The Empire’s precious Grade-A male zerg, He Qin, was attacked by star pirates on Earth, involving the head of the Qi family. The conflict between the two males made the Empire’s Zerg sigh and pay more attention to He Qin’s itinerary and information.
The female zergs initially thought that Major General Rhys, being older and past his prime breeding period, would have a hard time breeding offspring with the Grade-A male zerg.
However, not long after their marriage, a photo of the male zerg and the Major General shopping together in the nursery district spread across the Zerg star network. This caused a wave of wailing among the female zergs who were confident they could usurp the Major General’s position.
Afterward, some radical female zergs posted comments on the star network, stating that unless they saw He Qin himself make an official announcement, they would still consider becoming the male’s female servant or slave their ultimate life goal.
Two days ago, a message on the star network completely shattered the female zergs’ fantasies. He Qin finally opened a verified star network account and posted his first message: “My female lord is four months pregnant with an egg. Once we reach the central star system, we will go to the Imperial Hospital for a prenatal check-up. Please do not gather or crowd.”
He wanted the female zergs to face reality and simultaneously declare his ownership of Rhys, hoping to reduce the fiery gazes constantly surrounding him.
Contrary to his intentions, the release of this information caused those females and sub-females without a male lord at home to gather at the Imperial Hospital early in the morning.
“Isn’t the Major General’s belly too big? It looks like he’s about to give birth.”
“I agree, it looks more than four months along.”
“Lord He Qin, look at me!”
“Lord, you must be happy!”
He Qin and Rhys, without any special disguise, were immediately recognized as they got off the aircraft.
A crowd of Zerg surrounded them, “Everyone, please step back and make way for the Major General and me, okay?” He gently suggested while accepting gifts from the sub-females.
“Ahhh, Lord He is so gentle!”
Gentleness did not bring understanding, but rather more frantic crowding.
The irrational thinking of the Zerg was beyond common comprehension; they would rather be hated by the male zerg than give up their inner desires.
All the females and sub-female zergs with gifts wanted to hand them directly to the male zerg. As a result, the outer circle of Zerg pushed against the inner circle, with some even pressing against Rhys.
In the chaos, He Qin noticed Rhys’s pained expression and suddenly released a mental power wall, pushing the pressing Zergs to the side.
“Everyone, if you get any closer, don’t blame me for being rude.”
Anger proved more effective than gentle persuasion.
The male zerg’s stern expression deterred the female Zergs from approaching further, and they quietly stood in place, watching the two leave.
On the way to Dr. Buya’s private consultation room on the third floor, He Qin maintained a low pressure around him. With a cold-faced Major General following him, staff and other female patients kept a two-meter distance.
He Qin was like a human bug repellent from a certain brand, with the female Zergs wisely clearing the way for him.
“Major General, long time no see.” Dr. Buya’s smile froze for a moment.
Upon entering, Dr. Buya was shocked by Major General Rhys’s significantly protruding belly. It was indeed much larger than a typical four-month pregnancy. Could there be more than one egg in there?
He Qin helped Rhys lie down on the prenatal examination bed, “Dr. Buya, have you seen a case like this?” He pointed to the red stripes on Rhys’s abdomen.
On Earth, a doctor would have told a pregnant woman these were normal stretch marks from the growing belly. But He Qin had researched, and with female Zerg’s regenerative abilities, they were not supposed to have ‘stretch marks’ during the entire pregnancy.
“I’ve never seen such a case before. I’ll need to refer to the medical books passed down from my mentor; there might be such a case in there.”
Dr. Buya’s medical skills were not learned from the Imperial Medical Department. He was a noble descendant whose mentor was a physician serving the royal family, having far more extensive knowledge than ordinary doctors.
Many rare conditions are recorded in that ancient medical book passed down through generations.
He Qin was more worried that these pregnancy anomalies in Rhys might indicate a problem with the child.
Unable to understand Dr. Buya’s procedures, he stood by Rhys, silently stroking the female zerg’s arm to convey strength and comfort.
Dr. Buya’s tense expression suddenly relaxed. “Don’t worry, the egg is very healthy.”
Fortunately, no problems were found, and the examination results were surprisingly good.
Dr. Buya put away the instruments, turned to He Qin, and almost reverently said, “Congratulations, this is a male zerg egg. In a few months, you will have a male zerg offspring.”
There hadn’t been a new male zerg birth among the Zergs for nearly a decade, though the number of female zerg offspring had steadily increased.
This year, they had found the young male zerg lost on Earth, and soon, another male zerg would be born, which would be a major event on the entire zerg planet.
“Male Lord.” Rhys could hardly believe it. Had he really conceived a precious male zerg offspring for his master? He looked up at the male zerg with a confused gaze.
“Yes, it’s true. You did great.” He Qin caressed Rhys’s silver hair, his eyes filled with affection.
