Chapter 53 - II
That night.
Jing Xingzhi took his second bath of the day and then entered Liu Fang’s room.
Liu Fang was engrossed in reading a collection of poems. Last time, he had suggested studying together, but Jing Xingzhi declined, wanting to go through it again on his own. However, Liu Fang couldn’t help but ponder over the poems.
Hearing the sound of Jing Xingzhi coming in, Liu Fang turned his head slightly, stole a glance, and quickly returned to his book.
The table where Liu Fang reads was placed beside the bed. In addition to books, several small bottles were on it.
Jing Xingzhi sat on the bed, leaning on the bedside and looking at him. “You’re still reading; come up and sleep,” he said with a smile.
Liu Fang turned a page, but not a word registered in his mind.
He looked at the boy leaning against the bedside. The loose collar partially obscured by shadow and half of the exposed skin illuminated by light made him increasingly handsome. Jing Xingzhi wore a smile that seemed to lure anyone in.
Jing Xingzhi caught his gaze, moved closer, and with a curved smile, asked, “Am I good-looking?”
Liu Fang reached out to pinch his chin, tossed aside his book, and said, “You’d look better without clothes.”
“Hey! That won’t do, that won’t do.” Jing Xingzhi smiled, retracting slightly and covering himself, “We’re not even married yet; I can’t let you take advantage of me.”
Liu Fang’s ears turned red after hearing this. He knew Jing Xingzhi was just teasing. Flirtation, and then withholding… Would he get annoyed or not?
Liu Fang lost his book, extinguished the lamp, climbed into bed, and laid down on his side.
As Jing Xingzhi waited for him to lay down, he turned around and observed Liu Fang’s profile, engaging in conversation: “Xiao Fangfang, what a coincidence, Brother Mingrui proposed about a wedding banquet yesterday. The two Amus brought it up today!”
“What a coincidence. But why did Wu Mingrui bring it up?” Liu Fang asked.
“He wants to change the topic. It seems Yaojun went to see him.” Jing Xingzhi paused and then asked, “Do you think they are suitable?”
“It’s a matter of chance. After all, we don’t know their fates. Who knows if they will really be together just like us?” Liu Fang said with emotion.
Just as he was thinking that he was also a lucky one, a familiar body next to him came towards him.
Jing Xingzhi occupied half of Liu Fang’s pillow, his head next to his. He held Liu Fang’s slender waist in his hands, and the two of them were very close.
Jing Xingzhi said in a low voice, “Yes. I never thought that we would be together.”
Jing Xingzhi didn’t say anything, but Liu Fang understood. He tilted his head and rubbed Jing Xingzhi, like two small animals depending on each other. ‘You rub me, and I rub you.’
As he rubbed, Jing Xingzhi’s breathing quickened, and then he slowly laughed.
“Fortunately, I didn’t stay stupid for too long, otherwise, you would have suffered a lot…”
Liu Fang suspected that he was teasing, but there was no evidence because only Jing Xingzhi’s upper body was close to him.
.
Jing Xing’s birthday was next month, and the days became hurried in the blink of an eye, as if they passed by in a flash, just like rushing water.
But because he was busy, Liu Fang pushed Jing Xingzhi to the back mountain to read, while he ran around the village academy and got busy.
A large amount of ingredients, tables, stools, bowls, and chopsticks, as well as notifying and reserving relatives and friends, required careful and good-tempered work.
Liu Fang was preparing for everything, and his heart gradually became more solid. His energy level increased, and his appearance became more and more outstanding. It was like some people felt refreshed during happy events.
Three days before Jing Xingzhi’s birthday.
The large carriage stopped at the door of the academy’s house.
Fang Yaojun and Fang Qichen were sitting in the carriage, waiting for Jing Xingzhi and Liu Fang to come up from behind.
Fang Qichen was a teacher, half-father, and Fang Yaojun was a younger sister. The two of them had already prepared for this trip and freed up time. They even planned to stay in Jingjia Village for a while and get to know each other.
Inside the house.
Liu Fang turned around and felt that there was nothing missing, so he knocked on the door of the room and urged Jing Xingzhi: “Okay, let’s go, it’s time for us to set off!”
Jing Xingzhi secretly put the golden peanuts under the pillow into his small purse.
Jing Xingzhi came out of the room, raised his head, and said, “Come on, come on!”
Jing Xingzhi came out of the room, stretched out his hand, and led Liu Fang out. He noticed a layer of sweat on Liu Fang’s forehead, took out a handkerchief to wipe it, and complained, “I told you I could help, but you had to drive me away.”
Liu Fang glanced at him, saying, “who told you to sleep so late last night? Aren’t you happy I let you catch up with your sleep?”
Then Liu Fang blushed after saying that.
He got up after sleeping last night, only to find the people around him were gone, and there was light in the outer hall.
Liu Fang walked out and saw Jing Xingzhi engrossed in the ‘Yellow Book’. He was so embarrassed that he almost exploded.
He couldn’t figure out why Jing Xingzhi, even though lying on the side, remained as motionless as a Bodhisattva. Just when he thought Jing Xingzhi wanted to be a Bodhisattva, he discovered he was secretly reading the ‘Yellow Book’ by himself.
What did it mean?
Previously, he worried that Jing Xingzhi had a mental disorder. Liu Fang pondered over it for a long time. When he found out that wasn’t the case, he felt embarrassed and annoyed, saying, “You won’t sleep even if I ask you to. Tomorrow, sleep in a room by yourself!”
Jing Xingzhi refused, saying, “No. I’ve already mastered the air-guiding technique!”
Liu Fang was stunned, stopped, and asked strangely, “So what if it doesn’t work?”
Jing Xingzhi, lowering his proud manly head, replied, “That’s a man’s skill… no need to worry.”
Then he raised his gaze to look at Liu Fang, indicating that he didn’t want to practice boy kung fu anymore.
