Chapter 1: Jujutsu Kaisen the origin 1
The world of sorcery is an unforgiving place, where only those with exceptional skills are able to survive its cruelty.
Over the years, the outside world has slowly evolved, going through various eras of change until reaching the present day, a time marked by technological advancements and groundbreaking discoveries. However, in the hidden world of sorcerers and curses, these forces remained hidden from the eyes of the rest of humanity.
No one in the outside world could imagine the danger that is coming. An inevitable change is coming, and with it, a threat that could unleash chaos across the entire planet.
At that moment, a single person could be seen walking, while another was carrying on his back a strange, white being with marks on its body, visibly injured. They were walking through what appeared to be a tropical forest.
After walking for a while, they arrived at a beach. There, two people could be seen sitting on a beach chair, covered by an umbrella.
The one carrying the other spoke, with amusement:
—Yogo, Geto, I'm back.
Yogo looked at him and replied:
—Majito, so it's you. I see that you accomplished your mission, and Hanami, it seems, suffered serious injuries.
Majito started walking and approached them, leaving Hanamien one of the beach chairs to recover, and sat on the other.
Geto looked at him and asked:
—Tell me, did you bring what I asked for?
Majito, who was carrying a bag, smiled and replied:
—Of course I brought it, it wasn't very difficult.
He reached into the bag and continued:
—The six fingers of Sukuna that the school had, plus the cursed winds corresponding to the death squares 1 to 3, and... what you asked me to bring, if it was possible, but I brought it.
Majito took out the last item: a gold ring, with red engravings all over it, connected by dots. He handed the ring to Geto, who received it with curiosity while smiling.
Majito asked:
—Geto, why did you ask me to bring that ring? When I entered the room where they kept all the cursed items, this ring was in a glass cabinet at the end of the room, hidden by the other items in the room. Although it didn't have any cursed seals. Also, when I grabbed it, I checked it with my energy, but I didn't feel anything.
Geto glanced at him and replied:
—If I asked you if you would like to meet God, what would your answer be?
Yogo and Majito were surprised. Yogo replied:
—More than meeting him, I would like him to answer my questions, that's it.
Majito smiled with amusement and said:
—Hahaha, that would be interesting. I wonder how strong his soul is or what he is capable of doing, what his limits are. Hahaha.
Geto smiled and commented:
—I'd also like to ask them questions and see what that being is capable of. Wouldn't that be interesting?
Yogo looked at the ring with his one eye and spoke:
—So you say that with this ring you can connect with a god. That's why you asked Majito to bring it.
Geto leaned back in his chair as he looked at the ring and replied:
—I don't know the details, but I found a story about this ring. Inside it lies a transcendental being, known by two names: the cursed god and the first curse of the world.
Majito and Yogo were surprised. Majito asked:
—The first curse is inside this ring? But how did you find out?
Geto explained:
—In the past, sorcerers guarded this ring as the most secret matter in the world. But, over time, sorcerers stopped giving it importance. So I searched for some information about it, but I found nothing except for those two names.
Majito leaned back in his chair while stretching his body and asked:
—So, what are your plans? Do you want to wake that god from his sleep?
Yogo intervened:
—I wonder how strong it is, if it was the world's first curse. And why did it end up locked in that ring?
Geto replied:
—From the way I see the ring, it's possible that he's locked his soul away. For whoever put on the ring, he could take over his body. A ring, a simple object, for someone to put on. The problem is that this guy must not be that friendly.
Majito smiled with amusement and said:
—If we're all together, he might not even be able to do anything against us. Since he's from the past, he must be very weak. It should just be a first-class curse. Hahaha.
Geto nodded and said:
—So let's do it this way: let's find a good body for this being. We'll release it after Hanamise recovers.
Yogo asked:
—So, who will look for the body and what does the human have to be like?
Geto replied:
—A perfect body, a strong body, but a weak soul.
Majito said:
—I understand. I'll look for it in the next few days.
Majito stood up and began to walk, heading deeper into the rainforest.
Yogo stood up and approached Hanami. He asked:
—How are you, Hanami? It seems that you were attacked by someone powerful. Was it Satoru Goyo?
Hanami replied :
—Yes, it was Satoru Goyo's. He almost exorcised me.
Yogo nodded and said:
—I'll take you to a place where you can recover faster.
Yogo picked up Hanami and started to walk out of the place, leaving Geto alone at the site.
Meanwhile, in the sea, a red octopus-like being was swimming.
For his part, Majito, after walking for a while, arrived at the city in search of the new body for the being that lived inside the ring.
Majito walked through the city calmly, moving like a shadow among the normal humans who couldn't see him. He observed each person carefully, evaluating them for a body that could withstand being cursed.
After several hours of searching, he found no one suitable. Days passed as he continued his exploration, checking every corner of the city. However, one night, as he watched from the top of one of the tallest buildings, something caught his eye.
There he was, a man who radiated power and authority. He was the leader of a major company in Japan, wielding an immense amount of money and influence. Majito watched him descend from a luxury car, surrounded by attendants and guards who greeted him with reverence.
The man wore an impeccable suit, with a trench coat resting elegantly on his shoulders. His black hair was slicked back naturally, without gel, giving him an air of carefree confidence. On his hands were black leather gloves that reflected the light from the streetlamps.
