Chapter 53 - I
“Well, okay.” Liu Fang responded dazedly, feeling that the person in front of him seemed fake.
But then the warmth from their intertwined fingers let him know for sure that it was true.
He was really with Jing Xingzhi.
Liu Fang followed Jing Xingzhi’s steps and glanced down at Jing Xingzhi’s right hand, which was holding his hand. His heart was filled with honey, and his mouth was filled with sweetness.
Jing Xingzhi saw the two Amus ‘peeping’ and knew that people were impatient to wait, and it was not polite to leave their elders and let them wait.
“Let’s go to the main room. The two Amus must waiting for us impatiently.” Jing Xingzhi opened the door leading to the main room at the back and explained to Liu Fang.
On the other side, Hua Amu and Xiu Amu started running.
If the young couple wants to go to the main room, it must be to greet them. But the two of them went in a big circle!
So, Liu Fang entered the main room and walked out, only to bump into his two Amus who were walking in a hurry.
Liu Fang smiled and said: “Hua Amu, Xiu Amu, did you just go to the kitchen?”
Hua Amu smiled: “Yes, we went to the kitchen. That chef of yours cooks so deliciously that I want to learn back!”
Xiu Amu also smiled and nodded, agreeing, “We’ll have a treat at noon!”
“These are home-cooked side dishes,” Liu Fang said modestly, then looked back, “Xingzhi is in the main room, he just went there.”
Hua Amu took Xiu Amu’s arm and said, “Then let’s go to the main room.”
The two Amus were older, and after saying this, their guilt immediately disappeared, and their curiosity and gossipy explorations continued.
The two of them were originally worried that the young couple would have emotional problems, but it turned out that they just saw the scene.
Tsk, that was crooked.
But there was no problem at all, so there was some misunderstanding between the young couple. It would be nice if it was made clear now.
Hua Amu had a strong personality and had the right ideas. He had already thought about when to propose marriage. He urged the young couple to get married, and everything was justified. If anything happened in the future, they would not be afraid that some noble shuanger or lady would appear, causing their Fang Ge’er’s reputation to suffer.
But the current appearance of the little scholar seemed to be reliable to Hua Amu. It was just the temptation of being in power and being rich was too great, which made him a little worried about Liu Fang’s future.
It seemed that after getting married, they had to make arrangements to have children as soon as possible!
Hua Amu had carefully arranged things for Liu Fang in his heart and walked with an extremely steady pace.
The four of them sat in the main room and chatted nonchalantly. Hua Amu and Xiu Amu talked about the people in the village for a while, took the time to learn more about Jing Xingzhi, and gradually became familiar with them.
Jing Xingzhi maintained a steady attitude towards the two elders but would also make some funny remarks from time to time.
Liu Fang propped up his chin, while Jing Xingzhi talked and laughed freely, his mind wandering nowhere, making the eyes of the two elders hurt.
After lunch and sitting for a while, the two Amus were ready to leave.
Liu Fang went to prepare something, leaving Jing Xingzhi to greet them alone.
Hua Amu found an opportunity and asked Jing Xingzhi, “Xingzhi, what do you think about the wedding banquet? You and Fang Ge’er are at the right age, and Fang Ge’er is a little older now.”
Generally speaking, the people who got married were similar in age. The only difference was that the man was older, and the shuanger or the girl were younger.
But the adopted wife must naturally be older, and he needed to take care of his husband. Therefore, in an ordinary family, Liu Fang’s age would be old enough to have two children.
Xiu Amu’s eyes looked at Jing Xingzhi with a hint of eagerness, and his intention to encourage him was obvious.
Jing Xingzhi said, “Huh,” and scratched his head: “When do you think it is a suitable time this year?”
Hua Amu’s eyes lit up: “Your birthday is next month; you will be sixteen. Let’s celebrate the two happy days together. What do you think?”
“What about the guests? Invite relatives and friends to a meal and let them know?” Jing Xingzhi asked humbly. He had the impression that he had attended other people’s wedding banquets, but he didn’t know what taboo.
Xiu Amu knew the matter better and introduced: “It’s almost the same. I’ll ask the teachers and clan elders to set up a table. The wedding day is a big one. There are about ten tables in the village. If more of your teachers and friends come, you can have twenty tables, but you don’t have to take care of this. You just have to pay for some ingredients. When the work is done, the uncles and aunts who help will have another meal, and that’s it!”
The schedule for three meals sounded pretty good. Well, it didn’t feel like it was particularly troublesome.
“Okay.” Jing Xingzhi nodded, “I’ll ask Ah Fang. If he thinks the date is good, we’ll set that day. Then the two elders will have to work hard!”
Hua Amu glanced at him and caught a glimpse.
Liu Fang came out with two baskets. He pulled the person over and asked with a smile: “Xingzhi thinks it would be good to have a wedding banquet for his birthday this year. Fang Ge’er, do you think it’s okay?”
“Huh?” Liu Fang was stunned for a moment and looked at him with a smile.
Hua Amu and Xiu Amu finally looked at Jing Xingzhi.
Jing Xingzhi looked at him with a smile, the corners of his mouth forming a happy curve, and his eyes reflecting a smile as gentle as the summer wind.
Liu Fang couldn’t help but say, “Ah, oh, oh” and nodded.
‘All is fine, all is good. If it’s this person, everything will work.’
