Marvel: President Stark

Chapter 82: Chapter 82 - Kim-possible & Stormy Night II

"Me too, but you know what I love more? Not being fat. I'm not just rich, I'm also pretty damn handsome—helps when you're trying to impress a lady over dinner." Tony advised him on how to become a playboy. "Here's the thing, buddy—abs are directly proportional to babes. The first one gets you the second… when you've got the bank account to back it up, of course."

Kim put down the burger and nodded strongly. "I will… I will get abs! I have the money and the power. I just need abs."

Sure buddy.

"That's right."

Sometimes, the best geopolitical move was just to gaslight the other guy.

The next day, Tony got back on Air Force One and headed back home. However, his second visit to North Korea saw the deployment of trillions of tiny nanobots, spread throughout Pyongyang from the most secured facilities to the deepest ones.

He already knew every single nuclear facility that Kim had and also knew how to disable each warhead. Now, it was only a matter of time before some General or diplomat met a Chinese or Russian diplomat, transferring those Nanobots.

Was it spying? It was.

But it was also his job as the President. Europe, most of Africa, the Middle East, and most of Asia were already on board with his plan to create a space defense program. Russia and China were the toughest nuts to crack.

To get to them, he was willing to do anything.

"Congratulations, Sir. You have now become a true politician."

"Thanks, Jarvis. But… are you messing with me?"

"I would never, Sir."

Tony chuckled and relaxed back on the big seat. "Start drafting the offer. If Iran—or any other nation—says no to my shiny, world-saving, forever green energy Arc Reactors for their power grid; well, let's just say they're probably shopping for something a little more… explosive."

"Sir, that might raise conflict of interest allegations. Endorsing Stark Industries' tec—"

"Who's even in the running to build what I've got? Hammer? Yeah, well, last I checked, orange jumpsuits aren't exactly lab gear. Reed? Sure, if he wasn't so busy packing for his next space vacation. Pym? Please. That guy's too busy being bitter to give it a shot." Tony waved off the warning like a fly. "Proceed. Let legal handle the whining."

"Very well, Sir."

####

Stark Mansion, or White House, home was home. Tony felt relaxed even in the fat chair in the Oval Office. Even though there were files on his table, he didn't feel tired of them. But at the same time, he was starting to feel a little bored by the President business.

He wanted to return to the superhero business. Flying around the country in his suit and saving folks. Wasn't that also his job?

Trrrr~

"What?" Tony picked up the phone.

"Boss, Director Romanoff is here."

He sighed in defeat. Hero business for later, I guess.

"Send her in."

Tony relaxed back and watched his favorite spy roll in in her tight professional suit, pants instead of a skirt this time. But the suit jacket, tight around her waist, was a thing to admire. Her hair was still long, however, and they were done in curls.

"Either you uncovered something really juicy at the CIA, or you just missed me. Tough choice, huh?"

"That's why it's not the skirt, Mr. Stark," Natasha responded and took a seat in front of Tony's desk.

"So that's why, nice and subtle." He took the file she had brought and gave it a look. "What's troubling my super spy?"

"It's a lot, Tony. First, I dug into Aldrich Killian as you asked. He's the one behind the bombings. Using Mandarin's name to cover his tracks, but here's the thing—there is a real Mandarin, and he's not some fake terrorist. He's older and far more dangerous than Killian could ever understand."

Tony's brows shot up and he hummed while reading. They didn't have much information on the real Mandarin. But the fake one seemed to have already been found by the CIA.

"What else? I don't see anything else in the report."

"Because I couldn't risk leaving an electronic trail behind. Found some dark corners in the CIA—habits they've kept quiet for decades. Drug smuggling, weapons in unstable countries, money made off the books for 'strategic purposes.' It's a different animal, Mr. President. They claim to protect the country, but that's just a tiny part of the picture. Honestly, I don't even know who they're really serving anymore," Natasha verbally reported. "The things I've seen… 'Fixing' is an understatement. It needs a flamethrower."

"Then get one," Tony replied plainly. He was already aware of some of the dirty work by the CIA since he was involved in the defense sector before. But from what Natasha revealed, the agency was walking the line of treason. "Pull out all the stops for this investigation. I don't care if it's a hundred names or a thousand—every single one's getting a one-way ticket to a cozy little cell. You're welcome."

"You don't have the Supreme Court."

"For now."

Natasha smiled and stood up. "I hope you know what you're doing."

"I don't, I'm just annoyingly good at handling challenges," Tony cheekily replied. "By the way—any chance you can tell me where Aldrich Killian is? Explosions are bad for business."

"I'll send you the coordinates."

Back in the hero business, baby.

Tony waved at her leaving figure and waited for the text.

####

Woosh!

Tony returned to his hero business. The best part was that he made his suit look like one of the Iron Guardians. Nobody knew that it was the real President doing the saving that day. It felt refreshing to be flying again.

He paid May a healthy, non-horny visit, and saw Peter with his best friend building some Lego set. He met with Reed, who was now finalizing his plans to head to space after constant delays. Then he went over and had a beer with Steve at his apartment. The man was a General now, but still went by 'Captain'.

Then finally, he received a message from Natasha with the coordinates.

"'...be careful, he's planning to kidnap you to take over the government. Good luck.' Hah, she's not even worried about me." Tony laughed at her warning and tracked the coordinates at full speed.

As he flew, he realized the place was a port, and his target was an oil tanker of all things. It was still docked and looked nowhere near ready to move.

"Let's see. Jarvis, scan it for me." Tony flew around the ship.

"Inhumanly high heat signatures detected, Sir. These align with the proposed Extremis from Ms. Hansen," Jarvis answered. "There are eighteen figures inside the ship—they're looking at you through the windows."

"Then smile and wave." Tony waved his metallic arm. "Initiate scenario Pinocchio, Jarvis. Let's play a little."

"Understood, Sir."

"He's here! Get ready!" Aldrich was in a panic. Nothing had gone according to his plan. He tried to reach Tony Stark so many times yet his Iron Guardians stopped him every single time. There was an invisible iron wall between Tony and the world.

His research was halted. His funding was taken away. He hoped to ensue panic and bring down Tony through impeachment using some influence he had gathered, but that went to shit too as Tony openly revealed the names of all corrupt Senators and House members, starting a chain reaction of mass resignation.

On every step of the way, Aldrich faced defeat. Now, he hoped to escape America with his research and men and create a base somewhere else. Of course, he hoped to take down Tony before leaving.

Killing a man was easier than kidnapping, he reckoned.

"Get in the positions!" He shouted at the men.

Boom!

"WHO EXPLODED?!" He panicked at the first explosion and rushed to check the cameras in front of him.

Boom!

"One more?"

In the camera, he watched as Iron Man stormed through the container, using palm blasters without even giving a warning. This Iron Man was different, instantly neutralizing the threat.

Boom!

On the screen, he saw pure chaos. His Extremis soldiers couldn't even attack Tony as they got blasted apart before they even got close to him.

Boom!

From one chamber to another, one staircase at a time, Iron Man climbed up and killed every single Extremis soldier there.

Bam!

And finally, Iron Man was inside the main control deck of the ship. Aldrich looked at the metallic thing that walked in, his heart telling him to run. But where? There was nowhere to go.

"Stay back! I'll… I'll detonate this entire ship!"

"Sure, buddy. I seriously don't get you. You had the money and the looks too, then why? Couldn't you be just another spoiled billionaire drinking, smoking crack, and living on the edge of STDs?"

"Shut up, Stark! You'll never und—"

Boom!

"Not interested." Tony shot a palm blaster at Aldrich. "What the… healing factor?"