Majito watched him closely as the CEO entered his company's imposing building. Fascinated, he decided to follow him closely for the next few days. From the shadows, he studied his movements, his routine and his character.
One afternoon, while the man was working in his large office on the top floor of the building, surrounded by huge windows that offered a spectacular view of the city, Majito crept closer. He touched his shoulder, using his power to analyze his body and soul.
Majito's face lit up with a mischievous smile as his eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Interesting…" he whispered to himself, with a mixture of excitement and cruelty.
The CEO's body was perfect: strong, resilient, and his soul, though cunning, was weak enough for what they needed. Majito silently stepped aside, letting the man continue his work, oblivious to what was coming.
He thought to himself as he descended the building's emergency stairs:
—I'll take him tonight. It'll be interesting. Besides, Geto has everything ready.
Majito's smile widened as he walked into the brightly lit streets of the city, preparing his next move.
Night fell over the city, and the CEO building shone with lights that illuminated the top like a beacon of power. From above, Majito watched him patiently, his figure barely visible in the shadows of a neighboring rooftop.
Inside the building, the CEO was finishing his day. His office, a luxurious space filled with designer furniture and advanced technology, was completely silent except for the clacking of his keyboard as he answered the last emails of the day. Next to him, a glass of whiskey rested on the desk, almost empty.
Majito waited for the perfect moment. When the CEO finally stood up from his chair, stretching his arms and preparing to leave, Majito smiled.
—It's now.
In the blink of an eye, he passed through the walls of the building like an intangible shadow, slipping into the office unnoticed. The CEO, oblivious to his presence, grabbed his coat and turned off the lights. As he headed for the door, Majito appeared in front of him, emerging from the gloom with a sinister smile.
The CEO stopped dead in his tracks, his face showing surprise and then confusion.
"Who are you? How did you get in here?" he asked firmly, although there was a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Majito tilted his head, observing him carefully.
—Let's just say I'm someone who sees potential in people... and you, my dear friend, have a lot to offer.
The CEO took a step back, reaching for the alarm button under his desk, but Majito was faster. In one fluid movement, he immobilized him, touching his forehead with a hand covered in cursed energy.
The man tried to resist, but a cold sensation ran through his body, leaving him unable to move.
—Relax, it won't hurt much... —said Majito, enjoying the moment.
The CEO tried to scream, but his voice was muffled. Majito closed his eyes, concentrating as his powers explored every corner of the victim's body and soul.
—Perfect... absolutely perfect. A strong body, but a soul weak enough for what we need.
The CEO could barely get a word out before Majito completed his spell.
-Please...
"Silence," Majito whispered, with a mixture of sweetness and cruelty in his voice.
The cursed energy gathered in Majito's palm, and with a final movement, the CEO's soul was suppressed. The man's body fell unconscious to the ground, limp, as Majito watched with satisfaction.
—Now, it's time to hand you over to your new owner —he said with a mischievous smile.
Majito quickly carried the body over his shoulder. His cursed energy enveloped both of them, hiding them from the building's security cameras. With agile movements, he began to move, descending the stairs and crossing corridors without leaving a trace.
Once outside, Majito launched himself into the darkness of the city. He leapt easily between buildings, enjoying the wind on his face as he smiled a wide, cruel smile. He headed at full speed towards the forest, where Geto and the others were waiting for him.
After a while, Majito made his way into the forest, moving nimbly through the trees. Finally, he came to a wide plain illuminated by the faint moonlight. There stood Geto, Yogo, Dagon and Hanami, waiting for him in silence.
Majito landed gracefully next to them and left his body in front of Geto.
"There you go," he said in a satisfied tone.
Geto looked at the body carefully, nodding slowly as a smile formed on his lips.
"Not bad at all... He has a nice body," he said, approving Majito's work.
Without another word, Geto carried the body to the center of the plain, where he carefully placed it on a wooden chair. Then, he raised a hand and looked at the others.
—I'm going to lift a veil. No one will be able to hear us or leave this barrier. Get ready.
Geto began to recite the words needed to activate the spell:
—Shadows of the night, energies that envelop everything. Arise and cover this place. Isolate it from the outside world, where neither heaven nor earth can reach us. Veil of darkness, cover us now!
As he finished his invocation, a dark aura emerged from his hand, rapidly spreading towards the sky. The energy expanded, forming an impenetrable dome that enveloped the plain, plunging it into absolute silence.
The others felt the barrier close around them. Hanami, fully recovered, watched intently as Geto finished the spell that raised the barrier. Yogo crossed his arms, his expression serious, while Dagon remained motionless but alert. Majito, for his part, had a wide, excited smile.
"Everything is ready," Geto said calmly, approaching the CEO's body.
Geto took the ring and the CEO's hand, beginning to place it on his finger.
—And when is the wedding, Geto? —Majito shouted mockingly. —You have to invite us.
Geto looked at him seriously, but the other curses couldn't contain their laughter.
"How funny," Geto replied with a sigh, ignoring the comment as he finished placing the ring on the CEO's finger. He jumped back, returning to his companions.
Everyone watched intently. The ring immediately began to react: the red lines engraved on its surface began to move, slowly spreading across the CEO's body as if they were living veins. The marks advanced from his hand, running through every part of his body, until they covered him completely.
Suddenly, the CEO woke up and started screaming desperately, begging for help.
—Help! Please, no! No!
