Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Durable and Dangerous

Seeing Han Yu silently hesitating to detonate the island, Ultron spoke up to remind him.

Han Yu snapped out of his thoughts. Overthinking wouldn't help now—his priority was to deal with the floating island immediately.

The two flew away from the Sokovia island. At its core, the Green Lantern energy erupted in a massive explosion, reducing the entire island to fine dust, leaving not a single shard large enough to harm anyone. It scattered into a haze of particles in the sky.

On the ground, people gazed up at the vast cloud of dust with mouths agape. The sight was unnerving—an island that large being blown to fragments would have been shocking enough, but to see it disintegrated into such fine powder sent shivers down their spines.

With a wave of his hand, Han Yu unleashed an immense flow of Green Lantern energy. The energy enveloped all the dust, compressing it into a small "asteroid." The Green Lantern energy continued to shrink and condense the dust into a dense, compact sphere.

If left unaddressed, the dust could still pose a serious threat to the population below.

As he compressed the dust, Han Yu gestured with his other hand. Two streaks of light flew out from the haze: one was the yellow-glowing Mind Stone, and the other was his Green Lantern sub-ring.

A system notification chimed in his mind:

"Ding! New Marvel item detected: Mind Stone. Collect two Infinity Stones to receive a reward. Gather all six for a grand prize!"

"Every two Stones grant a reward? Rewards from Infinity Stones must be extraordinary!"

Han Yu narrowed his eyes. The Infinity Stones were among the most powerful artifacts in the Marvel Universe. Whatever reward came from collecting all six would undoubtedly be phenomenal.

Suddenly, he felt a burning gaze on him. Turning his head, he saw Ultron staring longingly at the Green Lantern sub-ring.

The Green Lantern energy Ultron had used earlier in the fight against Ultron Prime had come from the reserves in his body, leftover from when Han Yu forged his new body. While it would last for a while, it was a finite resource. Ultron genuinely appreciated the utility of the Green Lantern ring, but as Han Yu's subordinate, he couldn't demand to keep it.

"Here, take it. But don't misuse it," Han Yu said, flicking the ring toward Ultron.

"This? Really? I'll use it responsibly!" Ultron grinned widely, catching the ring with enthusiasm. "Thank you, Boss!"

Han Yu chuckled and turned his attention back to the massive dust cloud in the sky. Half a minute later, it had been compressed into a dense dirt sphere slightly larger than his palm.

He weighed the small dirt ball in his hand, deciding not to discard it. Instead, he stored it in his system space. Despite its size, the sphere contained the entire mass of Sokovia's floating island, including a significant amount of metal.

It appeared deceptively small, but it weighed tens of thousands of tons. If thrown, anyone unaware of its true nature would think it was just a harmless dirt ball—until it crushed them under its immense weight.

"Let's go home," Han Yu said.

With the battlefield cleared, the two transformed into streaks of light, soaring into the sky and vanishing.

"Second floor, there's an empty room to the right—first door. You'll stay there from now on," Han Yu said after returning to the general store, assigning Ultron a room.

At that moment, Wanda and Pietro emerged.

"Hey there, newbie! Name's Pietro," said Quicksilver with a smirk. "I got here before you, so you can call me 'Big Brother.'"

When Pietro saw Ultron, he greeted him with a grin. Since Han Yu had brought Ultron in, that made him a friend in Pietro's eyes—though Pietro couldn't resist taking a jab at him right away.

Ultron cast him a sidelong glance but said nothing.

"Hey! What's with the side-eye?" Pietro snapped. His temper flared at Ultron's lack of response, feeling slighted by the dismissive look.

"I only have one boss," Ultron replied flatly. "You? Not a chance."

Pietro bristled. The only person he respected was Han Yu, and no one else, no matter who they were, could earn his acknowledgment.

"Come on, let's fight. If I don't teach you a lesson, you'll keep acting cocky!" Pietro shouted. Having spent time among the rowdy pirates, his personality had grown bolder, and he loudly declared his intent to brawl.

Ultron glanced at Han Yu, who shrugged indifferently. Taking that as permission, Ultron understood that fighting was fine as long as they didn't go overboard.

And so, still a bit annoyed from being roughed up by Han Yu earlier, Ultron followed Pietro upstairs to the storage room for a fight.

Han Yu couldn't help but laugh at their hot-headedness. As long as they didn't take it to a life-or-death level, he wasn't going to intervene.

Wanda, however, rolled her eyes at Han Yu and said, "You're not going to stop them?"

Han Yu smiled and slipped an arm around Wanda's slender waist. "It's fine. Pietro's been getting a bit full of himself since gaining Green Lantern energy. Letting Ultron humble him a little might bring him back down to earth. Ultron won't go too far."

As the two chatted, they headed upstairs. The moment they reached the second floor, Pietro came scrambling out of the storage room. His cheeks were noticeably red and swollen. Spotting Han Yu, he rushed over and cried out, "Han! Give me another artifact! I need to get stronger!"

Seeing Pietro's sorry state, Han Yu immediately guessed the outcome—Pietro had clearly lost.

"You already have the strongest artifact," Han Yu replied. "The Green Lantern energy you're using is as powerful as it gets. Right now, you've barely scratched the surface of its potential. Spend less time drinking with Ace and the others, and more time training. If you do, getting stronger will be a piece of cake."

Embarrassed, Pietro scratched his head awkwardly and, without saying another word, bolted back to his room to tinker with something.

Ultron emerged from the storage room shortly after, addressing Han Yu with a curious expression. "Boss, how did you manage to create a space that big inside?"

"You'll figure it out eventually," Han Yu said with a smile, waving off the question. "So, what happened in there just now?"

Ultron chuckled. "The moment he walked in, he started attacking me relentlessly. I didn't even move—I just stood there. After a while, it got boring, so I tripped him with my foot. He fell flat on his back and ran off."

Han Yu wasn't surprised by the result. Ultron's body was forged from Uru metal, which had inherent resistance to magical energy. Regular Green Lantern energy couldn't do much damage to such a body unless it was augmented with other elements.

On top of that, Pietro was a speed-focused assassin type. He was no match for Ultron, who was both incredibly durable and capable of dishing out serious damage—a true tank.

The image of Pietro fleeing in defeat amused Han Yu, and even Wanda struggled to hold back her laughter. Since it was all within the family, losing here didn't really matter. Better to stumble among allies than face disaster against enemies.

"Alright, go back to your room and get acquainted with the body I made for you. I need some rest," Han Yu said, dismissing Ultron.

He also sent Wanda back to her room, saying, "There are some things I need to handle on my own."

Wanda, understanding that Han Yu sometimes needed to work alone, didn't press him. She nodded obediently and left.

Once alone in his room, Han Yu pulled out his magical conch and muttered to himself, "Compared to the timeline in my memory, has this timeline undergone some kind of change?"
