Chapter 9: Chapter Nine: Clash of Titans
(Author's note thank you chaos02 for the power stone)
Kaito tightened the black belt around his tan baggy training pants, his mind laser-focused. His tight-fitting black shirt clung to his frame as he grabbed Dragon-Bone, the weapon radiating an almost primal energy.
The air outside was heavy with tension. Manhattan wasn't ready for what was coming.
With a smirk, Kaito grabbed a portable speaker, connected it to his phone, and blasted "Can't Feel Myself" by Playboi Carti. The music roared through the city, echoing off the towering buildings. The rhythm pulsed in sync with his heartbeat as he launched himself out of the apartment window.
The streets below were in chaos. Civilians ran for cover, and cars screeched to a halt, piling into one another in a desperate bid to escape.
In the middle of the destruction stood Tomura Shigaraki, his hand resting on the crumbling remains of a skyscraper. He looked up, his eyes narrowing as he spotted Kaito descending.
Shigaraki wasn't just a villain in this world—he was like Kaito, a reincarnate from Earth. Worse still, he was the bastard son of Tony Stark, his corrupted mind fueled by bitterness and resentment.
"You're the one they call Kaito, right?" Shigaraki's voice was calm, almost mocking. "Let's see if you're worth my time."
Kaito landed on the street with a deafening crash, his energy surging like a tidal wave. "Let's skip the introductions, shall we? You're destroying my city, and I'm not a fan of that."
Shigaraki grinned, raising his hand. The ground beneath them cracked and decayed as his Decay Quirk pulsed outward.
The fight began with a thunderous clash.
Shigaraki lunged forward, activating Air Cannon, sending a devastating shockwave toward Kaito. Kaito countered with Psychokinesis, creating a shimmering barrier that shattered on impact but absorbed the brunt of the attack.
The street exploded beneath their feet, sending debris flying in every direction.
Kaito retaliated with a burst of Electrokinesis, arcs of lightning crackling as they shot toward Shigaraki. But Shigaraki activated Reflect, the electricity bouncing off and striking nearby buildings.
"Is that all you've got?" Shigaraki taunted, launching himself into the air with his Unnamed Flight Quirk. He used Springlike Limbs to close the distance in an instant, his fist glowing with energy from Heavy Payload.
Kaito blocked with Dragon-Bone, the impact sending shockwaves through the city. "Not even close," he muttered, pushing Shigaraki back with a surge of Pyrokinesis, flames erupting around them.
The two clashed again and again, each blow destroying more of Manhattan.
Shigaraki unleashed Rivet Stab, sharp tendrils of metal shooting from his hands. Kaito dodged with inhuman speed, using Hydrokinesis to create water shields that deflected the deadly projectiles.
"You're holding back," Shigaraki said, his voice dripping with disdain. He activated Black Lightning, bolts of dark energy coursing through the battlefield.
Kaito gritted his teeth, focusing the full power of Mob Psycho. His aura flared, a brilliant golden light engulfing him as he lifted an entire building with Telekinesis and hurled it at Shigaraki.
Shigaraki countered with Unnamed Repulsion Quirk, the building disintegrating mid-air.
The two rushed at each other, fists colliding with enough force to create a shockwave that levelled the surrounding blocks.
As the fight raged, Kaito began tapping into the full extent of sakai k's abilities. His attacks grew sharper, more precise, and devastatingly powerful. With Thoughtography, he anticipated Shigaraki's moves, dodging every attack with eerie precision.
Shigaraki's Danger Sense activated, but even it couldn't keep up with Kaito's relentless assault.
"You're just like me," Shigaraki sneered, panting as he wiped blood from his mouth. "A reincarnate. But I'm stronger. I've always been stronger."
Kaito smirked, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. "Strength doesn't mean a thing when you don't know how to use it."
Shigaraki roared, unleashing his full power. His quirks combined in a terrifying display of destruction—Air Cannon, Radio Waves, and Decay merging into a single cataclysmic attack aimed at Kaito.
Kaito raised his hand, his aura exploding outward. With a calm breath, he activated Cryokinesis, freezing the air around him, followed by Electrokinesis and Hydrokinesis, combining the elements into a devastating counterattack.
The two forces collided, creating a massive explosion that lit up the skyline.
When the dust settled, Manhattan was in ruins.
Kaito stood amidst the rubble, breathing heavily. Shigaraki lay a few feet away, battered but alive.
"This isn't over," Shigaraki spat, struggling to stand. "You can't stop what's coming."
"Maybe not," Kaito said, his voice firm. "But I'll be ready for it."
Shigaraki vanished into the black mist, retreating into the shadows.
As the city's sirens grew louder, Kaito looked around at the destruction. This fight was only the beginning, and he knew it.
Turning to the still-playing speaker, he picked it up and walked away, the song fading into the distance as he prepared for whatever came next.
