Chapter Six stay calm and blame Danzo

Bursting into the office like he never heard of knocking Danzo began his stereotypical tirade.

"What happened to my root members"?

Hiruzen finished closing his desk drawer with one hand while the other slowly removed and emptied his pipe. Emptying his pipe gave him time to switch mental gears and plan out this response to the obvious upcoming one-sided conversation.

"You mean the ones you sent to patrol the roads for enemy spies attempting to enter the village".

"What other one of my ninjas disappeared recently? Yes them! What did you do"!

Snapped out Danzo as he proceeded to slam both his hands against the top of Hiruzen's desk.

Slowly taking a drag from his pipe Hiruzen subtlety proved his higher position implying he didn't need to explain anything. 

Danzo however only saw this power play as a means to dodge responsibility becoming even more irated.

"You if this is how you want to take this".

Calmly cutting off Danzo's trade Hiruzen announced.

"I honestly don't know".

"Bull shit! I know the Yamanaka already read the man's mind".

With a fo helpless expression, Hiruzen pleaded ignorance proclaiming.

"That's the thing we still don't know as it didn't work".

Before a moment could pass and Danzo could truly reflect on the stupidity of his next statement he cried out.

"Another village has figured out how to block the Yamanaka's technique"!

Yes, the man dressed unlike any ninja ever seen before with no understandable documentation unable to speak your language, and with unknown capabilities is another foreign nation's ninja.

Before Hiruzen could remind his "friend" of these facts two masked ninjas appeared in office. 

One from the ANBU's jinchuriki escort detail and another from the T and I division.

"Hokaga-sama there is an emergency".

Announced the jinchuriki's escort. The T and I member took a step back and looked up towards the Hokage direction for permission to stay or if he would need to be sent out and come back.

Looking past the Hokage the T and I Ninja noticed a small smoke trail through the large window coming from the location of the village's park.

Receiving no indication to leave the ninja just backed up and stared straight ahead and out the window towards the smoke.

"Lord third the jinchuuriki is missing, during a shift change she was replaced with another ninjas wind clone".

Before the ninja could continue Hiruzen shot Danzo a suspicious glance before looking towards the ninja standing off to the side waiting and changing his mind and commanded.

"You may go. Be back in 5 minutes while we discuss this".

"Yes sir"!

With a quick slute and a flicker, the ninja vanished only for another ninja to take his place as the fourth in the room.

"Lord third there was an indistinguishable fire lite in the park we suspect it was a distraction as we have spotted several spies moving around the village. I believe we are under attack".

Once again Hiruzen eyes shoot over the Danzo this time with anger.

"Understood. You may go I don't suspect a full-scale attack but the fire and spies might be a distraction as the jinchuriki is missing. Send all available ninjas around the village to search for clues I will handle the fire. Both of you are dismissed".

Following his command both ninjas vanished from the room leaving just Danzo and Hiruzen. Both stood in silence staring out the window for several seconds. 

Danzo thinking about how to explain his plans while Hiruzen was suppressing the vitriol that would burst from his lips.

Danzo believing it was best to explain himself spoke.

"The jinchuuriki".

"NO"!

Only to be violently cut off by Hiruzen. The voice in the back of his head was screaming to just turn around to swing a fist at Danzo but he wasn't young anymore this village needed a ratio ninja. Doesn't that warmonger realize how close the last war was? That the village needed to heal before the next attack?

"We can spin this in our favor I manipulated other villages' ninjas".

"You idiot! How do you think any of this was a good idea! A war just ended we need to build up our forces but if we do nothing that will just insite others to attack us"!

Fists clenched blood dripping to the floor Hiruzen could only hold his shaking fist still due to all his experience dealing in diplomacy.

"I did not inform anyone of real vulnerabilities in our defenses I created the patrol gaps and dropped the shields for that location just for a short time. I had my root members track the ninjas that entered the city as well".

Danzo defended his stupid actions in a self-righteous tone. 

Before Hiruzen could snap further at the idiot for his useless machinations or even the point out that the reason he endangered the village was not just physical damage but its lost reputation! This reputation is what gives the village its jobs. The jobs needed to raise power ninjas. 

It took everything he had not to clobber the man for his stupid schemes so instead Hiruzen threw a punch and exploded his window.

Leaving behind just one statement Hiruzen bolted to the park to protect his citizens.

"This is why you weren't chosen by our teacher".

This one statement left Danzo in a burning rage! He was in the right! His plans did work on the jinchuuriki. She was kidnapped now his agent would save her and she would fall in love with him and he control her just like he did with Dan and Tusnade.

It was difficult to kill Nawaki when he was protected by Orochimaru but the death of close family always made it easier to manipulate a person closer. If he succeeded in killing Akui he would have killed two birds with one stone. Both removing one of that curse bloodline and making the jinchuuriki more vulnerable.

Turning away from the stupid fool who thinks just because he is in the light that makes him a better leader he walks into the shadows of the room and toward the door and the T and I ninja.

He never thought it was right that the T and I got animal masks as well he would definitely change. People might worry that if others realize the identities of T and I members it might put them at risk given the information they learn but once he took over he would have his Root take over. No one would need to worry and he would have all the information. 

Danzo while thinking about destroying the man's livelihood and maybe even incorporating the members of T and I into his Root approached the ninja to find out more about the man who killed his ninjas. 

If he can train civilians with little chakra into people that could kill four of his fully trained ninjas he could create perfect spies. He might even figure out how to copy the man's invulnerability to mind reading he could produce special undercover agents no one could predict or discover his involvement… even in the village.

If he was immune to mind reading was he also immune to mind-altering justsu like Genjutsus? If so then the damned Uchiha would lose a major advantage of their eyes.

He might also even be able to copy the man's method of completely removing or suppressing the physical and spiritual energy from their body. This chakra cloaking would allow his ninjas an advantage against all sensor ninjas like those damned uptight Hyuga clan. Danzo's grin only grew more and more as he thought of all of the advancements this man could bring him. He needed to get Orochimaru to stop.

If the man was claimed not to by any village then no one could claim or miss him if he disappeared. The large grin slowly expanded further across Danzo's furious visage.

As Danzo was planning Doug's horrible fate Hiruzen flickered his way through the village and to the unusual black fire consuming the village's park.

Upon reaching the park the surrounding ninjas converged upon Hiruzen.

"I will suppress the fire every else remove nearby civilians. Water pillar thrust"!

With a great thrust of water, all the material in the forest quickly became drenched in water. However, once the cloud of steam settled the black flame only continued to burn surprising every nearby ninja.

Hiruzen however was experienced and quickly released this flame was likely a special kekki genkai and proceeded to seal the flames.