His voice filled with terror echoed in the room as the red lines moved towards his head, glowing brightly. Majito, with a smile of pure excitement, watched without blinking.
"This is getting interesting..." he murmured excitedly.
However, just as the marks reached his head, the CEO's body fell back to the ground, completely limp. The red lines faded away, and an awkward silence filled the plain.
The people waited for a while, but nothing happened. They looked at the body without understanding, until Geto broke the silence:
—Majito, check his soul. Something's not right. I don't feel any cursed energy in his body.
Majito sighed, visibly disappointed.
—Damn it. I thought this would be spectacular. If this doesn't work, I'll use your body to modify it.
With a carefree movement, Majito approached the body. He placed a hand on it and let his cursed energy flow.
"Passive mutation," he muttered, as a dark energy enveloped the CEO.
The body began to rapidly transform, inflating grotesquely. Its muscles expanded disproportionately, breaking the chair it was sitting on. Its human form disappeared, turning into a gigantic, deformed beast.
Majito stepped back, admiring his handiwork.
"It looks much better this way, don't you think?" he said, smiling with amusement.
However, before he could say anything else, a burst of energy erupted from the monstrosity's body, sending Majito flying back several meters. The others covered their faces with their hands as the wind generated by the explosion shook the place.
The CEO's body began to move erratically, as if something inside him was struggling to get out. Slowly, he returned to his original size and appearance. A golden energy with red flashes emerged from his body, causing the air around him to become heavy and burning hot.
Suddenly, steam began to rise from the CEO's body, filling the entire plain. The dense, hot fog covered the place, making it difficult for everyone to see. Those present remained silent, attentive and tense, while the temperature of the environment increased.
"What the hell is going on?" Yogo asked with a frown, trying to clear the steam with his hand.
Majito, standing again, watched with his eyes shining with excitement.
—This... this is better than I expected.
Geto, though intrigued, remained calm and stepped forward, analyzing the situation.
—Whatever it is, it looks like we're not done here. Get ready.
After a moment, the steam disappeared, revealing the CEO's body completely intact. His head remained bowed, but something had changed: his hair was slowly turning white, until it became completely albino.
Those present watched him attentively, instinctively increasing their guard.
Suddenly, a voice echoed in the air, slow and confused:
—I was asleep... Something... something moved my soul. I don't understand... What's going on...?
The curses and Geto looked at him curiously, keeping their eyes peeled. Geto mused, So his soul was asleep. When Mr. Curse touched him with his curse ritual, it seemed to wake him from his sleep. It makes sense; he must have been waiting for a long time.
The being slowly raised its head, and its eyes, a deep red with golden flashes and slanted pupils, rested on those present.
—Were you...?
At that moment, an overwhelming weight came over them. None of those present could move, as if something invisible was holding them down. The intensity of those eyes made them feel as if they were facing an infinite abyss.
The being raised its gaze completely, stretched its arms as if stretching after a long sleep and took a deep breath before speaking:
—How long has it been...? I remember who I am... Kaito Kagyo... I'm back.
Kaito looked down at his body, inspecting it closely.
—This body is in good shape. I can release all my energy without limitations. My previous body was always on the verge of collapse, forced to constantly heal it. Now it's different... I no longer feel restrictions.
Then he looked up at those present, his tone of voice changing to a more inquisitive one:
—And you? Who are you?
The others exchanged nervous glances, but Geto was the first to speak, remaining calm.
—I'm a special grade sorcerer. You can call me Geto... or Kenjaku , as you prefer.
One by one, the others began to introduce themselves.
—I am Majito, a special grade curse.
—I am Hanami, also a special grade curse.
"My name is Yogo, a special grade curse," said the one with the volcanic head.
Finally, the little octopus tried to speak, but his words were barely audible:
—I am... Dagon ... a curse.
Kaito watched them closely, his eyes shining with a hint of amusement.
—A wizard, a curse that looks like a human, a volcanic curse, a talking tree... and an octopus. What a peculiar combination.
The people present showed expressions of offense at Kaito's comment. It was Majito who broke the silence with a crooked smile and an angry tone:
—You talk a lot for a being from the past. You must be very weak.
Kaito ignored him completely, turning his gaze towards Geto.
—I thought I had eliminated all the sorcerers, but it seems I was wrong... I wonder, how many years have passed since I was last alive?
Majito gritted his teeth, visibly upset, and exclaimed:
—Damn it! How dare you ignore me? Who do you think you are?
Paying no attention to Majito's outburst, Geto stared at him and asked:
—What do you mean you eliminated all the sorcerers? What era do you come from?
Kaito tilted his head slightly, thoughtful.
—I don't know for sure. I never knew the name of the era in which I lived.
It was Yogo who answered in his deep voice:
—We are in the 21st century, more than two thousand years after the beginning of the modern calendar.
Kaito watched him carefully before muttering:
—I see... So the 21st century. It's strange... Is it possible that more than two thousand years have passed? Well, it doesn't matter what era it comes from.
Geto intervened in a more serious tone:
—When I searched for information about you, I only found two names: the Cursed God and the First Curse That Ever Existed.
Kaito let out a slight smile as he replied:
—I see... So that's why you brought me here. Well, I confirm it. I am both: the First Curse and the Cursed God.
Geto looked at him intently, a spark of curiosity in his eyes.
—You are the First Curse... So tell me, how were curses created?
