion. After finishing about everything needed, Draxus went to work on three comfort rooms, while Julianna worked around on the bedroom.

"This should fit all nine of us right?" Julianna was thinking long and hard as the bed she laid was a custom bed that would be enough to fit around fifteen people. She thought about that as she wanted to make sure everyone had their own extra space. "My sister moves around a lot when asleep..." She pondered and eventually decided to go with the current size. "Now then... These... LED lights? So the mood can be set..." Needless to say, Julianna is quite romantic despite being introverted.

Julianna struggled a bit with setting up the LED lights around the corners of the room. However, she did manage it, and even setup the switch next to the bed for the color. She was able to work with electricity by setting it up with a magic stone instead. In the room, there's currently only the bed, along with ten closets. However, she had already felt satisfied with the results.

Draxus had finished working with the drainage systems and the bathroom, and decided to check on Julianna. When he arrived to the bedroom, he could easily notice her hand on her hips as she had a satisfied expression. Draxus could only show a troubled smile as he looked at the size of the bed. He remembered what Matilda had said that time and immediately shook his head to forget that small memory of invitation. "So you intend to tell them?" "Of course, I can't hog you all to myself... It would be unfair to others." "So when will you tell them?" "Tomorrow..." Draxus figured that he may as well spend more of his time improving the secret base. The two then setup a clock on the bedroom so they could see what time it is. When they booted up the clock, they realized that it was already evening as they had to check their phones to align the time.

The two decided to make use of the giant bed for their night to sleep together.

Julianna was too happy for having been able to do a lot with Draxus alone. She knew that a chance like that would be too scarce due to the amount of work Draxus does and the missions he goes to. She felt slightly concerned as she snuggled on his chest. "Something wrong?" "..." Julianna was silent, but Draxus understood her feelings already. "You're concerned on how much missions I go through huh... And considering some of them even end with me unconscious for long periods of time..." Julianna nodded, as she knew how dangerous the missions can get due to being able to witness the power of most of the members and enemies. "I'm sorry, I know this already but... I'll do my best to give you all more time." Julianna looked up to Draxus as they continued cuddle on the bed. She was staring in his eyes which Draxus immediately took the hint.

Draxus then gave her a kiss on her lips passionately, allowing her to enjoy the feeling for a very long time. After that moment, Julianna smiled as she muttered her feelings out. "I love you Drax... Good night..." Draxus felt a bit giddy, as he did reply naturally. "I love you too, Julie..." He gave her a kiss in the forehead before the two of them slept.
