The atmosphere in the UA Sports Arena was heavy with a mix of anticipation and tension. Students from Class 1-A stood in a loose semicircle, their attention drawn to one figure in particular—Trafalgar Law. Their gazes carried a blend of pity and curiosity, tinged with a faint sadness. He was the only one among them starting the series of eight tests with a significant penalty: minus 30 points.

Shota Aizawa, their ever-composed and sharp-eyed homeroom teacher, stood in the center of the field. His voice, steady and devoid of emotion, cut through the murmurs.

"We'll begin with the first test: the sprint."

The students instinctively stepped back, creating space for the event. Aizawa continued, "Two at a time. Wait for your turn."

Among the group, Izuku Midoriya hesitated before stepping forward. His unruly green hair reflected the sunlight, his wide emerald eyes filled with nervous determination. He approached Law, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry," Midoriya said, his voice tinged with optimism. "You can still make up the difference."

Law turned to face him, his gray eyes calm and unreadable beneath the shadow of his black-and-white spotted hat. Both wore the standard UA training uniforms, a navy-blue tracksuit with white stripes. For a moment, Law studied the boy before him, his thoughts drifting.

This is Izuku Midoriya—the protagonist of the original story. Even now, burdened with the weight of his uncontrollable Quirk, he's trying to encourage me?

A faint smile crossed Law's lips. "Thank you," he said simply. "Good luck to you as well."

Midoriya's cheeks flushed a faint pink, his bashful grin betraying his nerves. He nodded quickly, his hand retreating awkwardly. Law noted how Midoriya's shy demeanor masked a growing determination within.

Aizawa's voice rang out again, drawing their attention. "Tenya Iida."

Iida stepped forward with his usual precision, his movements crisp and disciplined. "Yes, sir!" he replied, his voice echoing with resolve. The bespectacled boy's posture was immaculate as he approached the starting line, earning quiet nods of approval from his classmates.

A brief pause followed before Aizawa called the next name. "Trafalgar Law."

Law exhaled softly, his fingers brushing the brim of his hat as he stepped forward. "Yare yare," he muttered, his tone exasperated yet calm. "Did it have to be me in the first race?"

The two stood side by side at the starting line, a clear stretch of fifty meters marked out on the sandy track ahead. The arena buzzed with quiet anticipation.

Iida turned to Law, his expression serious but not unkind. "I wish I weren't your opponent for this test," he admitted. "Defeating someone already at a disadvantage doesn't sit well with me."

Law's gray eyes narrowed slightly, focusing on Iida's legs, particularly the exhaust-like engines protruding from his calves. His voice was steady, almost taunting. "Your Quirk is speed-based, isn't it? In that case, I suggest you go all out. Otherwise, you might regret it."

Iida blinked, momentarily taken aback, but he nodded firmly. "Understood."

The students watched the exchange with quiet interest. Aizawa stood at the finish line, holding his phone to record the results. With a swift motion, he raised his hand. "Begin!"

Iida crouched low, his hands touching the ground as blue flames erupted from his leg engines. "I'll see you at the finish line!" he declared confidently.

Fwoosh!

The engines roared, propelling Iida forward with incredible speed. The air seemed to ripple around him, a testament to his immense acceleration.

The spectators murmured in admiration, some even smiling at the sheer force of Iida's Quirk.

Meanwhile, Law remained still for a brief moment, a faint smirk playing on his lips. His right hand extended slightly, fingers spread downward.

My Room's range is about twenty meters now. It's unfortunate I can't reach the finish line in a single move, but no matter.

"Room."

A pale blue aura expanded rapidly from Law's position, enveloping the track. The students gasped, their awe written across their faces.

"What is that?" Mina Ashido whispered, her eyes wide.

"It's some kind of field," Tsuyu Asui observed. "But what does it do?"

Within the aura, Iida maintained his focus. No problem, he thought. All he can do is switch objects' positions. There's no proof he can move me.

"Shambles."

In an instant, Law and Iida swapped places. The crowd gasped as Iida found himself back at the starting line, while Law was already halfway down the track.

"What the—?!" Minoru Mineta shouted. "That's insane! He just teleported!"

"Man, what kind of luck is that?" Eijiro Kirishima added, his voice tinged with envy.

"Looks like the engine boy has his work cut out for him," Tsuyu remarked, her tone calm despite the rising excitement.

Iida's blue eyes widened beneath his glasses as realization struck. His thoughts raced. I was wrong. He can move anything within that blue field—including me. The only way to beat him is…

A determined smile spread across Iida's face. This is my brother's technique. I'm not sure I can pull it off, but it's my only chance.

The engines on his legs roared louder, flames flaring as he surged forward once more. Law, meanwhile, was sprinting toward the finish line, his eyes scanning the ground. "Not a single rock to throw," he muttered in annoyance.

The students watched, their excitement building. Iida's speed increased, his engines nearing their limit. His voice echoed through the arena as he made his move. "Recipro Burst!"