Kaito narrowed his eyes, his voice icy:
—Why would I answer you? Give me a good reason.
Geto kept his composure and replied:
—I gave you a body. Isn't that reason enough to answer my questions?
Kaito just remained serious and answered:
—I see... So you think I'm just like these curses. Let me tell you something: I used to be human. Don't compare me to them.
Geto sighed, disappointed.
—If you don't plan on telling us anything, that's fine. Majito, Yogo, Hanami, prepare for battle.
The aforementioned smiled in satisfaction, except for Hanami, who seemed more cautious. The three of them adopted attack stances, ready to face the newly awakened one.
Kaito watched them with a mix of interest and disdain.
—I have to thank you for this body. It's perfect; I can now use all my abilities without limitations. But are you sure you want to fight? You'll die. You're too weak.
The comment ignited a fury of curses, and Yogo spoke angrily:
—You are very arrogant. Beings like you always think they are superior.
Kaito simply stared at him intently, unfazed. Majito, for his part, smiled maliciously and disappeared in the blink of an eye. He reappeared at Kaito's side, his fist enlarged and filled with cursed energy, striking hard in the direction of the newcomer.
—BOOM! —The rumble resounded like thunder, raising a dense cloud of dust that destroyed the earth.
Majito laughed confidently as he spoke:
—You are very weak!
However, as the cloud of dust began to dissipate, Majito and the others froze as they watched the scene. What had stopped Majito's powerful blow was not Kaito, but a huge sword that had shot out from a golden ripple in the air.
Kaito glanced at him and spoke calmly:
—You move fast, but you need to hit me to win.
Majito leapt back just as the greatsword completely exited the portal, falling to the ground with a crash.
—BOOM!
The impact shook the earth.
Kaito looked at the sword calmly, raised his hand slightly, and the weapon began to levitate, floating in front of him gently. A slight smile crossed his face as he commented:
—I never used to use this because it was complicated to handle... But now, it's too easy.
With a flick of his wrist, the golden sword began to spin in the air, tracing precise arcs as if it were alive.
The people present looked at him in astonishment. Especially Geto, who frowned as he thought:
—That must be their cursed ritual... Controlling objects and storing them. Hm, it would be better to wait and analyze it before acting.
Kaito sent a swift forward motion with his hand, and the sword immediately responded, suddenly appearing in front of the curses and Geto.
—Dodge! —Geto shouted.
Everyone jumped in different directions to avoid the attack. At that instant, a powerful rumble resounded.
—BOOM!
The trees around them were destroyed in a single slash, and a cloud of smoke rose, enveloping the scene.
When visibility returned, Kaito had already swung his sword again. It spun rapidly and appeared right in front of Majito, who had no time to react. The sword cut him in half with one clean movement.
For a second, there was silence. But Majito, with a crooked smile full of amusement, joined the two halves of his body together as if nothing had happened.
—Ha! — Majito laughed maliciously. — Not bad, but you'll need more than that to finish me off.
Kaito watched the process with interest, analyzing his opponent's movement.
"So you separated your body before the sword cut you... Very clever," he muttered, as he made the sword return to his side, slowly spinning around him.
Majito narrowed his eyes, more attentive now.
Kaito raised his hand and spoke, with an air of amusement in his voice:
—Not bad. They're fast... But how about we speed up?
Suddenly, Kaito's energy intensified. His eyes changed, and the sclerae turned completely black, giving him an even more intimidating appearance.
Behind Kaito, ten golden portals began to open, each releasing a new weapon: spears and swords of different shapes and sizes, all glowing with an ominous energy.
Those present felt the growing pressure in the atmosphere.
Yogo was the first to react. His volcano, lit on his head, burst into flames as he made spheres of lava appear in his hands.
Majito, with a mischievous smile, let out a laugh of excitement.
—This will be fun!
Hanami concentrated, and in an instant, thick branches emerged from the ground, rising like living snakes ready to strike.
Geto stood still, his expression serious and calculating, as he prepared for combat.
The tension in the air was palpable. Allies and enemies were ready to face each other, and Kaito, with a slight smile, took position, surrounded by the floating weapons that awaited his signal.
"Come on..." Kaito said, his voice deep and firm. "Show me how far you can go."
The weapons surrounded Kaito, moving slightly as if they were extensions of his own body. With a subtle movement of his hand, a new portal opened, and from it emerged a longer than normal katana. Its deep black blade gleamed with silent menace, while its black hilt with gold accents added a majestic and lethal air.
Kaito calmly took the katana, moving it lightly in the air. The simple gesture released a gust of wind so powerful that it forced those present to step back, covering themselves from the impact.
"This is just the beginning," Kaito said with a cold smile, disappearing from his spot in the blink of an eye.
Suddenly, he appeared in front of his enemies, slashing accurately towards them. The people present reacted quickly, dodging the attack by a hair's breadth. Majito, excited, transformed the structure of his hands into powerful moving blades and launched a direct attack towards Kaito.
The weapons floating around Kaito moved in unison, blocking Majito's blades with a loud metallic sound that echoed across the battlefield. Wasting no time, Majito adapted his body, sending out more attacks in rapid succession, but each one was stopped by the dancing weapons.
Behind Kaito, Yogo silently appeared, a sphere of boiling fire in his hands. Without hesitation, he threw it straight at him.
BOOM!
