Chapter Eighty-Seven:

Manu Palace

I quietly waited for my father to return and even if it was in the middle of the night I still waited until he comes. I feel like something isn't right so there was an unexpected tremor. I'm not sure but I really think there is something bad happened in some part of the Manu Kingdom.

"My Lady." Wei came to my side. "Why don't you wait inside the palace? It is much better if you just wait inside rather to stay here."

"I cannot." I replied. "Nor will I be comfortable if I wait inside the palace for my father's return. So, I'll choose to wait here. You don't have to worry about it."

"But it was too late now, my Lady. It is almost near midnight. And I think your father won't be back soon."

"I will still wait. You may go first and take a rest because I also can't sleep or rest and even if my father comes back tomorrow, I'll just stay out here and let the night pass through."

"But my Lady…"

"I can accompany her." suddenly Dealla came out of the shadows. "I'll take care of the Princess, Wei. So, you don't have to worry anymore. I will protect her no matter what."

Wei looks at her before giving up a deep sigh. "Fine, if you two insist." She said before turning her gaze back at me. "Just one more thing," she said. "Don't come out of the palace especially we don't know yet what caused the quake earlier, do you understand my Lady?"

"Yes, I will do as you said." I answered. "And besides, Deal won't let me leave anyway so I can't really leave the palace even if I want to." I added while looking at Dealla that she nodded to agree.

Deep into the Mountains

In the depths of the night the silence of the mountains was suddenly disturbed and all the animals around were suddenly in a commotion and almost did not know what to do.

"Melite, what is happening?" a Nymph of the forest asked her.

"I don't know either." She answered as she focuses her senses at the river and she sense that there was someone drinking the water. "It seems there's a creature drinking in the river that caused the commotion of animals, trees, plants and even the earth felt it."

The Nymph of the forest tried to trace whoever that was but to no avail. "I can't feel whoever that was." She spoke. "So how sure you that it was some kind of creature?"

"I'm so sure it was a creature although whoever it was I can't figure out since it has a barrier protecting it and just lowers it to drink. And now it was totally gone."

"The sky turned darker than dark." suddenly the Nymph of flower came. "And such events took place when a cursed one was born."

Melite and the Nymph of the Forest look up into the night sky.

"You're right." Melite answered and also remembered something. "Do you think 'The Joker' has arrived?"

No one answered her question and they all keep quiet while the night seems grows darker and darker. And whatever was to come they were sure it was already there and soon darkness will once fall on to them.

Manu Palace

"Stop the chariot." The King suddenly ordered and the carriage stop before it went inside the palace gate.

"My King, what is wrong?" Damond worriedly asked.

"I knew Siara was waiting for me."

"What's the problem if she's waiting for you to come home?"

"I was worried that what I feared would happen soon. Especially now that we all know who was responsible for the sudden explosion happened at Reinhardt's Residence. I don't know if I will be able to answer all the questions she will have when we meet. The reason why I just wanted to avoid her as much as possible," I honestly stated.

"But you won't be able to avoid her that long. Soon enough you two will meet and soon she will be able to find out the whole truth." Damon answered and he was right and I really don't know if I can handle that if that time has to come.

"I don't know. I really don't know."

Meanwhile…

"They have been around for a very long time. What else are they doing right now?" I loudly asked since I am getting bored of waiting.

"Why don't you just go inside and just wait there?" Dealla said the same words Wei said.

"As I said earlier, I would not be comfortable if I waited inside. Besides, I couldn't sleep. I just badly wanted to know what was going on."

"What are you sensing?"

"Not so sure but all I know there is something wrong at the sky." I said while I look up. "It seems that the darkness I see is even darker now that it was then."

"What do you mean?" Dealla asked as she looks up into the night sky. "It is seemingly the same for me."

"I really don't know. There is something strange in the darkness of the night and it was hard to explain."

From a far…

"Our little princess seems to be feeling the same way she felt before." Ozul said while we silently spy at the chosen hope.

"Well, she is the twin of 'The Curse' one so she can feel my presence even though she isn't yet fully awake."

"Right." he agreed. "So, what do you plan to do now? It looks like you will have a hard time now getting into Reinhardt's Residence because of the protection they put around the place."

"No worries. I can handle it."

"How?"

"Oh, come on Ozul. You don't seem to know me! You may have forgotten that I'm more powerful than those Witches and Warlocks. So, no barrier can stop me. But for now, I need to talk to our little princess first." I said and transported myself near at the princess.
