Marvel : Super Soldier at the Start

Chapter 187: Stoned

The Reality Stone is the most uniquely shaped of the six Infinity Stones.

In Avengers: Endgame, Thor described it as "a pile of angry sludge," which, though not entirely accurate, indirectly highlights the Reality Stone's formless nature, aligning with its ability to manipulate matter at the molecular level.

If you possess enough power to control and harness it, you could transform an entire planet into an ice cream cone or turn the sun into a giant ice sphere.

Of course, this requires immense strength. Even in the Marvel movies, Thanos, with the Infinity Gauntlet, only managed to utilize the stones at a rudimentary level.

Returning to Blake's side of the story, the Aether resembled a viscous liquid yet had the texture of something like intensely solidified mist.

Attracted by the Space Stone, which also contains the cosmic essence of the universe and resides within Blake, the Aether withdrew from Jane's body. It then flowed directly into Blake, seeping through his pores and entering his body.

Once inside, the Aether—simultaneously resembling matter and energy—triggered an explosive reaction with the divine flame energy Blake already possessed. The two forces seemed to ignite each other, surging uncontrollably.

Blake instinctively shoved Daisy aside as flames erupted uncontrollably from his body, lifting him into the air.

The energy within him spiraled out of control, and his body was no longer under his command. Blake found himself in a perilous situation, leaving the others bewildered and unsure of what was happening.

As Blake writhed in agony from the rampaging energies within, the Space Stone in his hand suddenly began to glow brightly.

In a flash, the stone detached from its pedestal and shot toward Blake. Upon nearing his body, it inexplicably transformed into a mist-like substance and, much like the Reality Stone, poured into him.

Thor quickly shielded the others and took several steps back, staring in disbelief. One person had just absorbed *two* Infinity Stones into his body?

It was unheard of. In the known history of the universe, no individual or faction had ever possessed two Infinity Stones simultaneously, let alone consumed them directly into their body.

If the energy were to spiral out of control, it could easily result in the destruction of an entire planet.

Although Thor was deeply concerned for Blake, the safety of everyone else came first. He was already prepared to summon Heimdall at a moment's notice.

To Thor's surprise, once the Space Stone entered Blake's body, the previously raging energy began to stabilize.

The flames slowly receded, returning to Blake's body. He gently descended to the ground, standing completely still, as if he had turned into a statue, shifting from intense motion to eerie stillness in an instant.

The whole event lasted only a few seconds, but it was long enough to leave everyone stunned. Daisy, seeing Blake frozen in place, let out a scream and tried to rush toward him, only to have Thor grab her arm and hold her back.

"Don't move recklessly. I don't know what's happening to him, but I do know that no one can help him right now. The best thing we can do is not disturb him."

"He… He's going to be okay, right?"

Daisy, though a staunch believer in never marrying, held deep feelings for Blake. Seeing him in such a state, she couldn't help but ask, her voice trembling with worry.

"Only God knows," Thor muttered. "If there even *is* a God."

Hearing this, Daisy silently began praying, hoping for divine intervention to protect Blake.

Is there a God in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Probably not.

But Blake doesn't need God's protection—he has the system.

When the energy within his body first began spiraling out of control, it was the system that manipulated the Space Stone in Blake's hand, directly merging it into his body.

The system seemed to understand the Infinity Stones far better than anyone else ever could.

From the moment the Space Stone entered his body, Blake was completely cut off from all external perception.

His consciousness detached from his physical form and appeared in his mental world.

It was a void resembling the cosmos, with faint, scattered points of starlight shimmering in the distance.

Blake's awareness found itself floating in the middle of this starry expanse as the system's voice began to resonate around him.

"The six Infinity Stones represent the six major principles of the universe. Together, they form a unified whole. Thanos wielding the six Infinity Stones with the Infinity Gauntlet was a complete misuse of their power."

As the system's cold, emotionless voice explained, Blake was given a crash course on the proper use of the Infinity Stones within his mental space.

If the six Infinity Stones were viewed as a singular system, then the Space Stone acted as their power source, much like the Arc Reactor in Tony Stark's armor.

While each stone contained immense energy on its own, in the context of the universe's vastness, that energy was insignificant. Only when paired with the Space Stone could their full potential be unlocked.

Beyond its spatial properties, the Space Stone's most critical role was serving as a battery or energy source for the other stones.

The Reality Stone, on the other hand, was akin to their structural framework. Using the armor analogy again, it represented the suit's outer shell and wiring, connecting and integrating the functionality of the other stones.

The Power Stone functioned as the engine, providing raw strength—similar to a vehicle's motor.

Only by fully integrating all six stones into a cohesive system could their ultimate capabilities be realized. For example, Thanos' infamous snap was merely a beginner-level application of their combined power.

However, Thanos never truly mastered the stones. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been left severely weakened after the snap, nor would he have been nearly bested by Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch, even while wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.

Essentially, Thanos with the Gauntlet was only capable of rudimentary manipulation of the fundamental rules represented by the stones, primarily using them one at a time. When he used several together, it was as if he was wielding a basic energy weapon rather than tapping into their full potential. Ironically, raw power-wise, simply holding the Power Stone alone would have been more effective.

Blake, lacking Tony Stark's genius-level intellect, couldn't fully grasp the technicalities of the explanation. Still, he understood the system's main point:

The stones were a unified whole, and only by assembling and using them correctly could their true power be unleashed.

The Space Stone and Reality Stone were foundational components of this system—absolutely indispensable.

No wonder there had been no fusion when he previously obtained the Mind Stone and Time Stone.

"Does this mean I can use the Reality Stone's abilities now?" Blake asked the system within his mental space.

"The basic functions of the Space Stone remain active, but the Reality Stone is currently constructing the framework of the whole system. The host will need to wait before utilizing its energy…"

The system didn't specify how long this process would take.

Although Blake was eager to wield the Reality Stone's ability to transform matter at will, he understood the importance of a solid foundation. For the sake of greater power in the future, he had no choice but to exercise patience.