The explosion filled the air with a cloud of smoke and debris, but from the chaos emerged several of Kaito's weapons, firing towards Yogo. Yogo reacted quickly, summoning cursed insects that crashed into the weapons, generating another deafening explosion.
BOOM!
Yogo smiled in amusement.
—It seems you are not as invincible as you say.
However, Kaito appeared in front of him with overwhelming speed. Before Yogo could react, he received a powerful kick that sent him flying into the nearby trees.
CRASH!
The impact was brutal, and the trees buckled under the force, leaving Yogo buried in the rubble.
Suddenly, curses in the form of giant worms emerged from the ground, launching themselves towards Kaito with ferocity. Unperturbed, he lightly moved his katana.
One cut was enough.
The curses were split in two, showering the ground with blue blood as dust rose, momentarily covering Kaito.
Kaito calmly lowered his katana, his gaze scanning his enemies.
—If that's all they have... it's going to be a disappointing fight.
Several roots emerged from the ground and quickly launched themselves at Kaito, but he reacted with agility, jumping from branch to branch and remaining suspended in the air. The roots, however, moved erratically, like whips cutting through the air at high speed.
Kaito's floating weapons moved with precision, stopping each attack with their strength and speed. With a simple swing of his katana, Kaito cut the roots into pieces.
At that very moment, Yogo summoned his cursed insects from the ground, sending them towards Kaito. But with a quick and accurate swipe of his katana, Kaito reduced them to nothing.
Yogo watched , amused.
—Not bad, but... can you keep up?
He snapped his fingers, and the insects exploded in a burst of energy.
BOOM!
Kaito was thrown out from under the explosion, landing gracefully on the ground. In the blink of an eye, Yogo formed a sphere of fire, and Hanabi caused the roots to sprout again, aiming at Kaito in fury.
Kaito, unfazed, watched the scene. Two golden portals appeared in front of him, one pointing towards Yogo and the other towards Hanabi. From each portal, two golden magic staffs emerged, shining with intense energy.
With a quick gesture, Kaito pointed towards Yogo. One of the staffs pointed at Yogo, who quickly charged up a fireball. The other staff pointed at Hanabi, who channeled her power into the wind, creating a storm of sharp blades that cut through everything in their path. Roots were torn apart, and the air was filled with invisible slashes that tore apart the forest around them.
Simultaneously, Yogo's fireball shot towards Kaito, who didn't hesitate to send out his own offensive. The two forces collided in the air, creating a huge sphere of fire that began to grow at an alarming speed, engulfing everything around it.
BOOM!
The impact caused a deafening explosion, disintegrating the ground around the collision. Trees turned to ash and the entire forest began to collapse under the intensity of the explosion.
As chaos broke out, Kaito stood motionless in place, surrounded by his floating weapons that spun with deadly precision. The firelight reflected off the golden blades, creating an intimidating sight.
When the dust from the explosion cleared, Kaito was still standing, untouched. His katana emanated a faint dark aura as an indifferent expression crossed his face.
"Is that all?" he asked coldly, moving his sword slightly.
Majito was the first to launch himself into the attack again. His arms, transformed into spinning blades, quickly extended, trying to cut Kaito into pieces.
The golden weapons swirling around Kaito intercepted each blow with pinpoint precision, colliding against the blades in a show of sparks.
In the blink of an eye, one of the golden weapons pierced through the air, cutting Majito in half. However, the bastard only laughed as his body instantly regenerated.
Before Majito could counterattack, Yogo and Hanabi joined the offensive. Yogo launched a flurry of fireballs that exploded in all directions, while Hanabi summoned a web of roots that moved like snakes, seeking to ensnare Kaito.
With a wide arc of his katana, Kaito created a cutting wave that split the fireballs and destroyed the roots in a single movement. Still, Hanabi intensified her attack; the roots regenerated rapidly and attacked from unexpected angles.
Dagon , though silent, did not waste the opportunity. From a dark puddle that appeared behind Kaito, cursed aquatic creatures emerged, attempting to grab him and tear him apart with sharp teeth.
Kaito reacted effortlessly. Two of his golden weapons pierced the creatures, reducing them to a pool of cursed blood. He then turned his katana towards Dagon and unleashed a cutting wave that split the ground around him.
BOOM!
The attack left a deep crack in the earth, forcing Dagon to retreat.
—Interesting... they work well together. But it's not enough.
Kaito raised a hand, and the golden portals around him began to multiply. There were dozens of them now, and from each emerged glowing weapons: spears, axes, swords, and daggers, all pointed at their opponents.
—How about this?
With a wave of his hand, the weapons were launched towards those present like a lethal rain.
Geto raised a cursed barrier to protect himself, while Hanabi formed a defensive wall with roots. Yogo created a wave of magma to counter the attack, and Majito tried to deflect the weapons with his blades.
Despite his efforts, the pressure was overwhelming. Each impact weakened his defenses little by little.
Suddenly, Kaito appeared behind Yogo, his katana glowing with a dark aura.
—You lack speed.
Before Yogo could react, a clean cut went through him, sending him flying towards the ground with force.
BOOM!
"Damn it!" Majito roared, lunging at Kaito in fury. This time, his arm transformed into a giant claw, seeking to crush him.
Kaito stopped the attack with his katana, while another of his golden weapons pierced Majito's arm, forcing him to retreat.
Geto watched carefully, looking for an opportunity to intervene.
