legend of planet X

Chapter 5: chapter 5 journey to the phoenix town started

After the last of the half-gorilla, half-wolf creatures collapsed to the ground, struck by precise red arrows that pierced their skulls, Jasper stood frozen in confusion. The battlefield was eerily quiet now, save for the crackling of the fire the creatures had disturbed earlier.

"What just happened?" he muttered to himself. His eyes darted around, searching for an explanation.

Suddenly, five figures emerged from the shadows of the bushes. Clad in sleek black uniforms with a star symbol emblazoned at the center, they moved with an air of authority.

Jasper tightened his grip on his weapon, his instincts flaring. "Who are you?" he demanded. "And how did you kill those things so easily? You all seem... powerful."

One of the figures stepped forward, a man with sharp features and a confident smirk. "Relax, my friend," he said. "I'm Leon. We're members of the Star of the Darkness Guild. We travel together to survive on this hostile planet. As for why we're here... we heard the howling of the Purple Howlers and decided to investigate."

"Purple Howlers?" Jasper asked, tilting his head.

Leon chuckled, his tone light but condescending. "The creatures that attacked you just now. Half-wolf, half-gorilla, covered in thick purple fur. I'm guessing you're new here, which explains why you don't have an *Aly Template* yet."

Before Jasper could respond, Leon pulled out a sheet of paper with a glowing red mark resembling a bolt of lightning in its center. He handed it to Jasper.

"You're lucky I've got a spare," Leon said. "Focus your Ivon energy on the symbol and think of any alien you've encountered. The template will show you all you need to know."

Jasper hesitated but followed Leon's instructions. He concentrated, channeling his energy into the template while picturing the alien he had defeated earlier.

The paper shimmered, its surface morphing into a detailed illustration of the alien. Text appeared beneath the image, describing the creature:

Jasper's eyes widened as he read the information. "This... is incredible," he said. "How is something like this possible?"

Leon smirked. "Welcome to Planet X, my friend."

Jasper's gaze lingered on the note about the rare *Yen Power*. "Wait... if it's that rare, how did I manage to get it?"

Leon's smirk faltered. "You... what?"

Without a word, Jasper placed his hand on a nearby rock and focused his energy. "Yen Release!"

A faint hum echoed as Jasper withdrew his hand. At first, the rock looked untouched, but when Leon applied the slightest pressure, it crumbled into dust.

"Damn," Leon muttered, his eyes wide. "You're insanely lucky. Everyone dreams of acquiring Yen Power, but it's practically impossible."

"Lower your voice," a blonde-haired woman in the group snapped. "And are you planning to explain everything to him right now? Let him figure some things out on his own."

Leon laughed sheepishly. "Fair point. Oh, right! I forgot to introduce the others." He turned to Jasper. "What's your name, by the way?"

"Jasper," he replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, Jasper," Leon said, gesturing to the group, "this is Jessica." He pointed to a girl with brown hair and slightly dark skin.

"Hi, Jasper," Jessica greeted with a polite smile.

"She's Natasha," Leon said, nodding toward the blonde-haired woman.

"Nice to meet you," Natasha said with a subtle smirk.

"And this is Alex," Leon continued, pointing to a boy with blue hair and a boyish face.

"Yo!" Alex said cheerfully. "Youngest in the guild!"

Finally, Leon pointed to a man with a dark complexion and a stoic demeanor. "And that's Mr. John, the oldest and most... uh, experienced."

"Yeah, whatever," Mr. John muttered.

Jasper nodded politely. "Do you know of any place where I can stay? I've been looking for shelter but haven't found anything."

Natasha's face lit up. "Why don't you come with us to Phoenix Town?"

"It'll be fun!" Alex chimed in, grabbing Jasper's arm.

Jasper hesitated. "Phoenix Town?"

Leon nodded. "It's a large settlement at the top of a mountain. A safe haven for humans who can't return to Earth. There are merchants, rare crystals to boost your power, and... well, there's also a legend about a treasure hidden beneath the town. But the journey isn't easy."

After a moment of thought, Jasper agreed. "Alright. I'll come with you."

Later that night, the group set up camp.. they decided they will guard the tent in in pair they will change the pair after every 4 hour. They use lucky draw for deciding who will go and guard that camp first. Jasper and Natasha were paired for the first shift. They stood side by side in silence, the green moon casting an ethereal glow over the forest.

Natasha broke the silence. "So... how long have you been on this planet?"

"Uh... just since this morning," Jasper stammered, his nervousness evident.

Natasha chuckled. "Relax. I'm not going to bite."

They fell into a more comfortable conversation until Natasha's gaze drifted to the moon. Her voice softened. "Sometimes... it feels like this planet wants to remind me of things I'd rather forget."

Her tone grew heavier, laced with sadness. "The green moon... the cold air... it brings back memories I've tried to bury."

Jasper noticed her shoulders trembling slightly. He hesitated but placed a reassuring hand on her arm. "Natasha... I don't know what you've been through, but you're not alone anymore."

She turned to him, her eyes glistening.

"Whatever happened, it doesn't have to define you," Jasper continued. "You can be stronger than the pain. Use it to become someone who can face whatever comes next."

For a moment, Natasha's walls crumbled. She whispered, "You remind me of someone... someone I lost."

Jasper tilted his head. "Who?"

Natasha quickly shook her head, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. "It doesn't matter."

As their shift ended, Natasha lingered for a moment before saying, "Thank you, Jasper. For... everything."

Jasper watched her retreat into her tent, feeling a strange warmth in his chest.

As the group began their journey the next morning, Natasha found herself walking closer to Jasper than necessary. Every so often, their shoulders brushed, and she caught herself smiling despite the treacherous path ahead.

When Jasper stumbled over a loose rock, Natasha instinctively reached out to steady him. "Careful, clumsy," she said, her voice teasing but warm.

"Thanks," Jasper replied, chuckling.

Natasha bit her lip, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. Her heart beat faster than she liked, and she silently cursed herself for the unfamiliar feelings stirring within her.
