MY LIFE IN THE FORGOTTEN WORLD!

Chapter 7: The Outer City 3

I was sitting in the corner of the house, watching them stare at each other. I could only hear the sound of rain and thunder outside, and the smell of blood that filled the place.

**Swoosh!**

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the armored man drew a large sword.

'Where did this sword come from? Moments ago, he wasn't holding anything.'

I was sitting, amazed at the supernatural phenomena happening around me, impossible things happening in front of me as if they were ordinary. The armored man advanced towards Jaron at great speed, carrying his giant sword. He moved so fast that my eyes could barely keep up.

"Watch out, Garoun!"

I warned Garoun about the man because of the huge sword he was carrying, but what happened was something I didn't expect at all. The man swung his sword at Jaron, but:

"Big swords aren't good in a small place like this."

Garoun stopped the sword with his bare right hand while talking to the armored man. With his left fist, he struck the man in the middle of his armor.

**Boom!**

The man flew backward, smashing through the wall of the house and falling far away. Garoun went to where the man had fallen, and I moved too to see what had happened to him.

He didn't fall like the previous criminals and remained standing. But his armor was shattered and began to fall piece by piece until only his helmet remained, which he removed himself.

A middle-aged man with a half-disfigured face and a giant body, but slightly smaller than Jaron, appeared.

"Well, now we're in an open space where nothing will hinder my sword."

He spoke while holding his sword behind his back, with rain falling on him and a big smile on his face. It was a terrifying scene for me, but Garoun was simply moving forward, and the man advanced towards Jaron as well.

The armored man started running, swinging his sword as before. But now the speed and power were different. Garoun didn't catch the sword like before.

"Right, now you can move freely and use your sword better, but you forgot something."

Garoun dodged the sword swing, advanced forward, and grabbed the man's face with his left hand.

"You need to measure your opponent's strength."

**Boom!**

He buried the man's face in the ground and punched him with his right fist.

**Punch!**

He completely buried the man's head in the ground.

I watched all this with my mouth wide open because of the scene in front of me.

'What is this power? This kind of strength is impossible for a human to achieve.'

When I came back to my senses, Garoun was already walking away.

"Wait!"

I shouted for him to hear me, and indeed he stopped in his tracks but didn't turn to look at me. I started crawling to reach him because I had no strength left in my body.

Despite the rain, my injuries, and the blood I was losing, I didn't care and continued crawling until I reached near his feet.

"How?"

I said this word desperately to Garoun.

"What?"

"How can I become as strong as you?"

After saying these words, I gathered all my strength and stood on my feet to look at him.

"Are you sure this is what you want?"

He said these words that confused me.

'Huh? Of course, this is what I want. I want to become as strong as you so I can live in this world.'

I started thinking about Garoun question a little and knew the answer.

'I don't necessarily need to become as strong as Garoun. What I want is...'

"Teach me."

"Teach you what?"

"Teach me how to live in this world!"

Yes, this is what I want. I want to live; I don't want to die again.

"Okay, I have no problem with that."

Garoun said these words and started walking forward towards his house. I followed him, weighed down by my injuries and looking forward to a new beginning.

"Huh? The rain stopped."

)The Next Morning(

"Get up, boy."

"Five more minutes."

"Get up now, or I'll hit you."

When Garoun voice mentioned hitting me, I remembered his punches from last night and immediately got up from bed.

"Yes sir, I'm up!"

"It seems your wounds are better than yesterday."

"Yes, they have almost healed."

I noticed that my wounds had nearly healed when I woke up.

'This body has an excellent healing rate.'

"Well, since you're fine, follow me."

Garoun said to me as he exited the house, and I hurried after him without bringing my watch, just in case.

We kept walking until we reached the city gate.

"Hello, Garoun. Going out again today?"

"Yes."

"Oh, the boy is still with you."

The guard who greeted us last night, whose name I learned was Orin, looked at Garoun in surprise.

"And what's the problem?"

"Oh, no problem at all. But it's rare to see you take care of someone."

'It seems Garoun doesn't want to talk to this person, even though they seem like old acquaintances?'

"Will you open the gate or not?"

"Of course, of course. Safe travels."

After the gate was opened, Garoun and I stepped out, and I was greeted by the sight of the forest I had come from yesterday.

'It's beautiful during the day.'

"By the way, Garoun, do you dislike this gatekeeper?"

"No."

"Then why did you speak to him that way?"

"Because he's the one who delivered information to the people who kidnapped you last night."

"Huh?"