—It's stronger than I thought... but there has to be a weak point.
Kaito turned his gaze towards him, as if he had read his thoughts.
—Are you looking for an opportunity to attack me, sorcerer? Don't worry, it will be your turn soon.
Geto gritted his teeth and raised a hand, summoning a massive curse from the ground: a grotesque, multi-armed, multi-jawed creature that roared loudly before lunging towards Kaito.
However, Kaito remained unmoved. With a simple swing of his katana, the creature was split in two, its cursed energy dissipating into the air.
"Is that all you have?" Kaito asked, his voice cold and contemptuous.
The crowd, though exhausted, once again prepared to attack. This time, they worked in perfect synchronicity, seeking to take advantage of every angle to overcome Kaito's speed and power.
Kaito, holding his katana firmly, looked at them seriously.
—Very well... show me what you are capable of doing.
The weapons Kaito had thrown began to fade into golden dust, and in that instant, everyone rushed at him, beginning a melee. Kaito defended himself with his katana, blocking each attack with precise movements while throwing out quick kicks and slashes.
The fight was kept at an intense, yet manageable pace, with each curse using their cursed abilities in an attempt to outmatch Kaito. However, he countered each technique with ease, stopping even his opponents' combination attacks.
Despite everyone's efforts, Kaito didn't receive a single hit. Geto, for his part, invoked more and more curses to stop him, but it was useless.
Several minutes passed in this frantic exchange, until Kaito spoke, his voice calm but full of intent:
—It's time to pick up speed.
In the blink of an eye, Kaito moved with superhuman speed. With a single clean slash, he wounded Yogo and Hanabi, sending them flying into the air. Then, he spun towards Majito and, with a direct kick to the face, sent him crashing to the ground with a deafening crash.
BOOM!
Yogo and Hanabi rolled on the ground, hitting rocks and debris in the forest until they lay down. They both tried to get up, but their movements were slow and painful. They glared at Kaito in fury and frustration, knowing they couldn't match him.
Geto, observing the situation, had his curses pick up Yogo and Hanabi, placing them next to him to protect them.
Majito, on the other hand, tried to get up. But before he could react, Kaito appeared in front of him and delivered another devastating kick, sinking him into the ground.
BOOM!
A cloud of dust rose as Majito spat out blood. With a groan, he thought,
"Damn... he's touching my soul... he's already noticed."
Kaito, slowly emerging from the cloud of dust, spoke in a cold but calculating tone:
—It was a good fight. They helped me adapt to this body… but I'm still incomplete. I need more time. Still, it was interesting.
The curses, wounded and exhausted, glared at him with hatred. Majito, trembling, struggled to his feet and launched himself at Kaito with a scream of fury.
However, before he could reach his target, Kaito appeared in front of him again and kicked him in the face, sending him flying through the air as more blood poured out of his mouth.
Kaito turned to the others and declared, in a dismissive tone:
—The fun is over. Now I want to see the world... I want to see what it's become.
He took a few steps forward, ignoring his opponents.
Suddenly, Majito, from behind him, shouted in desperation:
—Domain Expansion: Mahayana Prison !
Kaito quickly turned around, but it was too late. A dark dome emerged from Majito, expanding and creating a barrier that enclosed Kaito within. Within the domain, countless deformed hands appeared from all directions, making up the grotesque scene of Majito's technique.
The air grew thick as Majito's domain expansion was complete, encapsulating Kaito in a space where the cursed man's rules would be absolute. Inside the dark dome, the atmosphere was oppressive, filled with grotesque shapes and misshapen hands that seemed to emerge from every direction.
Majito laughed in amusement, his voice echoing with a hint of triumph:
—This is your end. I have expanded my domain. Now you will not be able to escape.
Kaito calmly observed his surroundings, his analytical gaze studying every detail.
"Domain expansion?" he said, his tone curious. "In my time, this didn't exist. It seems the world of sorcery has advanced a lot since then."
Majito's confidence wavered for a moment, but he quickly smiled mischievously.
—It doesn't matter if you know him or not. Inside this place, my attacks always hit home. Here, I am invincible.
Kaito looked around carefully and, after a moment's thought, nodded.
—I see... So it works that way.
Majito, enjoying his advantage, extended a hand towards Kaito.
"Passive Mutation!" he exclaimed, activating his technique to modify his opponent's soul.
However, Kaito barely flinched. Although Majito seemed confident that his attack had succeeded, nothing happened.
"What the...?" Majito gritted his teeth in disbelief. "How can you possibly resist?"
Kaito smiled slightly, with a calmness that infuriated Majito even more.
—Your technique is interesting. By touching the soul, you try to modify it. However… you lack the energy to transform mine. Besides, I possess items that protect me against such attacks. Even if your blows hit and I can't dodge them, your technique has no effect on me. I'm sorry, but it won't be enough.
Majito stepped back slightly, frustrated and beginning to lose his confidence.
Kaito raised his katana horizontally, holding it with one hand, and looked directly at Majito.
—The way they now use cursed energy is completely different from how it was handled in the past. It's like they're two different worlds.
A dark energy enveloped the blade of his katana as Kaito assumed an attack stance.
—Sword technique, item skill... Delete.
With a quick and precise movement, Kaito made a horizontal slash. The energy released was devastating. Everything within the domain was split in two: the grotesque hands, the dark structures, and even Majito, whose body was split cleanly.
