Chapter 35: MCSDB Chapter 27 Reentering Part 2
Faced with Jiang Chen's piercing stare, Liǔ Qīngxiá involuntarily took a step back, her words stuck in her throat.
Jiang Chen withdrew his gaze, turned around, and walked away with Yue Yang.
"You shouldn't have given her that login opportunity. Liǔ Qīngxiá is nothing but a petty person," Yue Yang grumbled.
"Let it go. Just focus on preparing for the login— it's about to begin," Jiang Chen said, shaking his head. He didn't care about these minor disputes; to him, they were mere child's play. In his past life, such things might have been troublesome, but not in this world.
His attention was entirely focused on the upcoming login. His thoughts were on the Dragon Ball world awaiting him.
Yue Yang opened his mouth as if to argue but ultimately chose to stay silent.
Time passed slowly.
Many people glanced in Jiang Chen's direction but soon turned their attention elsewhere, including Lin Shiyun.
As time crept forward, the moment finally arrived.
Buzz!
Just like before, a ripple spread out across the air.
On the platform, a series of runes began to light up one after another.
"All students, prepare yourselves!"
"The Login process is about to begin."
"Please do not leave the designated area of the login platform."
The headmaster's voice echoed from the broadcast, repeating the instructions.
Jiang Chen murmured softly, "It's starting."
Buzz!
Another ripple spread out, and the runes shone even brighter.
In an instant, Jiang Chen's vision blurred. He felt his consciousness rapidly rising, as though being pulled into a higher plane.
He didn't know how much time passed or how long it lasted.
Suddenly, his consciousness plummeted, and everything went dark.
As Jiang Chen's senses returned, a gentle breeze brushed past his nose, carrying a soothing freshness. The warmth enveloping his body was comforting, easing him awake.
He sat up abruptly in the room he was in.
"Where is this?"
Scanning his surroundings, a familiar feeling washed over him, stirring memories.
Before he could fully gather his thoughts, a voice called from outside the room, one he recognized immediately.
"Aspara!"
Hearing the name jolted Jiang Chen to full alertness. He sprang out of bed and rushed to open the creaky door.
"Aspara, what's going on with you today?"
Standing in the doorway was Bardock, his rugged face etched with concern.
"Bardock Oji San, it's nothing," Jiang Chen said, scratching his head with a sheepish grin on his face. "I trained too late yesterday and accidentally overslept."
Indeed, Jiang Chen had returned to the Dragon Ball world through his second login. Unlike the first time, this login bypassed the hazy white space, allowing him to directly re-enter his initial world.
"Training is important, but you need to pace yourself," Bardock said, his tone fatherly. "You're still young; don't push yourself too hard and risk getting hurt. How about taking a rest day and starting again tomorrow?"
"There's no need, Bardock Oji San!" Jiang Chen replied with a smile, shaking his head. "I've rested enough!"
"Alright, if you're sure."
Bardock studied Jiang Chen carefully. Seeing no issues, he nodded and stepped aside.
After getting ready, Jiang Chen joined Bardock, stepping out of the room.
…
Several days passed on Planet Vegeta. During this time, Jiang Chen spent his days training under Bardock's guidance.
While he had crafted multiple plans for the future during his time away, one principle remained constant: strength is the foundation of everything.
No matter which path he chose, strength was the key to success.
…
Meanwhile, in the Naruto World, Jiang Xi opened her eyes abruptly.
"Character loading complete!"
"Data binding in progress!"
The mechanical voice of the system echoed in her mind. Moments later, streams of data appeared before her eyes, beginning to flow.
Name: Jiang Xi
Name in this world: Hyūga Xi
Age: 5
Level: None
The information was simple, devoid of attributes or skills. It made sense— she had just logged into this new character.
"Success! So this is the ninja world!" Jiang Xi murmured excitedly, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on the wooden door.
Knock, Knock.
The sound snapped her back to reality. Quickly, she stood and opened the door.
Standing outside was a man in his thirties, with a square-shaped face and clad in the Hyūga Clan's traditional attire.
As she looked at him, her mind instinctively recalled his identity.
He was Hyūga Hizashi, the younger brother of the clan leader Hyūga Hiashi, and her second uncle in this life.
In this new identity, Hyūga Xi's father was a direct sibling to both Hyūga Hiashi and Hyūga Hizashi.
"Xi, you've turned five today. It's time for you to begin learning chakra refinement. Here's a basic technique manual for refining chakra. Study it, and if you have questions, come to me," Hizashi said while handing her a scroll.
Hyūga Hizashi spoke in a gentle tone as he handed a scroll to Jiang Xi. His eyes, however, carried a trace of sorrow. During the early stages of the Third Shinobi War, his younger brother— Jiang Xi's father— had died saving him and their elder brother. This loss had led Hizashi to treat his niece with extra care and affection.
"Thank you, Oji San! Got it!"
Jiang Xi quickly nodded in gratitude.
Hyūga Hizashi then turned and left.
As she watched his departing figure, Jiang Xi could barely contain her excitement. She eagerly opened the scroll containing the Chakra Refinement Technique and began practicing.
Compared to Jiang Chen, Jiang Xi, as a student of the DaXia Academy, possessed an innate talent that was nothing short of extraordinary. Her progress in mastering the Chakra Refinement Technique was smooth and swift.
The moment she successfully extracted chakra, her Byakugan activated naturally.
Feeling the 360-degree, all-encompassing vision and the incredible abilities it granted, Jiang Xi's delicate face broke into an uncontrollable smile.
"This is truly amazing!"
"My brother was absolutely right," She murmured to herself.
She marveled at the experience for a moment before deliberately deactivating her Byakugan. Now was not the time to reveal its activation— she wasn't ready to draw attention just yet.
From then on, Jiang Xi dedicated herself to diligent training. Her superior starting point and exceptional talent made everything progress smoothly, especially in chakra refinement, where her advantage was most evident.
