Loop Mob – A Mob’s Interdimensional Travel Caught in a Loop

Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: Appraisal Skill Once Again

Chapter 90: Appraisal Skill Once Again

Now, the long-awaited Appraisal Skill. Let’s get it right away. The condition for unlocking the Appraisal Skill was to “appraise and examine 1,000 different items.” And to think that appraising meant just bringing them into the inventory once and tapping to view the overview. When I found that out in the previous loop, I collapsed in shock on the floor. But there are no blind spots for me now. I brought in everything in my dorm room and got them in a flash with a tap-tap!

Or so I planned.

Even if I brought in everything in my room, it was only about 200 items. Well, that’s true. There wouldn’t be so many different types of items just for a single student. At that time in the previous loop, I had gone quite far in organizing my parents’ warehouse. Oh, the world is so cruel. What should I do? Should I go back home again and work there on the weekends?

—No, it’s not over yet. It’s not over.

Starting from Monday, I began bringing in and returning items from around the deserted areas of the campus. With this, I might be able to manage without wasting precious weekends. I put all the unused skill points into scouting, raised it to level 5, then secretly unlocked the warehouse and stored the items inside. It feels like I’m doing something wrong, but tidying up while disposing of items is at least some form of atonement. Although there were many of the same items, the number of items increased by about 100 each day. Oh well, I sometimes think it might be better to help at home, but weekends are precious dungeon attack times. It’s nice to be able to do it on weekdays.

And then, after school on Thursday. While secretly moving books and equipment in the corner of the library, it happened. A plus sign appeared next to the book section in the inventory. No way.

When I tapped and opened the details, I could view them one by one! I didn’t need to go around the warehouse!

If anything, just the items in my room alone might have amounted to quite a number of items. Damn it! Oops, my language is getting rough. Although Alexi-kun is quite well-bred, it’s been 12 years since I regained my memories from my previous life. I feel like I’ve been considerably culturally contaminating him.

Let’s regain focus. I easily obtained the Appraisal Skill. That’s a relief. The next loop will be easier. No, there won’t be a next loop!

I feel emotionally unstable lately. Even though I was sure I could go last loop. Although I’ve been called naive and easy-going by others, and I thought I was quite resilient to stress myself, it seems to have been quite damaging. But there’s no point in breaking down now. Don’t underestimate a corporate slave who has survived in this stressful society.

When I start thinking about unnecessary things, it’s best to immerse myself in something. At night, I work part-time in the dormitory, making magical tools and enchanting. And on the weekends, it’s back to dragonfly attacks. I submit a night-out permit and build a small house in the beginner’s dungeon to stay overnight. I unleash all my frustrations on the dragonflies, and thanks to that, in about 2 days, I’ve gone about 300 loops, and my level is 22. The stock of wings exceeds tens of thousands. Alright.

For now, I’ll enchant it onto a ring made of holy silver alloy. It won’t be in the way if it’s on a ring, and I can even hang it around my neck with a leather cord. It might be okay to enchant it on shoes or armor like before, but it’s troublesome when something better comes along later, and I end up stuck with the Akitsu equipment until the end. The strong ones will come out later. For now, let’s just consider this as an item for flying.

Now, one more thing evolved in this loop. That is the improvement of magical tools. In the magic circle studies at Arcart, research was underway to consolidate the similarities of multiple magic circles and activate two or more effects at once with one circle. As someone who knows the concept of games and can see the status screen, I thought it would be almost impossible, but it’s good to challenge it. And inspired by that, I thought about it too. It would be nice if multiple skills could be used with one magical tool.

At first, I thought about something like a pistol where different skills would be activated by spinning a revolver. I think it’s pretty cool, but it’s obvious that if people in this world found out about it, they would ask a lot of questions. If I were seen with a pink head in Arcart, it would be even more troublesome.

So I gave up on the gun shape and tried installing multiple circuits into the traditional baton-tact type. I fitted magical stones into the cork of the baton and used holy silver for the core to send magical elements to the tip as before, but I embedded different holy scriptures of separate skills on the sides and activated different skills depending on the switch connected. In terms of construction, it’s like a pencil dice, but in terms of concept and activation image, it’s like a three-color ballpoint pen. With this, the number of staffs was significantly reduced. And while I had hesitated to enchant each individual staff until now because it seemed wasteful, from now on, I won’t hold back. After all, if enchantments are applied to the staff, skills will be boosted explosively. I’ve defeated a dragon by adding water attributes to Luca’s staff, but if the attributes match, it becomes even more powerful.

Not all the staffs are complete yet, but on Saturday, October 19th, and Sunday, October 20th, I went to the intermediate dungeon of amphibians. Since all the monsters here have water attributes, I attacked with the dominant attribute of wind. I started harvesting at the frog monster house while slashing with the wind cutter. The monsters here are all troublesome ones that cause abnormal status, but the materials they drop are useful. If applied to weapons, it adds abnormal status, and if applied to armor, it reduces or nullifies abnormal status. For example, if it’s a cobalt poison dart frog, it can either add poison or reduce or nullify poison. Furthermore, by combining four or more materials, you can randomly add all kinds of bad statuses or reduce/nullify all bad statuses in general.

The ring I gave to Bruno last loop also had these materials applied. As for Rose-chan, I can’t ignore her even in this loop. I’ll make about three and give them to her this time. And while I’m at it, I’ll make staffs for Stone Bullet and Rock Wall too.

And speaking of enchantments, there’s Camille-senpai’s spear. Last time, I applied advanced dungeon materials and it ended up creating a remarkable spear, causing quite a stir. This time, I’ll stick to intermediate ones.

Spear of Poison Dart Frog
→ Attack Power 55, Weight 2, Poison Attack

By the way, Camille-senpai successfully defeated a bear on a later date, but the collected bear meat was contaminated with poison. There were rumors that the killer bear had been poisoned for some reason and had come down from the mountains in a frenzy. Unlike the maze monsters that turn into items and coins when defeated, I forgot that the meat of surface monsters can also be eaten. I’m sorry.
