Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

After Draxus had finished knocking down Josh completely, he was left with a choice of whether killing him or sparing him for the sake of his growth.

Since Josh had pretty much lost it completely, Draxus had thought about killing him. However Keith had tried to speak his case. "D-Drax... I won't go against your final decision, but if you could hopefully listen to me. If you look at Josh now you would see something similar to your past self! That's how I saw his current state... However, unlike you who still had the Preeliance... Josh has nobody... So if you spare him, I will take full responsibility of rehabilitating him!" Pauleen, Juniper, Tiffany, and Aaliyah stood by his side, agreeing with his argument. Keith had his heart on his chest, pleading for Draxus to reconsider his decision of killing him.

Draxus in turn remembered Keith's words, mostly about his compassion as he knew that it was all Gayle's fault everything has happened. "Drax, I told you last time, he still has a chance, I will help him recover, and I will make it that everything has been fixed between you. I know he can do it, I know that Josh will be able to do it!" Juniper stood by Keith's side, also began pleading for Draxus to spare Josh. "Draxus, please! Josh is still our friend, if you could please spare him, we will do our best for him to recover from Gayle and his resentment towards you. We'll do something about it!" Pauleen also stood, but she didn't want to say anything as she wants to leave it to Draxus' judgement.

Draxus then turned towards Audrey's side, he noticed that her expression was both conflicted and angered, wanting to get rid of Josh if possible.

Audrey stood at the other side, she was still mad at both Josh and Gayle, who had brought his friends down so many times, with Keith even nearly dying on that incident. "I would be more willing to have Josh executed here. No matter what he has done, I will never be able to forgive his actions, but if you make the choice of sparing him, then I will accept your decision no questions asked." Jevil, Wesley, and Layla stood by her side. She had her arms crossed and awaited for judgement.

Draxus remembered what Audrey had said. If she had the opportunity to kill Josh and Gayle, she would do so with no questions asked. 

She was waiting for his judgement, as the opportunity is present to kill both Josh and Gayle.

Keith tried to further push his wish to spare Josh, but Serkyrio entered the room and was silenced.

Draxus turned towards Gayle for a moment, the indifference in her eyes signaled him that she cannot do anything and leave the decision to him. Noticing that Serkyrio has entered the room, he turned his gaze towards him, who simply threw a card at Draxus.

Draxus caught the card and felt emanating power coming from it. Just as Serkyrio promised to him, he would upgrade all of Draxus' cards from simply being fortune, to actual World Breaker cards. Draxus turned towards his fiancés, both Abigail and Olivia nodded, okay with whatever choice he had chosen. Serkyrio then left the room before Draxus channeled the magic.

He raised the card up high and channeled the power.

"[I will now hereby declare Judgement]." A scaling balance appeared behind Draxus, everyone who was inside were now feeling the intensity of pressure, as Draxus could now simply announce what will happen to them.

"In the name of [Judgement], I hereby declare Josh, guilty. His punishment will be according to the victim's will, which is Keith Nagual." Keith's eyes widen at Draxus' judgement, he knelt and looked down, trying to not show any wavering feelings towards him. "I'm grateful... Chief Draxus..." Pauleen, Juniper, Tiffany, and Aaliyah did the same. Audrey, Jevil, Wesley closed their eyes, accepting Draxus' judgement. Olivia and Abigail smiled, feeling relieved as Draxus didn't choose to become a heartless monster. But it was not the end yet. "In the name of [Judgement]..." Everyone looked up in surprise as to who might be receiving Draxus' judgement next. "I hereby declare Gayle, guilty." "W-What?! I d-" The scale tipped to the right heavily. Gayle tried to challenge his judgement, but all of a sudden, the recovered strength, stamina, and mana had completely weakened to the point that she couldn't even stand up again. "Attacking an Archon, indirect responsibility of Keith's attempted murder, and various other crimes listed under the name of own personal entertainment. Your punishment will be according to my will after this." Gayle was forced to understand what she had done, and what had happened, as Draxus was somewhat strengthened after taking all of Gayle's stamina. She was conscious, but she decided to accept the outcome. "I shouldn't have... Done all that to you huh...?" She was regretting her actions as Judgement was disabled and she instantly recovered all her energy and mana again...

"The court is now adjourned. Audrey, take Gayle to the guest room of the Hall of Sentinels." Everyone now left, aside from Draxus, Olivia and Abigail as Draxus deactivated his [Judgement] Card. He sat down on the debris and looked at the ceiling. Olivia and Abigail sat down on Draxus' sides, clinging onto each of his arms. He smiled as he wanted to rest for a bit. "It's been a tiring day huh...?" "Drax, you should honestly sleep for the day. I can tell that you haven't slept yet before the trial." Abigail smiled as she raised that concern on him. Olivia then followed up with her own concerns. "I'm glad that you decided to think of a chance... Sure, Josh and Gayle may have done terrible things to you, but you decided to not kill them..." "They are still getting punished just so you know, but death is like, the easy way out for them. I want them to repent for their actions, and not just simply get rid of them. Besides, Keith knows that there is a possibility, he could get everything to work out in the end." "You're right, but it still doesn't change the fact that your judgement on them is not just a cruel decision." Olivia and Abigail were both happy with Draxus not in harms way or in comatose after using a dangerous card. "By the way Drax... Your form... The Prime Existence manifestation..." "Is cool? Right?" Abigail was surprised that Draxus had somewhat predicted her thoughts. "I never thought that my form as [Prime Existence] was quite close to my current appearance... But yeah, it's still quite incomplete." The three of them continued to sit on place, but with Draxus suggesting to head to the secret base, the two agreed. Draxus opened a boundary and went to take a shower, the two did the same on different shower rooms.

After some time, Olivia and Abigail laid down on the giant bed with him, covering both his sides as the three slept gleefully.
