Chapter 27: New York battel IV
Loki squinted at the Blackflame Leviathan, its massive skeletal frame wreathed in sinister black flames as it obliterated the Chitauri forces. The sight of such raw, unrelenting power made him uneasy. He muttered under his breath, "What is that?" His sharp gaze caught the flicker of dark energy swirling around the creature. "Dark magic…" he murmured, feeling the familiar tug of arcane power. It was unlike anything he'd seen on Midgard—volatile, otherworldly, and potent.
Turning his attention from the Leviathan to the city below, Loki scanned the battlefield, searching for the source of this strange magic. His eyes locked onto Michael, who stood amidst the chaos, directing his skeletal army with precision. Around him, undead warriors fought fiercely, holding the Chitauri at bay while civilians fled to safety.
Loki's lips curled into a sly grin. "It's him," he muttered. The mortal—or whatever he truly was—wielded power that even Loki had to respect. But such power, Loki reasoned, shouldn't belong to a mere Midgardian. He narrowed his eyes, his curiosity and arrogance piqued.
Without hesitation, Loki leaped from the building he had been observing from. He descended gracefully, a faint green glow surrounding him as he used his magic to soften his landing. As his boots touched the ground, he straightened, his posture regal and commanding, and strode toward Michael.
"Who are you?" Loki's voice was sharp and imperious as he approached. His piercing gaze locked onto Michael, the hint of a smirk on his lips. "And more importantly, what makes you think you can meddle in the affairs of gods?"
Michel tilted his head as he moved his hand, his symbiote extending from him as it formed a big hammer, Loki seeing the incoming hammer, tried to use his magic to defend himself, but the hammer smashed into him, knocking him unconscious against the wall.
" A fool with God Complex " he mumbled as he turned his attention back on commanding his Undead army.
At another location, Captain America was fighting and killing another Chitauri as Black Widow fights up with him.
"Though we're doing good, but we need to close that portal," Captain said, taking a deep breath as he steadied himself.
Black Widow nodded as she said, "I'm getting to it."
"Hey! I need a lift here!" she shouted, waving her hand as she looked at Michael. Michael nodded and sent two Wraiths, who came near her, grabbing her as they lifted her with them.
"Now this is a new kind of ride," Black Widow mumbled as she felt shivers while holding onto the Wraiths.
Soon, she landed near the machine, and she looked at the machine responsible for the portal.
"now where is the switch off button" she mumbled as she looked around it, trying to find a way to close it. She took out her gun and fired at it, but the bullets didn't even make a dent in the blue barrier around the machine.
"Cap, how are you doing there?" Fury asked as Captain replied.
"I think you're seeing it," Captain said as he heard the urgency in Fury's voice. "Yes, and people are not liking that white cape guy. They're planning to nuke that place, killing him along with the aliens," Fury said as Cap echoed, "What?"
"Apparently, they've tapped into our comms and heard him saying he'll be taking the Cube, so they want him eliminated. Not to mention, his army alone is a dangerous," Fury said as Cap nodded.
"I hope you stopped them," Captain said, and Fury replied, "I did, until a rogue stole one jet, and now they've got not just one, but two nukes."
Captain sighed. "They still have politics in this age?"
Fury shrugged. "I hope you won't let situation escalate."
"You heard it," Cap said, and the others nodded while they led Michel.
"Yes, and I think whoever was talking just signed a death warrant," Tony added as he sighed, "We are still fighting, and now some idiots are going to nuke us for a mistake that they caused, I mean it's your SHIELD behind this situation in the first place."
"That's why I don't trust them," Tony said as he killed another Chitauri. "So, who's going to break the news to him?" Tony asked as Black Widow said, "I've got a way to close the portal, but I think we can send the two nukes in before shutting it."
"Yes, do that," Captain said as Tony added, "I can direct one, but what about the other one?"
"Ask the Sorcerer. They have the space magic most of the time. I mean Our Asgardians mages have it," Thor said as Tony pressed, "That's the problem. We can't just say there is a Nuke on bound too kill him and we want him to now move that Nuke to that space hole!!" he said with a little yell, which he noticed a second later.
"Who nuked me?" suddenly Michael asked as Tony murmured, " yep, I said that aloud." He said as the other Avengers sighed and continued their preparations.
"Nothing but some jerks who are too afraid and fear we might fail, so they plan to nuke this place," Tony said, trying to handle the situation.
Michel looked at him, amused, though anger was also visible in his eyes. "I heard the moment Fury contacted."
"They're not the only ones who tapped into your comms," he said as he swept the space, his voice cutting through their comms, informing them he is not joking.
Fury, back in SHIELD, sighed. "Why are we even paying that tech guy?" he asked in frustration as Michael suddenly went into the air, a surge of magic flowing from him, it turned into a magic circle visible to everyone.
"Underworld Call!" he yelled, and the magic circle around him expanded, covering the whole of New York. Causing blue illusionary cracks to appear on ground and from it, countless Illusionary hands emerged. These hands grabbed the Chitauri and sucked them inside the cracks, as under the eyes of everyone watching it Michael killed over 100s of Chitauri with a single spells of his.
"Now, its time for you guys to die" he said in cold voice as he faced Avengers.
