Chapter 141: Valley of the Gods (Everyone's Ambition)

The scene of dividing the spoils was chaotic yet calculated.

Golden Lion Shiki secured the most treasure, amassing a total of sixteen treasure chests. It was no wonder he managed to form a massive pirate fleet within a year of leaving the Rocks Pirates. Sixteen chests of treasure! If each chest contained 500 million berries, the total amounted to 8 billion berries. The possibility of Devil Fruits within his haul made his acquisition even more valuable.

Next was Charlotte Linlin, who managed to secure fourteen treasure chests with the help of Prometheus, Zeus, Napoleon, and Kaido. Despite arriving slightly later than Charlotte, her haul was substantial.

Charlotte, who found thirteen treasure chests, including five Devil Fruits, wasn't far behind.

Whitebeard Edward Newgate took the least, collecting ten treasure chests, mostly taken from Shiki. Even so, it was still a significant amount.

The battle for the treasure chests had ended, and everyone seemed pleased with their haul. The atmosphere among the Rocks Pirates shifted, their focus no longer on the battle but on their ambitions and future plans.

Charlotte Linlin, ever the opportunist, beamed with satisfaction as she admired her loot. Her wide grin refused to fade.

Charlotte, while content with his five Devil Fruits, couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy. The mythical Fish-Fish Fruit, Azure Dragon Form, in Linlin's possession overshadowed his haul.

Meanwhile, Shiki puffed on his cigar, observing the ongoing chaos below.

"Kulalalala! Are we just going to sit here and watch?" Whitebeard asked, sipping his sake as he observed the battle.

"Hahahaha! Just wait and see," Shiki responded confidently. "If they fail, we'll swoop in and finish the job. Rocks must die; it's the only way forward."

Hearing Shiki's words, Whitebeard, Charlotte Linlin, and Charlotte exchanged glances, silently acknowledging the truth. If Rocks lost, they would have no choice but to intervene.

"Hahahaha! So, what are your plans after the Rocks Pirates disband?" Shiki asked, his gaze fixed on the battlefield.

Whitebeard stopped mid-sip, contemplating the question.

"Kulalalala! I'll form my own pirate crew and sail the seas with my sons. I've already thought of a name: the Whitebeard Pirates!"

His declaration didn't surprise anyone.

Shiki then turned to Charlotte Linlin.

"Mmmm! I'm heading to Totland. I'll build a nation where every race can coexist. I want a land where everyone celebrates together!" Linlin declared, clutching her hands to her chest.

Her idealistic vision left the group momentarily speechless. A pirate wanting to establish a kingdom?

Shiki raised an eyebrow but turned his gaze to Charlotte.

"Charlotte boy, what about you? What's your plan?"

Charlotte, caught off guard, thought for a moment. Until now, his focus had been on growing stronger and surviving the battle in the Valley of the Gods. He hadn't thought about life after the Rocks Pirates.

"I want to explore the world," Charlotte finally said. "Travel with my family, raise my children, and see everything this world has to offer. Maybe even visit the Four Seas and the first half of the Grand Line."

"Hmm? You want to wander the seas like the Roger Pirates?" Shiki asked, his tone mocking.

Before Charlotte could respond, Rayleigh, who had been silently observing the group, interjected.

"Our dream is to explore the world, not drift aimlessly!" Rayleigh snapped, irritated.

The group turned to glare at him, prompting Rayleigh to awkwardly retreat.

"Sorry, sorry! Carry on!" Rayleigh stammered as he hurried away.

Turning back to the group, Shiki shook his head in exasperation.

"So, one of you wants to adopt kids, another wants to play king, and the last one wants to go sightseeing. Is this what it means to be a pirate?" Shiki asked incredulously.

Whitebeard swung a punch at Shiki, who deflected it with his sword.

"Well, well, well! You have no say in what we want to do," Linlin said with a sly smile.

"As for me," Charlotte added with a shrug, "I was forced into piracy by Rocks. So, I'm free to do what I want."

Shiki fell silent, contemplating their words. Finally, Whitebeard broke the silence.

"What about you, Shiki? What do you plan to do?"

Shiki's eyes lit up with determination.

"Hahahaha! I'll form the most powerful pirate fleet and use my Float-Float Fruit to create the Sky Pirates. I'll be the king of the world!"

Shiki's ambition was undeniable, his domineering presence filling the air.

"Shiki, your ambition is too great," Whitebeard said, glancing at Rocks. "If Rocks couldn't do it, what makes you think you can?"

"Just because Rocks failed doesn't mean I will," Shiki retorted. "I'll plan meticulously and make the world tremble before the name Golden Lion Shiki!"

Rocks, noticing the group's conversation, shot them a furious glare. His bloodied face twisted in rage as he shouted, "Just wait! Once I finish here, I'll deal with you traitors!"

The group exchanged disinterested looks, ignoring Rocks's outburst.

"Charlotte! Come join me," Shiki said, turning to the younger pirate. "Help me achieve my dream, and I'll make you my second-in-command. Forget about wandering the world!"
