Chapter 21: Chapter 21 : Trembling! Electric Shock Technique Of The Fur Race
"Gulu!"
"That guy..."
"Even Vice Admiral, the Onigumo, can't take him down!"
On the battered deck,
the sound of clashing swords echoed endlessly.
The two figures continued their fierce confrontation.
A large number of Marines had gathered, their weapons drawn and aimed at the two fighters, but the chaos of the battle made it difficult to distinguish friend from foe.
Generals and experienced officers who had fought countless battles knew better than to issue a command to fire, fearing friendly fire accidents.
For a moment, they stood frozen, overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of the battle.
At the same time, they were stunned by Wilhelm's strength.
The sight of the Onigumo being pushed to the brink multiple times was enough to instill fear in even the most seasoned warriors.
Inside the cabin, Marine officers responsible for communication with Naval Headquarters quickly relayed the situation.
"Sigh..."
Suddenly, Wilhelm's eyes narrowed, his whole body crackling with lightning.
Electric arcs danced around him, illuminating the air.
His blade, once sharp, now flickered with bursts of dazzling electricity.
"Swipe!"
In an instant, his figure moved like lightning, leaping high into the air.
With immense power surging through his right arm, veins bulged, and strength built up rapidly.
In mid-air, Wilhelm executed a 360-degree spin, descending with a dark green blade.
The downward strike was ruthless and precise.
"Keng--"
"Bang! Clang! Crashes..."
The Onigumo's expression shifted sharply.
He felt his arms tremble violently as the electric shock surged through him.
The strength and speed Wilhelm displayed earlier seemed to multiply in that moment.
His strike effortlessly shattered the black blades wrapped with Armament Haki, sending fragments flying.
The reinforced deck beneath them groaned, cracking and crumbling under the intense force.
"Crackel Crackel..." (thunder)
The lightning continued to jump, crackling as it danced across Wilhelm's form.
Despite preparing for Wilhelm's attack, the Onigumo was unable to withstand the sheer intensity. His defense barely held against the overwhelming onslaught.
Still trembling from the intense electric current, the Onigumo's body felt heavy and numb. His every hair stood on end, as if an invisible force had paralyzed him.
"Shave!" In an instant, he stomped his foot hard, retreating like a fleeting afterimage.
Thanks to his honed Observation Haki and years of combat experience, he managed to narrowly avoid the critical blow. However, the relentless electric arcs coursing through his body left him sluggish, his reactions dulled.
Despite the retreat, Wilhelm didn't let up. His sharp Shichiseiken (Seven Star Sword) easily tore through the Onigumo's defenses, leaving a deep, shocking gash on his shoulder.
"Bang, clang, clang..."
The Onigumo immediately manipulated his hair, throwing away the broken blades. The black strands sizzled and shrank from the intense electricity.
Only two intact blades remained, but they were no match for Wilhelm's overwhelming assault.
"Electric shock… is Devil Fruit's ability?" The Onigumo's face twisted into a grimace of anger and shock.
He couldn't shake the unsettling feeling as he stared at the silver-haired boy—so young, yet so composed and eerily cold, making him unable to meet Wilhelm's gaze directly.
"Onigumo Vice Admiral!"
A group of Marines, their faces pale with fear, rushed forward to shield their commander from Wilhelm's onslaught.
Despite their fear, they kept a wary eye on Wilhelm, aware of the terrifying strength the boy wielded.
"I've seen eight-sword swordsmanship before," Wilhelm said coolly, his voice laced with disappointment. "It's just fancy, nothing special."
He calmly wiped blood off his Shichiseiken, his body crackling with electric light. His gaze was piercing as it landed on the Onigumo, whose face was growing increasingly ugly.
"I didn't even go all out earlier," Wilhelm continued, his tone calm yet firm. "I was just gauging your eight-sword style. Once I got serious, Vice Admiral, you were no match."
A hybrid of human and fur tribe, Wilhelm's mastery over electricity was unmatched. Even without relying fully on his Devil Fruit abilities, his control over electric shock was far superior to most, making him an extraordinary force in battle.
Ultimately, the power wasn't just in the ability, but how it was wielded.
For the fur tribe, the use of electricity had always been limited to superficial attacks, serving only as a means of inflicting damage.
Yet for Wilhelm, his mastery of electricity extended far beyond mere attacks. With a deep understanding of the element, he could channel and manipulate it to enhance his muscles and nerves, instantly boosting his combat effectiveness to a terrifying level.
"Sigh..."
The dark green sword, stained with blood, crackled with arcs of electricity, constantly jumping with energy. It was a terrifying sight.
Pointing the weapon at the livid Onigumo, surrounded by desperate Marines, Wilhelm spoke in a calm, yet chilling tone. "If your skills end here, I'll send you off!"
His voice lingered for a moment before adding, "After all, it would be humiliating to lose to Smoothie and the others."
Before the Onigumo could respond, the silvery-white figure of Wilhelm vanished from sight in a flash, a sudden burst of speed.
"Ahhh…" The intense hurricane of electricity surged forward.
Faster and more deadly than before.
So swift that even the trained Marines couldn't react in time.
In an instant, dozens of Marines fell to the ground, blood pooling around them. The electric arcs sparked wildly, leaving many charred and motionless on the deck, writhing in agony.
Wilhelm's relentless assault didn't stop there. He continued to cut down anyone in his path, his sword flashing with deadly precision.
"A hole…"
The Onigumo's eyes burned with fury, his face contorted with rage. "Stop!!!"
His belief in absolute justice didn't mean he would let innocents be slaughtered. His subordinates, his responsibility, could not be reduced to nothing more than casualties in a senseless massacre.
But the Onigumo's fury didn't increase his strength.
"Keng! Keng! Keng..."
The sound of blades clashing rang out as Wilhelm's Shichiseiken continuously pressed forward. Sparks flew, and a shocking gap appeared in the edge of the blade, worn down by the relentless force of Wilhelm's attacks.
Though the Onigumo tried to predict the attacks with his not-so-weak Observation Haki, it was not enough. His movements became sluggish, his defenses barely keeping up with Wilhelm's ghostly speed.
Every swing of Wilhelm's sword brought sparks, blood, and crackling electric arcs. Marines, unable to withstand the shock, fell to the ground, convulsing and paralyzed, unable to defend themselves.
The Onigumo's body showed more and more signs of injury—deep gashes appearing as his body twisted to avoid strikes. Every dodge left him weaker, unable to stop Wilhelm's advance.
There was no escape from the overwhelming tide of power.