BOOM!
The impact was so powerful that it not only destroyed the expansion of Majito's domain, but the slash pierced everything around it. The energy wave shattered the veil covering the area, fragmenting it into pieces that fell like broken glass. In the distance, the effect of the slash left a huge scar on the landscape, destroying everything in its path.
Kaito stood, his katana still glowing with a dark aura as he watched the fragments of the domain and the veil fall around him.
"A clean cut," he said in a calm voice, as the residual energy of his technique dissipated into the air.
Majito, divided and defeated, barely managed to stammer as his body tried to regenerate without success.
Everyone present was shocked after the destruction of the domain. Kaito, showing no signs of exhaustion, turned around and spoke calmly:
—I will let you live. You brought me back, and you also offered me valuable information in this fight. Now I want to observe humanity, decide if it deserves to be saved, destroyed... or simply left to its fate.
Geto looked at him intently, still processing what had happened. Finally, he broke the silence:
—Tell me... how did curses come about? Why do sorcerers exist?
Kaito watched him for a moment before answering, a mix of disinterest and superiority in his tone:
—Why do sorcerers exist? Hmm ... Well, sorcerers are simply people with superior abilities. As for curses... they are the result of what they themselves have brought about.
With those words, Kaito stopped releasing his imposing energy. His eyes, though still a deep red with golden highlights, returned to normal, and his gaze lost the fierce glow it had displayed during the fight. Then, without saying anything else, he disappeared from the place.
Silence reigned for a moment until, one by one, Yogo, Hanami, and Dagon fell to the ground, exhausted. Geto let out a deep sigh before muttering:
—So curses exist because sorcerers created them... Makes sense.
Yogo, still lying on the ground, spoke with difficulty:
—That bastard was strong... He could be on par with Satoru Gojo . But it's not like we used all our power. Although... his blows hurt like no other.
Hanami and Dagon nodded weakly, their expressions reflecting both exhaustion and respect for Kaito's power.
Geto looked at Majito, who was slowly trying to put his body parts together. His breathing was heavy, and the injuries he had suffered made it difficult for him to move.
—Majito? Are you okay? —Geto asked seriously.
Majito, breathing heavily, managed to sit up slightly. Although he was still affected by Kaito's cut, a crooked smile appeared on his face as he muttered:
—That guy... he's not like the others.
Geto crossed his arms and replied.
—That guy was different, the way he fought by showing a path, but when you followed the path you realized it was a trap.
Majito turned his head towards Geto, smiling maliciously.
—And what do you suggest, leader? Because that guy, Kaito, is in a different league. If he wants, he can wipe us all out.
Geto closed his eyes, meditating for a moment. Then he opened them, his gaze determined:
—Kaito said he wants to observe humanity. That gives us time. Time to understand him, to learn from him, and perhaps... find a way to defeat him if necessary.
Yogo snorted, frustrated.
—Defeat him? We barely survived this encounter. What makes us think we can win?
Hanami intervened, her voice calmer:
—The key is in what he said. He is incomplete. He has not yet regained his full power. If we prepare before he does, we might have a chance.
Majito smiled, showing his teeth as he ran a hand over his regenerated face.
—So what do we do? Do we wait and watch like him? Or do we attack him before he finishes strengthening?
Geto shook his head.
—We won't do either... for now. First, we need answers. To know more about who Kaito is and where he comes from. Only then can we act.
The group nodded, though some were more reluctant than others. The cursed energy around them was beginning to calm, but a sense of danger lingered in the air.
"If Kaito seeks to decide the fate of humanity," Geto concluded, "then we will decide Kaito's fate."
Atop a skyscraper, Kaito stood motionless, looking out over the modern city below. His trench coat blew in the wind, as did his white hair, which shone in the dim moonlight. His expression was calm, but his red eyes with golden glints reflected a mix of curiosity and analysis.
As he looked out over the vast city, Kaito silently pondered.
"This world has changed so much," he murmured to himself, letting the wind carry his words. "So many things I don't know about…"
A slight shadow of melancholy crossed her face as she looked up at the sky.
"I thought that by cursing these lands, the world would slowly be destroyed," he continued, his tone a mixture of frustration and surprise. "But…"
His eyes focused on a distant point, beyond the visible horizon.
—There is a barrier. A barrier that blocks the spread of curses. It seems that humans and sorcerers have found a way to protect themselves. They have isolated the curses, making them invisible to ordinary eyes.
A soft sigh escaped her lips, as a spark of interest flashed in her gaze.
—To think that someone had enough power to erect something like that... But that barrier is incomplete, different from the ones I used to create. It's not perfect, and whoever put it up must be alive. Only he can keep it active.
Kaito looked down at the brightly lit streets of the city. His tone became more introspective, almost compassionate.
—The world is not as I expected. I need information… to understand how this society works. Maybe, just maybe, I will give them a second chance. After all, the beings I really wanted to destroy are already dead.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, as if searching for something inside himself.
"I need the memories of this body," he whispered. "To know who I was, to adapt and move among them without arousing suspicion."
Little by little, images began to flow into his mind. Fragments of a human life flooded into his consciousness: the childhood of a privileged child, the warmth of a wealthy family that soon fell apart. His parents died leaving him in the care of his grandfather, who, in turn, lost the family company, leaving the young man alone and with an overwhelming responsibility. Despite a weak will and a brittle spirit, that man had fought, moved only by instinct, to rebuild the family legacy and turn it into an international company among the best in the world.
