Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Sparring gone wrong!
"What the hell is going on? Just a second ago, I was in Nariyoshi's manga shop, and now—"
A sharp, searing pain erupted in his head, cutting off Yuichi's—or rather, Michael's—thoughts midstream. He clutched his temples, his breath hitching as the pain intensified.
And then they came.
Memories. Memories of someone else. A life he had never lived.
Images flashed before his eyes—a little boy with blue hair running through the streets of Konoha, his laughter echoing in the air. Days spent practicing basic jutsu, his hands clumsily forming seals. Nights studying scrolls by candlelight, his face set with determination.
"No… what is this?!"
The pain clawed deeper, and more memories flooded in. A stern-faced shinobi—his father—appeared, only for the image to fade as quickly as it had come. He could feel the sorrow and loss that Yuichi carried, the weight of a father who had died in battle when he was barely old enough to understand.
And then there was her—his mother. A kind woman with gentle eyes and a warm smile. He felt the comfort of her embraces, the strength in her voice as she encouraged him to keep trying, to never give up, even when the world seemed against him.
Beside her, another figure emerged—his older sister. Fierce, protective, and with a temper that could rival a storm, she had become like a second parent. He could feel the countless hours she spent training him, pushing him to be better, all while masking her own grief with determination.
"These aren't my memories. This isn't my life!"
Michael's mind reeled as the flood continued. These weren't just fleeting images; they were experiences, emotions, and thoughts. He felt the pride of landing his first successful punch in sparring, the sting of failure during exams, and the burning drive to make his family proud.
And then it hit him—a name.
"Yuichi. That's his name… or is it mine now?"
As the memories began to settle, a wave of realization washed over him. He wasn't just in the Naruto universe—he was in Kakashi's generation. He had grown up alongside legends like Obito Uchiha, Rin Nohara, and Kakashi Hatake.
His heart soared with excitement. This wasn't just a dream; it was everything he had ever wanted. To be in the world of Naruto, to live and breathe it.
"This is insane! I'm actually here! In Konoha! I'm a ninja! This is the best thing that's ever happened to me!"
The dull ache in his head faded, leaving him with a strange sense of clarity. He could remember everything about Yuichi's life, and yet he was still Michael. The two identities felt intertwined, but for now, it didn't matter.
His thoughts were interrupted by a sweet voice coming from beside him.
"Yuichi, are you okay? You've been acting strange all morning."
Yuichi turned his head toward the voice, and his eyes widened. Sitting next to him, her face framed by short brown hair and warm, chocolate-colored eyes, was none other than Rin Nohara.

A surge of excitement bubbled in his chest. It's Rin! She's real, and she's right here!
"I—uh…" he stammered, trying to keep his enthusiasm in check.
Rin tilted her head slightly, her brows furrowing in worry. "Yuichi, are you sure you're alright? You've been staring off into space since class started."
He quickly shook his head, forcing a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just… didn't sleep well last night."
Rin studied him for a moment longer before nodding. "If you're sure. Just don't push yourself too hard, okay?"
"Thanks," he said, his grin widening.
As she turned her attention back to the lesson, Yuichi couldn't help but marvel at the situation. He was really here, sitting next to Rin. This wasn't just a world he had read about; it was real, tangible, and alive.
This is going to be amazing!
The bell rang, jolting him out of his thoughts. Students began gathering their things, chatting as they prepared for their next activity. Rin glanced over at him with a bright smile.
"Ready for sparring practice?"
Yuichi blinked. "Sparring practice?"
Rin giggled. "Don't tell me you forgot. It's everyone's favorite part of the day."
He chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "Right. Sparring. How could I forget?"
...
The training grounds buzzed with energy as students paired off, preparing for sparring practice. Yuichi found himself standing opposite Rin, who had a confident glint in her eyes and an easy smile on her lips.
"Ready, Yuichi?" Rin asked, stretching her arms.
Yuichi nodded, though his hands betrayed him. They were trembling—not out of fear but pure adrenaline. He was giddy. This is it! A real ninja sparring match! Just like all those manga battles I've read about!
"Um, Yuichi?" Rin tilted her head, noticing his shaking hands. "Are you okay? Your hands are trembling quite a bit."
Yuichi forced a grin, his voice betraying his enthusiasm. "I'm fine, Rin!"
But as his excitement reached its peak, a sobering thought struck him: Wait… I don't even know how to fight!
Yuichi's memories from this world flooded in. His counterpart, while eager and determined, was far from skilled. He struggled to keep up with his classmates, and Rin was among the strongest in the class.
I'm doomed…
Before he could spiral further, Rin's voice cut through his thoughts.
"Here I come!"
She lunged at him, her fist aimed straight for his chest. Yuichi panicked, his body reacting on instinct rather than skill. With a clumsy sidestep, he somehow managed to dodge her punch, but the momentum threw him off balance.
"Whoa—!"
Rin's eyes widened in surprise as Yuichi stumbled, crashing into her. The force of his fall sent them both tumbling to the ground.
The world seemed to slow for Yuichi. His face hovered inches from Rin's, and then—
Their lips met.
It was soft, sweet, and completely unintentional. Yuichi froze, his mind going blank as the reality of what had just happened sank in.
A second later, a sultry, melodic voice whispered directly into his ear, breaking the silence:
[You have gained 1250 LP.]
Yuichi's eyes widened in shock. Wait, what?! LP? Like in The Hidden Dungeon?!
