He had a nagging suspicion that the two Hokage advisors had set him up.

Why? Of all days, why did these villagers have to come to him today—his very first day as Hokage?

The Hashirama cells within him seemed to stir uncontrollably.

"Danzo, take your medicine!"

Homura quickly noticed his old friend's condition, expertly pulled out some blood-pressure pills, and shoved them toward Danzo's mouth.

Danzo, too miserable to care, swallowed the pills without question.

After a moment, his breathing stabilized, and the discomfort eased.

To his surprise, Homura's medicine worked wonders. The Hashirama cells in his body calmed down entirely.

"Thanks."

Danzo gave a weak smile of gratitude before addressing the crowd.

"Everyone."

"As your Hokage, I will ensure this matter is resolved."

"Please rest assured."

He plastered a benevolent smile on his face, imitating the demeanor of Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Then, he turned to Yamanaka Fū and gave the order.

"Go, summon Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno!"

"If they refuse to come…"

"They'll be treated as rogue ninjas!"

Danzo's single eye glinted with a fierce determination.

For the sake of his Hokage position, he no longer cared about Itachi Uchiha's feelings.

"Lord Hokage! Absolutely not!"

"Danzo! Think this through!"

The moment Danzo declared them rogue ninjas, everyone—including the Hokage advisors—vehemently opposed him.

It wasn't that they were against branding Sasuke and Sakura as rogues, but...

They couldn't forget about Naruto Uzumaki.

Everyone knew how petty Naruto could be.

If his teammates were labeled as rogues, no one doubted he'd return and unleash the Nine-Tails on the village.

The villagers heaved a collective sigh of relief.

No one wanted to provoke Naruto Uzumaki.

They still remembered that incident with Akamaru. The dog had only bared its teeth at Naruto, yet the blonde still slapped it twice every time they crossed paths.

Yamanaka Fū quickly set off toward the northern edge of the village.

Sasuke Uchiha arrived, clad in a black cloak, his oversized Executioner's Blade strapped to his back.

Danzo squinted at the approaching figure before glancing at the advisors in confusion.

"That's Sasuke Uchiha?"

"I thought he was…"

Koharu and Homura nodded in confirmation.

Danzo scrutinized the young man before him, feeling as though he had missed out on a lot during his time in the hospital.

Wasn't Uchiha Sasuke just a scrawny kid six years ago?

"Hokage… what do you want?"

Sasuke's voice was icy, his disdain for the crowd evident.

Still, he couldn't help but feel curious about this newly appointed "Acting Hokage."

Wasn't this old man hospitalized just a few days ago? How did he end up here?

Danzo's fists clenched as he heard the word "Acting." The veins on his temples bulged as he suppressed the urge to lash out.

But no. Not here. Not now.

He forced a smile and said, "Sasuke… where's Sakura? Didn't I ask for both of you to come so we could resolve this issue?"

"Relax, I just want to have a friendly discussion."

Danzo's tone was uncharacteristically gentle, even more so than when he spoke to his own teacher.

But to Sasuke, it all seemed… suspicious.

He narrowed his eyes and muttered coldly, "Did you take the wrong medicine?"
