Chapter 28: Chapter 28: The Sky City

Han Yu chuckled softly as he patted the planetary furnace before him. Normally, when forging, he would use no more than 30% of its capacity. But Uru metal was no ordinary material—clearly, even at 50% power, it wasn't enough to melt it.

"Alright, let's go full power!"

With a faint smile, Han Yu cranked up the furnace. This was his first time seeing it operate at 100% capacity.

As the furnace roared to life, even though Han Yu had already set up a protective barrier, the intense heat caused visible spatial distortions, threatening to shatter the barrier.

"This isn't good. If this continues, the temperature might break my spatial protection!"

Raising both hands, Han Yu channeled countless specks of green energy from his palms, reinforcing the barrier.

Only then did the Uru metal begin to melt, but at an excruciatingly slow pace. Confirming that the barrier was stable and estimating the time required for the metal to fully melt, Han Yu turned his attention to crafting other components.

It took Han Yu three full days to forge Ultron's new body. On the third day, the workshop door suddenly swung open, and Wanda called out, "Han, there's news about Ultron!"

Hearing her words, Han Yu's eyes gleamed with excitement. He popped a Senzu Bean into his mouth and chewed. "So he's finally making his move."

Over the past few days, Han Yu had been focused on forging Ultron's body in the workshop, while Wanda kept herself entertained outside, occasionally monitoring online activities for any signs of Ultron or the Avengers. Whenever there was news, she'd report back immediately.

As Han Yu stepped out of the workshop, Wanda asked, "Should I come with you?"

"Sure," Han Yu replied with a smile. "You can even lend the Avengers a hand. It's good to build some goodwill—we might need it later."

Just as they were about to leave, a ripple appeared in the air beside them, and a figure stepped out. Seeing Han Yu and Wanda ready to go, the newcomer grinned. "Heading out? Where to? I'm coming too!"

Han Yu rolled his eyes. "Pietro, you're finally back. I thought you'd decided to settle down over there."

The person before them was Pietro, also known as Quicksilver, who had been lounging in the One Piece universe for some time.

Even Pietro felt a bit sheepish. Originally, he'd agreed to work for Han Yu, but he ended up spending all his time exploring another world. Scratching his head, he said awkwardly, "Well, it's... a form of training! You wouldn't believe how exhilarating it is to sail the seas with them for over a month!"

Wanda looked surprised. "A month? How could it be a month? You've been gone less than a week."

"What? That's impossible," Pietro replied, puzzled. "I clearly remember boarding Ace's ship on December 1st. When I came back, it was already January."

"Alright, stop overthinking it," Han Yu interjected. "Time flows differently in alternate dimensions. Sometimes their world is faster, sometimes slower, and sometimes it's parallel. It's not unusual. Next time you see them, a few days here might mean a year has passed for them."

As the owner of the interdimensional shop, Han Yu explained calmly, and both Wanda and Pietro nodded hesitantly, accepting this bizarre truth.

"Perfect timing," Han Yu said. "Now that Pietro's back, let's all go together."

"Where are we going?" Pietro asked.

"To recruit some newcomers!"

With that, Han Yu stepped onto the balcony. Without any railings to hold him back, he lightly leaped onto the edge of the wall. Green Lantern energy surged from within him.

Wanda followed, mimicking his movements. However, her Green Lantern energy was interwoven with streaks of red.

"Wait for me!" Pietro shouted, quickly catching up.

He wasn't lying when he said he'd been training. Han Yu was about to use his Green Lantern energy to carry Pietro along, but to his surprise, Pietro released his own Green Lantern energy, tinged with a silvery sheen. It seemed his time in the One Piece world hadn't been wasted—he had clearly been through plenty of battles.

Otherwise, Quicksilver wouldn't have become so proficient at using the Green Lantern ring Han Yu had given him as a communication tool.

Han Yu smiled with satisfaction. Quicksilver mastering the Green Lantern ring was a good thing. Initially, when Han Yu brought Wanda and Quicksilver into his fold, Quicksilver was little more than an afterthought—a bonus addition.

Perhaps Quicksilver himself understood just how much weaker he was compared to his sister. If he continued idling around, the gap between him and Wanda would only grow wider.

Looking into the distance, Han Yu laughed heartily and declared, "Alright, Green Lantern Squad, move out!"

As his words fell, three streams of light, each in different colors, shot into the sky, heading toward their destination—Sokovia!

In Sokovia, Ultron had used the Vibranium he had stolen earlier to construct underground devices that harnessed Vibranium as their energy source.

These devices were evenly distributed beneath Sokovia. Once activated, they generated immense propulsion forces, causing three-quarters of Sokovia's city to rise into the air.

Due to the unique properties of the Vibranium devices, the soil beneath Sokovia adhered tightly together, preventing the floating city from disintegrating into loose debris.

Ultron's plan was to turn Sokovia into an "artificial meteor." Such a massive "meteor" crashing to Earth would wreak catastrophic and irreversible damage to humanity.

The Avengers had already arrived in Sokovia. While trying to figure out how to stop the island's ascent, they were also tirelessly rescuing the remaining trapped citizens.

"Cap, the enemy numbers are increasing!"

Hawkeye's voice came through the Avengers' shared channel. At that moment, the Avengers were locked in a fierce battle in Sokovia.

They had to juggle rescuing civilians and fending off relentless attacks from Ultron's robotic soldiers.

"Minimize direct confrontations!" Captain America ordered, hurling his Vibranium shield. It ricocheted off several objects, smashing through multiple robotic soldiers.

Yet, just as the destroyed robots fell apart, green threads emerged from their shattered limbs, stitching the pieces back together. The robots "revived."

"Damn it!" Captain America exclaimed. "These robots can self-repair. They're practically unkillable. We have to find Ultron quickly. Does anyone have his location?"

"No, not yet," came the reply.

Hearing this, Captain America's heart sank further. It was clear they were at a disadvantage. Though the enemy's individual attack power wasn't overwhelming—he could easily take on ten of them at once—the sheer endlessness of their numbers posed a dire threat.
