Naruto: NTR Adventure!

Chapter 16: 16

Kushina nodded. "Now that you've used the Hokage Persona, how can I decline this? You are no fun, Old Man. You know what? I'm not giving you any time for practice. Let's spar this coming Monday and place a bet on it. If I win, you will stop giving these roundabout tasks and instead explain things in a way I understand. If I lose, I'll do things your way."

Hiruzen placed his hand on his chin. "Hmm, so if you lose, you will follow my orders and be a diligent adult rather than a brat?"

Kushina stuck out her tongue. "You know it's on. It's been quite some time since I placed a bet. The last one I remember was with Tsunade, about her taking over Konoha Hospital."

Kushina's mouth opened, then closed. "Was it the bet that made her take the hospital under her care?"

Hiruzen nodded. "Yes, Tsunade was quite stubborn, as Minato had forcefully brought her here. She wasn't working as we desired, so I made a bet and won. You've seen the results."

Seeing a thoughtful look on her face, he added, "Having second thoughts, Kushina-chan? Afraid of losing to this old man now?" He chuckled at the end.

"Oh no, now it's on. I was about to go easy on you, but you've brought this upon yourself. Expect no mercy from me as I break your bones," she fired back.

Laughing out loud, Hiruzen replied, "Sure, I would love to see the power of my successor. I hope your actions match your words."

They continued eating lunch, with Kushina making puns about Hiruzen's age. Hiruzen, lost in vivid thoughts reminiscent of Jiraiya's books about an old master disciplining a young student, let a perverted grin form on his face. This caused a shudder to run down Kushina's back.

She fired back, "Have you finally grown senile, Old Man? Who knew you loved so many jokes about your age database?"

Coming back to reality, still playing through the imagined scenarios, Hiruzen grinned as he looked at her. "When you reach my age, Kushina, you'll have heard almost every joke about age. You forget I was young too."

Making an annoyed face, Kushina huffed and started packing up the used plates and bento boxes.

Hiruzen continued, "Anyway, thanks for lunch, Kushina. Now that I'm full and have had a sufficient break, I'd better get back to paperwork."

Kushina retorted, "But we've hardly had 20 minutes off. You should take a bit more rest and walk around, especially after eating."

"This work won't complete itself, Kushina. As for walking, I've scheduled a visit to the Academy in about an hour, so that's covered. Once you're ready, scheduled visits to different areas of the village will be added to your timetable."

Kushina groaned. "Only you would turn a simple walking exercise into a task. Anyway, I'm out. See you at the end of the day."

Without waiting further, she walked out of the office.

As she left, Hiruzen quickly activated the crystal ball again. "Now, where was I? Oh, they're gone. Guess I'll have to look for another area."

As Kushina exited the Tower, she nodded at various shinobi who bowed to her. Upon entering the Archives building, the Chunin guards bowed as well. After making her entry, she headed to the meeting room located on the third floor.

While taking the stairs, she felt something odd with the shadows. In a flash, she lashed out with her chakra chains. A yelp of surprise confirmed her suspicion, and she found a figure hidden in the shadows. Without giving them time to react, she kicked them in the midsection and bound them with her chains.

Soon, shinobi filled the stairs above and below, including a couple of ANBU operatives.

When she pulled the bound person into the light, it turned out to be an ANBU with a 'Crow' mask.

"You, what were you doing lurking in the shadows here?" Kushina asked while tightening her chains.

"Um, Kushina-sama, I was taking my position for the shift—"

He was cut off by Kushina. "I didn't know you had to move during your shift. I sensed your movement and chakra fluctuating, as if you were preparing a jutsu. What were you trying to do?" she demanded, raising an eyebrow.

Before Crow could respond, an ANBU with a 'Kuma' mask answered, "Forgive him, Kushina-sama. He's a new recruit and gets startled easily. Most likely, he got startled by you and lost control of the shrouding technique. That's what you must have sensed, isn't it, Crow?"

The bounded ANBU nodded. "It's right, Kushina-sama. Please forgive me if I startled you."

Kushina nodded and released him. "Make sure you complete and gain enough experience with that shrouding technique before using it again, especially around high-rank shinobis. They could easily kill you in a reflex action."

Ending the conversation, she smiled and continued towards her destination.

As the crowd of shinobis dispersed, only a trio of ANBUs and Jounin Genma remained. They walked out of the Archives and went to rooms designated to Jounins and ANBU only.

Making sure they were alone, Genma spoke, pointing towards the Crow-masked ANBU, "You almost got caught. What were you thinking of? Startling her? It's thanks to Kuma we aren't in deep shit."

Crow quickly removed the mask as a disguise was removed. He turned out to be a man with a Konoha hitai on a bandana with black round sunglasses. This was Ebisu, a Tokubetsu Jonin in Konoha's forces.

"What other options did I have? I lost a bet, didn't I?" He pointed fingers at each of them. "Damn, I regret coming to drink with you guys last night. I think she broke a couple of ribs from that one kick alone."

As Kuma-masked ANBU looked on, the other ANBU also removed his mask, revealing himself as Genma's friend Aoda. Finally speaking, he said, "As amusing as it was seeing you get kicked, I took a huge risk taking you guys in this bet. Tell me, did you at least succeed in getting the task done?"

Ebisu clutched his chest. "Damn, you guys are heartless, first making me lose a bet and then forcing me to do it. As for your question, no, I wasn't able to complete the task. I wasn't even able to look up her skirt, and you tasked me to click her upskirt pictures."
