Chapter 7: Chapter Seven: Destiny on the Horizon

(Author's note thank you k_ziggy for a power stone)

The alarm blared at precisely 5:00 AM, breaking the stillness of Kaito's room. His body moved almost automatically, stretching and getting ready for his morning run. The brisk air greeted him as he jogged through the familiar paths of the city, the world around him just beginning to stir awake.

The beats of The Pharcyde's Runnin' played through his headphones again, setting a steady rhythm as he pushed himself. Thoughts of the previous night's adventures with Spider-Man lingered in his mind, and he couldn't help but smile.

Back home, he showered, got dressed, and grabbed his uniform for his Saturday shift at McDonald's. The routine was mundane, but it kept him grounded amidst the chaos of his double life.

As he walked to work, Kaito's path crossed a scene that immediately caught his attention. A boy, no older than 15, was being chased by a group of bullies. The boy's dark hair was messy, and his backpack was slung haphazardly over one shoulder as he ran for dear life.

Kaito recognized him instantly. It was Billy Batson, a kid from his high school.

Billy darted toward a subway station, his desperation evident as he tried to evade the bullies. One of the older kids was closing in fast, but Kaito stepped in, subtly tripping the pursuer with a well-placed telekinetic nudge.

The bully hit the pavement, swearing as his friends helped him up. "Watch where you're going!" one of them snarled, glaring at Kaito.

"Sorry about that," Kaito said, his tone laced with sarcasm.

While the bullies regrouped, Billy slipped onto the train, disappearing into the tunnels.

Kaito watched the train depart, a strange feeling tugging at the back of his mind. Something about the moment felt... significant. Shaking it off, he continued on his way, the encounter already fading from his thoughts.

After his shift at McDonald's, Kaito decided to unwind at the local skate park. He swapped his work shoes for his trusty sneakers, grabbed his skateboard, and headed out.

The skate park was buzzing with energy. Kids zipped up and down ramps, laughter and the sound of wheels grinding against concrete filling the air. Kaito performed a few tricks, relishing the freedom that came with each jump and turn.

As he caught his breath near the edge of the park, a man in a sharp black suit approached him. His clean-cut appearance and calm demeanor immediately set him apart from the usual crowd.

"Kaito," the man said, a small, knowing smile on his face.

Kaito narrowed his eyes, instantly on guard. "Who's asking?"

"Phil Coulson," the man replied, extending a hand. "I work for S.H.I.E.L.D."

Kaito crossed his arms, ignoring the handshake. "Never heard of it."

Coulson chuckled. "You're not as good at playing coy as you think. We know about your abilities, Kaito. And we could use someone like you."

"Use me?" Kaito repeated, feigning disinterest. "That's not really my style."

"I'm not asking you to join S.H.I.E.L.D.," Coulson clarified. "I'm here to offer you a chance to be part of something bigger—the Avengers."

Kaito raised an eyebrow, leaning against his skateboard. "Avengers, huh? Sounds like a fancy club for people with egos the size of the Empire State Building."

Coulson remained unfazed. "Maybe. But they're also the ones who stand between the world and its destruction. I think you'd fit in."

Kaito smirked, playing hard to get. "I'll think about it."

"Take your time," Coulson said, handing him a card. "But don't take too long. The world moves fast."

As Coulson walked away, Kaito studied the card. A simple S.H.I.E.L.D. logo with a direct number printed on it.

"Avengers," he muttered to himself, pocketing the card. "This day just keeps getting weirder."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Kaito sat on the edge of the skate park, staring at the card. The world was changing around him, pulling him deeper into its chaos.

With a sigh, he stood, gripping his skateboard. "Guess I'd better get used to it."

(Author's note I will not make a chapter until you guy's decide if Kaito should or shouldn't join the Avengers before I do post chapter 8 I recommend you guy checking out Marvel: I am the bastard son of stark by king_0INSOMATIC because some elements of these story are linked and next chapter something involving this two story will happen so check out Marvel: I am the bastard son of stark unless you want it to be a surprise)
