Chapter 120: The Six Emperors of the Dark World

Time passed as Charlotte trained Barrett. The ship steadily approached Beehive Island.

The closer they got, the more pirate ships Charlotte encountered. Without the Rocks Pirates' flag raised, many pirates mistook his ship for easy prey, attacking like sharks sensing blood in the water.

"Come closer!"

With a shout, Charlotte swung his sword, effortlessly slicing through a pirate ship, leaving it in ruins.

Then he turned to Paul and barked, "Raise our flag! I've had enough of these annoying flies!"

Charlotte sheathed his sword and strode back toward the hold.

"Who is this?" Charlotte's cold tone made Du Feld, the King of Loan Sharks, tense on the other end of the line.

"Ah, Lord Charlotte! Greetings! I am Du Feld, the King of Loan Sharks in the Dark World. It's an honor to speak with you!" Du Feld replied with forced cheer, his voice full of respect.

Charlotte frowned, confused as to why someone from the dark world would contact him.

"Yes, the King of Loan Sharks," Feld confirmed. "I'm calling to apologize for the actions of my subordinates not long ago."

Hearing the word "apology," Charlotte immediately recalled the dark world agents he had encountered in the Country of Endless War.

"Forget the apology," Charlotte said dismissively. "I didn't care then, and I barely remember it now."

Du Feld chuckled nervously. "Thank you for your magnanimity, Lord Charlotte. I hope this can mark the beginning of a friendly relationship between us. To show my sincerity, I'll offer you loans at the lowest possible interest rate in the future!"

Charlotte raised an eyebrow. While he had no immediate need for loans, the offer was intriguing.

"Hmm, maybe. Let's see how things go," he replied casually.

"Wonderful! As a token of goodwill, I'll share some news with you. Dorag Pieck, the King of Killers, has issued a 2-billion bounty on your head in the Dark World."

"Two billion?" Charlotte's eyes narrowed. "And why would he do that?"

Feld explained, "The Assassin King Pieck lost a lucrative source of business due to your actions in the Country of Endless War. He's involved in the organ trade, you see, and wars provide a steady supply of corpses. Your intervention cut off one of his primary suppliers."

Hearing this, Charlotte's face darkened. "You people from the dark world are truly disgusting."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Feld replied nonchalantly.

Charlotte scoffed and hung up.

On the other end, Du Feld shrugged, relieved that the conversation had gone smoothly.

4. The Emperor of Intelligence: Morgans

Known as "Big News," Morgans controlled the World Economic News Agency and specialized in breaking sensational stories.

5. The King of Warehousing: Giberson

Known as the "Master of Concealment," Giberson handled the storage of illicit goods, ensuring their safekeeping.

6. The King of Transport: Umit

Known as the "Deep Ocean Current," Umit monopolized sea transportation, facilitating the movement of goods across the ocean.

Charlotte reflected on his interactions with the dark world, particularly Umit, who had turned Kami Island into a bustling transit hub under Charlotte's protection.