He Qin didn’t care if the egg was male or female. He only thought that Rhys’s surprised and delighted expression upon hearing the egg was a male was worth cherishing. Seeing such a complex expression on Rhys’s face was rare.
“Lord He, after you return, you need to control the frequency of mental power release. The egg’s large size is mostly due to absorbing too much mental power. If this continues, the Major General will have a hard time during delivery,” Buya reminded.
“Does that mean, simply put, this little guy is over-nourished?” He Qin furrowed his brows.
“Exactly. You only need to maintain weekly close contact with the egg; daily is not necessary.” Dr. Buya organized the medical advice into an electronic document and sent it to the Major General and the male zerg.
Typically, a male zerg’s daily mental power transmission wouldn’t cause the egg to grow too large. But since He Qin was an A-grade male zerg with very mature mental power, as a new father, he felt compelled to give all his love to the child, resulting in excessive daily mental power transmission.
“Regarding the red stripes on the Major General’s abdomen, when did they appear? Did you notice any other anomalies?”
After thinking for a while, He Qin clapped his hands and said, “They appeared about two days ago. The stripes become more vivid at night.”
Why do these special and strange things always happen around Lord He Qin?
Dr. Buya silently noted this information, hoping to find some references in the ancient medical book.
“One more thing.” Rhys put on his coat and walked over to the male zerg.
Under Dr. Buya’s astonished gaze, Rhys still unbuttoned the male zerg’s coat, although he was reluctant to let another female zerg see the entire upper body of his master.
Rhys took out a small knife and cut away the fabric covering the skin on the male zerg’s shoulder blades.
The same red patterns appeared on the male zerg’s shoulder blades, but what shocked Dr. Buya even more was the palm-sized wings on those red patterns.
“Major General, are those fledgling wings on His Highness’s back?” Buya swallowed hard, his voice trembling.
He couldn’t believe it—had the male zerg actually grown wings?
“These patterns appeared at the same time as the ones on my abdomen. You can take a photo, but…” Rhys’s gaze was as sharp as a knife, “I don’t want anything we’ve discussed today to be known by a fourth person. Understand?”
“Understood, understood, understood. I’ll keep my mouth shut,” Dr. Buya replied, leaning against the cabinet to avoid collapsing to the floor.
As expected of the Major General—one sharp glance, and Buya almost thought he’d die in that small room.
After taking a few steps, He Qin suddenly remembered something important and returned to Buya’s clinic, leaving Rhys in the corridor.
“Master, what did you ask Dr. Buya?” The male zerg came out with a bright smile, his chubby cheeks almost frozen in that expression.
“Do you really want to know?”
“Yes.”
He Qin’s smile turned crafty. “I asked him if, with the egg being over-nourished, we can still engage in marital activities.”
“And, and what did he say?” Rhys’s face turned red, and he swallowed deeply, unable to resist asking.
“I’ll tell you tonight, how about that?”
The male zerg’s lips brushed against Rhys’s earlobe, his breath warm against his ear. Rhys, nervous, clutched at his clothes.
When He Qin and Rhys returned, several female zergs were frantically chasing the little leopard on the lawn.
It looked like they had been chasing it for a long time, and a new batch of soldiers had just been swapped out. Three or four panting female zergs stood outside the gate.
“Little Guai, come here.”
It was a familiar voice and scent! The little leopard stopped running and darted to Rhys’s side.
“You little rascal, where have you been to get so dirty?” He Qin crouched down, patting the dirt off the little one’s dirty spots. Though his words were stern, his actions were very gentle.
“Major General, your pet started running around the yard as soon as it got off the starship. Probably because we were chasing it, it ran into the bushes and got dirty,” a Zerg soldier explained anxiously from behind the fence.
The Major General entrusted him with the task of taking care of the pet, but he failed. For a soldier, this was a complete failure.
“It’s okay, you can go back now. Everyone else can go too. We’ll handle things here.”
He Qin sent all the unfamiliar female zergs away and removed the collar from around Little Obidient’s neck. “You can play in the yard, but don’t run out, or I’ll put you back in the cage, understand?”
To the Little Leopard, Rhys was the angel who provided food and rewards, while He Qin was the demon who caused trouble and meted out punishment—an entirely unsympathetic demon!
The little guy gave an unwilling “aww” and trotted off happily.
After the long journey, He Qin and the female zerg lay down together and soon fell asleep.
A gentle breeze blew in through the half-open window, scattering Rhys’s silver hair across He Qin’s cheek. Feeling a tickle, He Qin burrowed his head into the female zerg’s neck and tightened his embrace around Rhys’s waist.
Exhausted from playing, the little leopard entered the house through the door left open by the male zerg, cleverly turned on the kitchen faucet, and drank its fill of water.
Following its owners’ scent, the little one went to the master bedroom on the second floor and pushed open the door with its head.
Seeing its owners entwined together, it made no sound and quietly lay down on the carpet beside Rhys’s side of the bed, closing its eyes and enjoying the moment of tranquility.
