Chapter 89: The Beginning of the 5th Loop

What went wrong? I was supposed to properly connect Vivi-chan (that’s what she told me to call her) and Quentin-sama. I never even considered that those two years of hardship would be for nothing. Yet here I am, condemning the graduation party with a light attribute character. And she, talking about seeing Luca-sama and the implementation of a new character, or something about affection points. If that place isn’t the cause of the loop, then what is it?

No, but once it’s begun, there’s no turning back. I’ve traced it back to Arcart. I’m making progress. Let’s move forward positively. Prepare myself, have breakfast in the cafeteria, and off to battle.

In the morning, I handled the new students safely, and in the afternoon, I went shopping right away. Crafting tools, scrap magic stones, and that infamous fish cake board. I’m used to this. By using this, I’ll turn them into flame magical tools. But seriously, is there even a point in attending classes anymore? Well, if I don’t get credits properly, I won’t be able to take the regular exams. To graduate early, I need to take classes.

I took various classes at Arcart. Skills I acquired were scouting and archery. I also learned about light and dark attribute scriptures. As for other achievements, there’s alchemy. Urrica taught me some, but her pharmaceutical techniques are for advanced users. I found simpler ones for beginners, which were helpful in understanding the process. Another noteworthy one is magic circle studies and summoning arts. Magic circle studies were similar to the “Tower” research, but Arcart’s unique approach was interesting. And summoning arts, completely romantic stuff. There were debates between using teleportation skills to summon monsters from a certain location and using magic elements to construct monsters. The former is like summoning demons, and the latter is like how dungeons create monsters. The latter was similar to alchemy and had an interesting way of thinking. Of course, these are just theoretical discussions and have not yet been realized.

Yes, teleportation skills. Surprisingly, I had both light and dark attributes. However, just like creating golems with earth attributes, the acquisition conditions are extremely strict, and it’s become somewhat legendary whether it’s “really obtainable.” But, if I level up in the dungeon and reproduce it with magical tools, I can finally travel through teleportation!

But that’s still a story for another time. First, Saturday, starting from catching slimes.

Stopped by my parents’ house, got a pickaxe, a sieve, and a ladle. Then, got on a shared carriage to the neighboring village. Coming along the stream to the cave, it’s already like my own home. Enter the dungeon, scoop up stones from the puddles into the sieve, separate them with magical stones outside, and crush them. Scoop, crush. Scoop, crush. When my level reaches 3, put all points into INT, except for DEX, which I max out for hunting mice. Burn them with Flame Fire Spread, burn, burn them all. No mercy. I can do it. I’ve repeated this many times already.

It’s strange, even though I think I’m doing the same thing, my lap times keep improving every time. By lunchtime, the minimum goal of level 7 was achieved. This time, I got a bit greedy and raised it to level 9.

Tomorrow is dragonflies. Since there are 9 groups of 9 monsters in the monster house, to shoot 36 stone bullets with a shotgun, a minimum of 36 INT is required. Let’s go with 40 just to be safe. Then, max out DEX for accuracy. Now that my inventory is unlocked, let’s bring back plenty of magical stones. They’ll always come in handy no matter how many.

On the way back, return the pickaxe and others at my parents’ house. Then, buy a suitable knife at the weapon shop, and boots and a cloak at the armor shop. I’m fine without leather armor since I had too much left over from the previous loop.

Sunday, October 6th. Stop by the Adventurer’s Guild, register as an adventurer, then head to the beginner’s dungeon. Nothing particularly noteworthy happens, and I easily make my way to the monster house. As soon as I enter the room, I shoot the shotgun and turn the wings into feathers and coins before I hear the flapping. Enter, shoot, store, exit. Enter, shoot, store, exit.

Last time, I didn’t have nearly enough feathers. I needed them for Luca-sama’s share too. Since my level will increase eventually no matter what, this time, while I’m in Marol, I’ll prioritize dragonfly hunting. I worked hard until evening, and today’s count was 100.