Kaito opened his eyes, now filled with renewed understanding.
"I understand. This soul was fragile, but its determination was enough to sustain it in this world." She smiled slightly, a grimace between admiration and pity. "Now I have its memories, its knowledge… from the moment it was born until the present."
He turned to the edge of the building and took a step forward, letting the wind surround his figure.
—It's time to go home.
With a nimble leap, Kaito disappeared into the shadows of the city, determined to enter a world that, though strange, promised answers.
He moved quickly through the illuminated streets, taking in every detail of modern civilization. Eventually he came to an imposing building, one of the most luxurious apartments in the city. From the sidewalk, he looked up, observing the structure carefully.
"So this is my home now," he murmured, in a thoughtful tone.
Before entering, he stopped in front of a window that reflected his image. For a few seconds, he analyzed his appearance, noticing the details that revealed him as something more than human.
—I need to change my appearance.
Kaito moved his hair, arranging it in the style he remembered from the original body. Then, he looked at his eyes, whose pupils shone with a reddish glint that couldn't go unnoticed.
He extended a hand in front of his face and, concentrating on his ability, channeled a red energy that sparked like electricity. The energy began to draw interlocking patterns, forming glasses with an elegant design: golden frames and dark lenses.
Satisfied, he put them on and said:
—This object will hide my eyes. No one will see what I really am.
With a neutral expression, he began to walk towards the entrance of the building. Upon arriving, he observed the main door and the automatic lights that illuminated his path.
—If I'm not mistaken, I own this place.
He entered the lobby, where luxury and modernity blended in an atmosphere that reflected exclusivity. The people there noticed him immediately. Their glances turned to him, first curious, then respectful, as if they recognized someone important.
Kaito watched them, assessing their expressions, and was about to speak when a middle-aged man, dressed in an impeccable suit, hurried over. With a deep bow, he addressed him:
—Mr. Shiro Tanaka, welcome.
Kaito looked at him with a slight smile, quickly assuming the identity of the man whose body he now inhabited.
"Thank you," he replied in a calm but authoritative voice, which made the man straighten up immediately, showing a mixture of respect and diligence.
Kaito continued walking towards the elevators, closely followed by the man, who seemed to be waiting for orders or instructions. As he walked, he analyzed every detail of his surroundings, memorizing gestures and attitudes that could help him maintain his facade.
"I'll go and rest. It's already quite late. We'll talk early tomorrow," he said finally, his tone indicating that he was not prepared to tolerate any delays.
The man nodded immediately, bowing before taking his leave.
—Of course, Mr. Tanaka. Although it seems like you've had a makeover... your hair? You've dyed it, right?
Kaito entered the elevator and, as the doors closed, he calmly replied:
—I wanted a makeover. And it seems that white suits me well.
The man nodded again. Kaito added before the doors closed completely:
—Tomorrow prepare everything. We will visit the company early.
"I'll have everything ready, Mr. Tanaka," the man replied diligently, bowing slightly as the elevator closed.
Kaito looked at his reflection in the shiny metal doors, his expression impassive. With a slight sigh, he thought about what awaited him the next day.
"Time to catch up with this world," he muttered to himself as the elevator carried him toward his new life.
As the elevator doors closed, the people present began to talk in whispers about the CEO's new look.
—That hair color... suits him, don't you think?
—Yes, it gives him a more sophisticated air. I've never seen him so... imposing. —It's definitely an interesting change.
As murmurs filled the lobby, Kaito, inside the elevator, pressed the button that would take him to the top floor. The device began to move smoothly, and Kaito took advantage of the moment to observe his reflection in the polished metal walls.
—A well-kept body, luxurious surroundings... it seems this man knew how to live —he thought to himself.
After a few moments, the elevator arrived at its destination. The doors opened with a soft " ding ," revealing a spacious, modern penthouse that took up the entire floor.
Kaito walked out, taking a good look around the place. The finishes were luxurious: marble floors, huge windows offering a panoramic view of the city, minimalist furniture and technology integrated into every corner. As he walked, the lights turned on automatically, illuminating his path with warm and welcoming tones.
He sighed, assessing his surroundings.
—Living like a king... it seems my host knew what he was doing —he murmured with some irony.
He crossed the main hall and headed for the master bedroom. Upon entering, he was struck by its spaciousness: a large bed with impeccable linens, a sober but elegant decor, and a completely glass wall that offered a stunning view of the city lit up at night.
Kaito entered the bathroom, where he found an equally luxurious space: a glass-walled shower, marble finishes, and gold fixtures. He stripped off his clothes and let the warm water fall over his body, relaxing his muscles.
"This world..." he murmured as steam filled the bathroom, "has changed more than I imagined."
After his shower, he dressed in some comfortable clothes he found in the closet and lay down on the huge bed. The apartment lights automatically turned off, leaving only the faint glow of the city filtering through the large windows.
From his position, Kaito watched the lights of the buildings and the vehicles moving through the streets like an endless river of energy.
—A society that is constantly advancing... will it be able to sustain itself or will it collapse under its own weight? —he asked himself quietly before closing his eyes.
As the city continued its nightly bustle, Kaito fell into a deep sleep, preparing for what the new day had in store for him.
