Kyudai Genso Academy

Chapter 3: The First Lesson

The early morning sun bathed the vast courtyard in a gentle warmth as first-year students convened for their inaugural lesson at Kyudai Genso Academy. There are five classes.

In Class A, students demonstrated unwavering determination and teamwork, consistently achieving top results. Their dedication to preserving both excellence and reputation was clear.

Class B, while not as celebrated as Class A, was home to talented individuals eager to showcase their abilities. Often seen as the underdogs, their resilience and creativity led to surprising triumphs.

Class C, marked by a diverse group of students, brought an element of unpredictability to the competition. They employed unconventional strategies, emphasizing innovation and collaboration to accomplish their goals.

Class D showcased a strong sense of camaraderie, with students uplifting one another and acknowledging that their combined strength surpassed what any individual could achieve.

Class E, the lowest academically ranked, consisted of students brimming with untapped potential, determined to demonstrate that greatness can emerge from any corner of Kyudai Genso Academy.

+At Class D

In the classroom, Asahi-Sensei stood out as a teacher with a remarkable combination of strength and charm. His commanding presence could instill a hint of anxiety even in the most confident of students.

With a chiseled jawline and a playful glint in his eyes, he resembled the ideal hero from an epic tale.

"Alright, class," Asahi-Sensei declared, his voice resonating with authority while teasing a sense of mischief.

"Today, I will share the details as a lesson, but the training will be up to you," he explained while pacing around the room. "Did you know that your guardian can become your greatest unique weapon?"

"They transform into magical weapons, symbolizing our strength, flexibility, and enchantment," one student eagerly raised her hand to reply.

"Great answer! Now, what's more?" He smiled and encouraged further participation.

"And if we use our blood to enhance the weapon, it will become more powerful!" Suddenly, the boy exclaimed.

Asahi-sensei was taken aback by this suggestion; it was a hidden technique once practiced by ancient warriors. However, that method is now lost, and it carries significant risks...

"Argh!... Um... That... Well, that's merely from ancient texts, so don't take it too seriously." He attempted to reassure the students with a smile.

"What's your name, young man?" Asahi-sensei inquired.

"Oh! I'm Inamori Kaito from Sato Homestead," the boy replied with a grin. His smile hinted at his cheerful disposition, but there was a cleverness about him, much like that of a sly fox.

The teacher smiled and continued his class, he wrote down the lesson on the whiteboard.

Amidst all this, Jin is also in Class D. He sits in a chair higher than Kaito's table, gazing at Kaito. When Kaito turns to look at him, their eyes lock in a moment of tension, but then...

"Whoa! Hold on, it's only the first day, ya know?" a third student suddenly interrupts their standoff. He places his hand on Jin's shoulder and says;

"Oshitani Kenya, nice to meet ya!" He beams with a bright smile.

"Ooh... the boys at this school are so friendly and adorable," the girls in the class murmur, instantly smitten by Kenya.

"Hello!" He noticed that he waved at the group of girls.

The girls chuckled softly, their cheeks tinged with a rosy hue as they responded to the greeting. Kenya's relaxed charm appeared to lift the mood, creating a more inviting and less daunting atmosphere in the classroom.

"Popular boy, huh?" Jin remarked.

"What? Ya know how girls say you need to smile at them? That's why you're not so popular with them," he joked in a lighthearted manner.

"So, you two are friends!" Kaito exclaimed.

"Just related," replied Jin, not Kenya.

They exchange fierce glares at each other for a moment before turning their attention back to the teacher's lesson.

+At Class E

At the same time, in Class E, the students meet with the intimidating teacher, Nakamura-sensei. They behave like the stone statues cursed by Medusa.

Her presence alone seemed to cast a shadow over the classroom, and the students barely dared to breathe, let alone speak.

Nakamura-sensei surveyed the room with an authoritative gaze, demanding respect. The tense atmosphere was filled with anticipation as if something significant was about to happen.

"Welcome to Class E," she began, her voice as sharp as a blade. "You may have heard whispers about this class being the lowest ranked, but let me assure you, this is where potential is forged into strength."

Her words hung in the air, a challenge to the students who sat before her. Some shifted nervously in their seats, while others straightened their backs, determination igniting a spark in their eyes.

"In this classroom, you will learn the importance of resilience and perseverance," Nakamura-sensei continued, her tone unwavering. "It is not about where you start, but where you are determined to go."

Despite her stern demeanor, there was an underlying encouragement in her message—a promise that with hard work and dedication, they could rise above any expectation.

"Here, you will face trials that will test not only your abilities but also your character," she stated, her gaze steady and unyielding.

"Remember, greatness often emerges from the most unexpected places."

As Nakamura-sensei concluded her introduction, a faint smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, a rare gesture that hinted at her belief in the student's potential. The class sat in silence for a moment, absorbing her words, before a sense of resolve settled over them.

One brave student raised a hand, breaking the stillness. "Sensei, what will our first lesson be?"

Nakamura-sensei's smile broadened a glint of approval in her eyes. "Your first lesson will be in discovering your own capabilities. Prepare yourselves, it starts now."

Sei simply listened and maintained a neutral expression while the other students appeared frightened by the teacher.

"So, I'm the only one in this class," she said, speaking to herself.
